1: What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

I think literally the very first thing I wrote about him is “neurotic vampire who likes art” 😭 the whole idea was like rlly rlly talented man who’s mood switches with a snap of ur fingers. 

2: How long was the process before the character reached its final version? (or a version that would be clearly recognizable as the character?)

He actually never changed. The only thing that changed about him was as my art style changed the way I drew hair did too so in his original sketches his hair has all these intense swirls, which I kinda wanna bring back. But that’s such a minor detail and most of the time I do kinda draw them so. Rlly he’s been the same since I created him

3: What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

Appearance actually. I knew what I wanted his personality to be before I designed him but I didn’t know how he was gonna fit into the actual story, that happened last. For a while he was just a design with no background story or connection to the other characters. 

4: And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?

Wow ok so ik I said I always struggled with name and found role easy but role for him. He’s the outlier 😭 like I said he was just a design for like months bc I didn’t know how to add him. I couldn’t decide on his age, or how he would relate to cas and cy - all I knew was he was a good guy. 

5:How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

No meaning I just liked it :P

6: What was the thought process behind their appearance? Did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?

I was rlllllyyt fucking with orange and blue combos when I designed him so 😭 and his hair! I wanted his hair to have swirlies and odd colors to represent his odd and ever changing personality 😸 

7: What is an aspect of their appearance that you like the most?

Not to sound egotistical or sumn idk but I love everything about him he’s my Shayla I love his design I love his personality I love how silly he is he’s my guy 

8: What is the origin of their personality? And let's be honest - how much of it is projecting?

No idea what the origin is but the mood swings and art thing was DEF projecting. Being a teenage girl is HARD!

9: How big is their role in the story? Do they make a frequent appearance or are they a character with little "screentime" but big influence? Or are they just a favourite background guy?

Somewhat frequent appearances! 

10: What is their main character arc in the story? Where do they start and how do they develop? Do they get a happy ending or is their story a tragic one?

Since he’s not exactly a mc it’s harder to say, and also I don’t have the entire story fleshed out yet. But his character arc mostly happened before the story even began. Like taking in Cy rlly influenced his life and changed him for the better. If he were to have an arc in the story now, it would have to do with Cy and being concerned for his safety.

11: Is there any existing character from other media that your character resembles? Was the resemblance intentional or was it a coincidence?

Most likely? But I can’t think of one rn. 

12: Do you have a playlist for the character? What songs do you associate with them and why?

I don’t :< sometimes i associate viva la vida with him tho. He’s oldddd. He’s seen a lot. 

13: Do you have a voice claim for the character? What do you imagine the character sounds like

YEAH LMFAO uh that guy from BSD. Nikkioli or whatever.

14: Do you have any quotes tied to the character, either from the story itself or from another source that fit them?

NO I need to make a Pinterest board for each of them and make it all cute and get quotes

No but it would be fun to!

Paint and angels! Classic art and such!

I love HIM. no hate. He’s the only one I don’t hate on. He’s my beautiful princess with a disorder

STARTING WITH CYRIL!

1: What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

OK so I wanted the story to be like a vampire and a human but originally Cyril was supposed to be a vampire hunter which is rlly funny bc now he’s like the total opposite. I just wanted him to be a complete contrast to Casimir :3

2: How long was the process before the character reached its final version? (or a version that would be clearly recognizable as the character?)

2 years Vro 😭 his appearance only slightly changed he actually changed like the least but his personality changed so much and his motives completely changed 

3: What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

Role for sure. I usually choose role and then appearance and then name! I knew what I wanted him to be from the start :3

Appearance I think ? I changed his hair a lot bc I thought it looked stupid at first. I experimented a lot with his hair and ended up going back to his og style

Ok so it def had meaning to it like I remember googling different name meanings BUTTT. Idk what it means anymore. Something like fierce or strong I can’t remember. But it doesn’t rlly have meaning to it anymore I just like it :P

Total opposite of Casimir that was the goal. Short hair, blonde, shorter, white clothes, tan.

Oh idk…idk if I have a fav thing but I do have a least fav thing. His EYES. But I’m in so deep idk if I can change them. But yeah idk why I chose purple.

Actually funny story I wanted him to have a normal backstory. Like I literally made his backstory for the sake of being normal. And then I made something FAR from normal and thought “yeah that’s good.” Idk what I was doing tbh. And none of his story is projecting :P

Protagonist! Him and Casimir are both equally main characters

His story def gets worse after joining Casimir like once they team up his life goes to hell but it’s ok. His main character arc will be around the time him and Casimir start arguing over how to handle things. He’s ok with murder (if the person is evil) while Casimir is not. That causes issues between them and Cy needs to learn how to be more level headed and rational!

Idk actually. Vanitas a little with the crazy personality I think, it was unfortunately somewhat intentional but I’m trying to make it less obvious bc I hate how similar my story was to that bc it inspired me a lot. That’s why I changed it like completely.

I don’t 💔 idk what song would go with him though, I think silly songs like y2K pop

No voice claim but I imagine it a lot higher than Casimirs. Like high and slightly annoying in an enduring way if you know what I mean

I HAVE EXACTLY ONE THJNG IVE WRITTEN FOR THEM and he says “I know you wouldn’t have done that, I believe you.” And I like that one bc it shows his blind faith in Casimir which is sweet but also not always a good thing :3

Yes actually but I lost it bc it was on my school account which got deleted when i graduated. But yeah I had to make one for a project in school.

Apples! Idk why but apples! I just associate him with them

Amarus! Amarus is his adopted father but other than that he doesn’t have anyone

I love his personality I think he’s so silly. I hate him bc he’s stupid and gross 💖

I have this curse where I post literally everything I think about and do so….idk if I have any :( I will say I rlly want to write more about his childhood, but also about him and Casimir having conflict. I feel like I draw them being all happy and cute often but their personalities and morals do rlly clash which causes a lot of issues- they both have to kinda grow and change with each other in order to make the partnership last. Which requires a lot of fighting and such.
