While hunting for caps for Soma's ethnicity headcanon post from earlier I found this panel too, and something I never noticed during my prev rereads is how the first man the Obsidian Goddess fell in love with and made a contract with was a Date member...

#tbd.#muse: date soma.#I was wondering if he's a Date or a Takeda bc they have similar helmets but no... this is definitely Date's #The Date's helmets look more like crescent moons whereas the Takeda's look like a V / like oni horns that meet in the middle #And if you look at the very first panel this guy's helmet is clearly a crescent moon #Plus he even has the same kind of hair texture as Soma... so he might be either one of his ancestors or part of another branch of the Date #Not to mention Kiyomune (Soma's brother) had this Exact outfit too as well as an eyepatch on the same eye as this guy #So much keeps linking back to the Date... @ Ohtaka now can we link back to SOMA I need to see more of him
