CHAMPAIGN — Illinois’ backcourt rebuild for the 2022-23 season got a boost Thursday with a commitment from top 30 prospect Skyy Clark. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound point guard announced his decision live on ESPNU.

Clark chose Illinois from a top six that also included USC, Maryland, Louisville, Tennessee and Washington. The Los Angeles native is ranked as a five-star recruit and the No. 27 overall prospect in the Class of 2022 in the 247Sports Composite, but 247Sports’ own ranking along with those from Rivals, ESPN and On3 all rank Clark as a four-star prospect anywhere from No. 25 to No. 44 overall in his class.

Clark’s commitment gives Illinois four incoming freshmen for the 2022-23 season along with four-star guards Jayden Epps and Sencire Harris and four-star wing Ty Rodgers. The addition of Clark bumps that class to No. 8 nationally, per 247Sports, and No. 3 in the Big Ten behind Ohio State and Michigan.

Clark was back on the market in the Class of 2022 after decommitting from Kentucky and receiving his release from his National Letter of Intent in early March. Clark originally committed to the Wildcats on Oct. 22, 2020, and in the interim transferred from Ensworth (Tenn.) to national powerhouse Montverde Academy (Fla.) last spring and suffered a partially torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee last summer.

Clark returned from the knee injury in January, but played somewhat sparingly for Montverde Academy through the rest of the season. The Eagles (23-4) won a second consecutive GEICO Nationals championship on April 2. Clark didn’t play in the semifinal win against IMG Academy (Fla.) or championship game against Link Prep (Mo.).

Dillon Francis Original Series ‘Like & Subscribe’ Set To Premiere November 13

Earlier this year, an “influencer only” mural erected in Los Angeles went viral as part of an advertising plot for Dillon Francis’s new original series “Like & Subscribe.” The plot worked, riling up plenty of actual influencers and media outlets in the process.

Now, five months later, the series is finally debuting. “The wait is over,” tweets @likeandsub. “We had some small difficulties (our network shut down and no longer exists) but Like & Subscribe is officially coming out November 13th everywhere! Episode 1 premieres next week on @funnyordie.”

The series was originally meant to come out July 90 on Verizon’s go90 platform. But shortly after that was announced, Verizon announced it was killing off go90. So the cookie crumbles…

Luckily, the series was picked up by Funny Or Die and will debut next week, November 13. As Daily Dot summarizes, “Dillon Francis plays arrogant social media manager Skyy Goldwynne, who can’t remember how many people he manages; Courtney Pauroso plays his fraught assistant Molly. There’s Cody Clark, the age-ambiguous “teen” star played by comedian Brandon Wardell; Hi Haylee (Madeline Whitby), the phone-addicted YouTube star; Lil Dose (Lou Wilson) a popular prankster; and Dronez (Jacob Womack), a gamer and prankster.”

Alex Skyy Posts Heartfelt Warning About Sex Trafficking

Alexis Skyy posted a heartfelt message to fans on Instagram last night, opening up about being a victim of sex trafficking and urging her followers to stay safe. "If you're not with your friends or your family- do not go anywhere by yourself... watch your surroundings and have mace on you, have a taser on you, have a gun. Do whatever you need to do to protect yourself."

She emphasizes that fans from her hometown of Atlanta need to be especially carefully, citing it as a top 5 city for human trafficking in the US, "Atlanta, GA is one of the top 5 cities for human trafficking in the US. Please be safe out here and watch your surroundings! Always trust your gut! If you observe something strange, PLEASE REPORT IT! I’ve never spoken about this, but I seriously felt compelled to share my story because it can happen to any of us. Love you guys."

Skyy's message comes after Clark Atlanta University student Alexis Crawford was found dead. She had been missing for over a week.

Skyy is known for her role on the tv shows Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and Love & Hip Hop: New York. She also had a publicized romantic relationship with rapper Fetty Wap, which ended in 2016.
