Why'd you decide to do this Au?

Are you ready for a long answer? Cause this might be a bit long.

Personally I think crossovers are really interesting! Especially if handled in a good way. It opens the doors for new things to be born and interesting sides of characters to be displayed.

This isn’t exactly the first ask blog I’ve run with a Steven Universe Crossover. I have a Kingdom Hearts one. But it was a bit harder for me to keep the characters more in character since I’ve been in that fandom for quite some time and internalized some of the fanon stereotypes. It also never really got that busy?

I still really liked the idea of taking characters and figuring their gems and fusions. And since Homestuck is another really big fandom for me I started guessing what the characters would be as gems. Most of the designs for the characters I did in my Astronomy class instead of note taking.

At first I was only showing the designs to catmewmew. I really wanted to set them all up in an askblog but I was kind of worried that no one would really look at it. But Mewmew encouraged me and thats how this all started.

Some of this stuff I knew from the beginning what I wanted to happen. Other things have just been figured out as asks come in. It’s been really fun and I’m glad to share this experience with all of you!
