🌱 Dragon Slayers: Evolution 🌱

This took a long time, but it was so fun to practice drawing full bodies (and cats 😭) for once! I actually sketched out the concept for these 3 pieces months ago— and recently decided to commit to proper drawings :D

[These pieces were for pure nostalgia, and to revisit media that was part of my artistic journey as a tween! I know the series has major flaws— the treatment of female characters, tasteless fanservice and poor relationship writing, to name a few. I despise these aspects, of course.

I want to make it clear that I drew this art to explore something that shaped my younger self's work. I don't condone Mashima's writing choices, nor did I even keep up with the later arcs of the story and the spin-off(s). Thank you for reading!]

The song's meaning is said to be about Lucy's journey w/ her friends 🏆 📮 Online voting was held 23.12.22 ~ 24.01.08 🗳️ Two other outstanding performance awarded songs also got music videos along with 'Antares' -- 'FAiRLY DAYS' by Fantasia (Fantasia_koala) and 'Ice Make' [eng] by Juri (jurino_official)

Kiwoo meeting pre-monarch Jinwoo would be funny asf.

Like imagine he goes into a gate and was separated with Suho. His initial reaction is to panic and sob until he catches a whiff of a familiar scent. And ofc he recognizes it as his dad.

And Kiwoo being the daddy's boy he is runs to Jinwoo in a full dash but comes to a screeching halt when he sees a wimpy looking 17 year old (Jinwoo is 24 in this) and he just goes o_0...??? His nose is like a bloodhound thanks to his mother's genes so his nose couldn't have been mistaken.

Kiwoo: Uhh... What's your name mister?

Jinwoo:... Sung Jinwoo.

Kiwoo: Daddy?

Jinwoo: Excuse me??????

Yeah, this kinda, I wouldn't say spiraled, but to where we were getting quite of bit of angst at first for Wednesday for awhile.

Maybe if it was on a different day, that would be cool, but since they're posting it on wholesome Wednesday kinda brings it down a bit. At least for me it did

Oh me too! The first fic I saw really blindsided me. I can't read anything on here anymore without thoroughly checking the tags for any sign of angst.

I think a lot of the people have started saving the angsty stuff for another day (Sunday I think?) so they don't ruin WSTW for everyone, which is nice. And I've seen them be better with tagging it too.
