Yamal Airlines is an russian airline based in Salekhard, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. It was established in April 7, 1997 and operates regional passenger services. The company is the main carrier in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and one of the largest air carriers in the West Siberian region of Russia. This is important for residents of the Far North, where where at all times aviation is the most important mode of transport, and sometimes the only way to get to the regional center. In 2015, Yamal Airlines received an IATA certificate. In 2016, the first Sukhoi SuperJet 100-95LR arrived in the fleet.
