context- This started as Tortuca running from capture by Caviar via a desperate sail through the Duskgloom sea. Thinking there was nothing really out there and that the superstitious cookies wouldn't follow. 'Course Caviar wasn't letting him go that easily. Leaping off of his own dang boat to chase the overgrown lizard onto his own boat to wrestle him into submission. ...Except they went and pissed off a massive murdermaid in the process of their little spar+avoiding sinking into the murky depths. where she made her feelings on the situation very clear. Doing everything in her power to see the pirate ship underwater with that pathetic cookie that she cursed with it. Of course, in a bid to at least fend her off, Caviar manned a cannon and got a lucky shot in and blasted her trident out of her hand. Letting it fall onto the deck with a shrill scream and nearly crushing Tortuca under it. However, when he tried hoisting it off of his ship in a seemingly desperate bid to keep the heavy weapon from weighing them down... It actually shrunk to a much more manageable size in his claws. And then he got a wicked idea... Now, Caviar had been dealing with a now even more angry sea beast that was doing her best to squash him like a bug. Until Tortuca shouted out from the crashing sounds of thunder and fury. "LETSEE 'ERE HOW YOU LOIK BEING BLASTED!!" and fired a bright blast of power at the surprised siren, hitting her square on the chest. She let out a pained scream as she was engulfed in a bright light. And like flicking a switch; She was gone. Much to the shock of the Durianeers, Caviar and a Tortuca who honestly didn't think that would work. And then Caviar saw it before anybody else. The look that Tortuca got on his face as he looked back down at the dangerously powerful trident in his claws, grinning like he had won the lottery as you could see a whole slew of terrible ideas running through the pirate lord's head. Fearing what he knew to be the inevitable, Caviar ran over to try and wrestle the thing out of Tortuca's grasp.

Only to be thrown off the ship as the power mad pirate cackles in victory...

Yeah, you can tell I originally wanted to have more comics drawn out to make this more concise as opposed to the small summary I just gave you, but hey these comics here were getting outdated in my eyes and I wanted them posted before I got the dumb idea to redraw and start the process all over again...

This is a little plot I have for having these two crazy kids get along with that good slow-burn gucci~! Don't know what I'mma call this AU but I'll figure it out latur. MErry chimpmus.

I think I'll just copypaste what I wrote in the Side notes just to save my sanity but if you wanna play with the Rotten Durianeers as I started to call them while writing this fic out- Go nuts. Also @ me because I wanna see whatcha do :D Basically Stink-Eye Tortuca is now the Lord of Duskgloom whether he likes it or not and is functionally chained to it, so he assembled his ship, his crew and now stalks the sea in absolute boredom cause no one lives there (I mean the dude tried to take control of a rock festival do you think he could live in Duskgloom and not go stir-crazy?) Unfortunately the power has kiiind of messed him up. (You would not believe how many pictures of rotten Durians and Mangosteens I looked up) so now his crew sails the sea looking for entertainment (and food) any way they can, cannibalizing both ship and crew to keep them from rotting into mush.

Random headcanons (forgot what number was on): Longan Dragon

If you've seen my headcanons before, you should know that I think Longan paints.

And this goes more deeper into the topic of being physically unable to make a self-portrait of themself or draw themself next to their brethren.

Longan Dragon despises the fact that things will never go back to when it was just Dragons who roamed the lands n stuff.

They can't fucking paint themself next to a happy memory of their fellow dragons because they know that any future they could've had that would look like that is already crumbled to dust. :(

so there is many paintings of the rest of the dragons smiling or having fun while Longan is just gone

Probably saw a future where all of the dragons died horrible deaths and had a whole ass breakdown

Does Pearl know Candy Diver or Sorbet Shark? Or Squid Ink?

You see, thanks to Sea Fairy being in its state..... You know, corrupted.

Sorbet Shark have been equally cursed as Pearl, only thanks to them being weaker than her, they also lost their voice.

Pearl knows them because she once ran into Stink-Eye Tortuca, ended up in a cage and saw Sorbet, funny thing is that one fish recognizes another fish.

Pearl had a little chat with them, despite only speaking in a bubbly tone, she understood them perfectly and learned that in the madness of the sea, they lost their fin.

For Pearl, she had earned this punishment, but not them, she wants to give them back the fin they unjustly lost.

And about Candy Diver and Squid Ink, when Pearl was left in the depths of the sea, weeping and wailing, after the destruction of the Saint kingdom.

Her tears contained her negativity and concentrated toxicity, managing to curse anything near her.

In other words, Pearl unwittingly gave life to Candy Diver and Squid Ink.

Candy Diver represents her lost hope of finding the right path, while Squid Ink represents the absolute sadness of being in the abyss.

Pearl doesn't know what she did, but she feels a connection to them.

Cookie of the Week: Lilac Cookie

This Cookie of the Week is...

Cookie name: Lilac Cookie

Pronouns: He/Him

Rarity: Epic

Position: Middle

Type: Support

Lore: (We will not be talking about Ovenbreak Lore.) Lilac is the bodyguard of Prince Yogurt Cream. He plays a role in the story Tropical Soda Islands. Along with Yogurt Cream, they were both through in a ship prison. After escaping, he helps Princess and Knight fight against Stink-Eye Tortuca. He has made minor appearances since.

Personality: Lilac is stoic and monotone, to the point where his voice can come out as a whisper. He takes his duties seriously and while he is quiet, his scent is strong and noticeable. This gives him away often.

Skills: Lilac's Skill is called Chakram Throw. This skill has Lilac throw his chakrams in several rounds over a short period of time. Allies gain an increase in regular attack DMG proportional to their ATK SPD boost rate.

Costumes: Lilac has two costumes: Crimson Sunset Incense and Bodyguard. It can be obtained at any point in the game, only one of them is part of a costume set (Crimson Sunset Incense is part of Mala Hot Pot!), and does have a special effect for Crimson Sunset Incense (but only for Sunset Incense).

Cookie Decor: Lilac does have a Cookie Decor called Silk and Satin. He does a dance and it looks pretty good.

Thoughts: I want to see more of him but I am a bit nervous about what story Devsisters would put him in. Here’s to hoping.

Considering the presence of Stink-Eye Tortuca lurking in the background of this update (haven't finished yet, don't know if it's relevant), Mango Cookie's appearance and the overall tropical vibe of both the current and leaked upcoming event, I'm willing to bet we're getting one big slow buildup to an Ananas Dragon plot right about now

Hmm, maybe. I mean Ananas I think is the most likely candidate for a new Dragon, other than the North and South Dragons from the Dark Cacao Kingdom. And with the Tropical Soda Islands being yet again featured, it seems like Ananas could be getting propped up as the next one, whenever that is. Though granted it could also just be because they wanted a summer update, and tropical islands fit well with a summer theme, so Tropical Soda Islands was chosen as the location

Though as for Stink Eye Tortuca, I haven’t finished either, but he seems to be there to prop up Shacka Rocka and sabotage Shining Glitter, since he and the Durianeers love Shacka Rocka and think Shining Glitter’s just a basic pop star that shouldn’t be allowed in the Rock Festa. Essentially they’re gatekeeping the event and rock music
