ORIGIN: Expatriate scientist Fritz von Meyer's body was devoured by a colony of radiation-mutated bees. Von Meyer's mind now controls the swarm, which now make up his "body" and do his evil bidding.
POWERS: Swarm's body is made up of approximately 220,000 mutant bees, all under Swarm's control. The bees are held together by Von Meyer's mental field and are super-intelligent with a killer instinct.
COMIC UNIVERSE: Swarm was released when a battle between Dr. Octopus and Spider-Man opened his containment chamber at Empire State University, but his plans of conquest were thwarted by the web-slinger.

He decided to use his skills for profit as a mercenary, later adopting the costumed identity of the Jack O'Lantern adorned with a flaming pumpkin for a head, green body armor, and a bouncing pogo platform for transportation."
