#The Strzyga: Elya

   Tonight was an utter feast. After a week of preparation, Elya had lured her prey into the woods before chasing them deeper and deeper- until they had no hope of escape. Only then did she make her move and begin her vicious, mindless attack. Much to her delight her prey lasted far longer than any other had in the past, allowing her to cut and rip and tear for a far more sustaining feeding. 

Delighted she would take a deep breath of the cold night air- now tinged with copper. It was a beautiful night, the moon full and shining down exactly into the clearing to show Elya straddling the eviscerated body. 

For the briefest of moments Elya closes her eyes- before they dart wide open once more. Something was wrong, something in the air.... an unfamiliar scent, the sound of footsteps approaching. 

Jumping away from the body, Elya drops into a pouncing position and flashes her claws while hissing like an animal. 

“Show yourself!” She barks, eyes flicking over the darkened woods. “-Or I’ll tear your fucking throat out!”

Out of curiousity, what kind of monster lady is Elya? I'm quessing vampire given the fangs? (Sorry can't find an about page, I'm on mobile)

She is based somewhat loosely on the Strzyga! They're kind of a close relative of vampire myth, and definitely worth a dive into reading about. She's definitely been taken in a different direction than classical lore but I wanted to shake things up! :)

   Pacing back and forth, Elya struggled putting weight on her left leg- almost certainly broken after her fall. The pain kept her alert and allowed her a form of self-punishment for her stupid mistake.

It had been pure greed- the kind of mistake a much younger hunter would make. Elya had been so caught up in the pursuit of her prey she had charged blindly ahead. She had been so close..... so close to sinking her talons into them...

Unfortunately for the Strzyga, she had not seen the pit while her prey did. They narrowly skirted it while Elya found herself falling quite suddenly. The prey had scrambled away and left the wounded monster to the pit. Fortunately for Elya she wasn’t human- such a fall would have surely killed her otherwise. Upon inspection of her wounds it seemed like a few ribs and her left leg were broken. 

Now the sun burned bright overhead, beating down directly into the pit. Wincing at the heat, Elya does the best she can to make herself small.... under such direct sunlight her protective gear only did so much.

So Elya and Lena are monsters, but what kind are they both?

It says on their character pages but for quick reference-

Elya- Strzyga: A female demon often associated with vampire lore and witchcraft. They're also sometimes tied to owls (Greek Myth also has the Strix, which are like owl harpies)

Lena- Nixie: European shapeshifting water spirits. The ways vary but they tend to be known for luring people in to their waters and drowning them.

What if you suddenly grew a dick? (to Elya and Lena)

"You know.... The Strzyga of myth were often associated with Witchcraft.... I suppose there may be ways to alter my own physiology- as long as it's temporary."

Lena already has a very nice dick, no need for magical growth. Not that she's going around broadcasting it.
