"..." She was entirely sure how to respond to that kind of question. Normally, she would be forced to say yes, whether it be a criminal that she took in or a victim that needed genuine help. But in regards to him, she...

"I don't know."

The fact that she was so unsure of herself was what concerned her the most. She was supposed to save the world, to protect and defend every life that existed on the planet, and yet... She knew it would only be a matter of time before they caught on. Until he caught on.

"I genuinely don't know, but... I intend to do my best." She let out a quiet breath, closing her eyes. She was... Tired... Oh so exhausted at this point. How much longer can she keep going until she breaks down like they had done to others prior?

"Ah. . . Do you think so?" She couldn't help but find herself asking, "I do not think she likes me very much, though. . . And she seemed preoccupied enough as is. The last thing I would want to do is bother her regarding something as innocent as that." The less she could pester others about issues she had, the more she hoped they would come to enjoy her presence.

"I am not too overly worried about it. There are many blends I have yet to try from this country, so letting myself get homesick this soon over a small detail would not be productive."

"What is normal, or not normal, does not particularly matter to me," he could not yet say whether the taste was to his liking, but he noted down the habit as something uniquely Dianne, yet another thing he had learned about his friend.

"Though if you asked, Ririchiyo-sama might be able to use her contacts to acquire some of those blends...I'm sure she would help you if you asked."

“And that’s okay.” She admitted to him, a small smile on her face. “Not everyone is going to enjoy things, or the same things as others. It’s what makes people unique to one another, and it should be appreciated more often than it is.”

Besides. . . Ever since the accident, she had lost interest in a number of things she used to love before. Fireworks are now just loud noises, art now things that she cannot experience like she used to.

“Different wires can be a beautiful thing.” But it is also the downfall of some.

“I must be honest,” The blonde seemed to admit, “I am not entirely sure myself. I do not personally recall the name stated in this letter, nor did Maika when I asked her about it. Unfortunately, we have been unable to gather any information regarding the sender.”

She knew it was nerve-wracking. Why wouldn’t it be? A letter sent to him that ended up on their end instead of Clarines. “The only possibility I can think of is it being due to your name being connected to Hayate, and so the assumption that you live here must have been made by whomever the sender was. After all, Zen does not have your name released to the public in Clarines.”

"I... I-I..." It felt difficult to breathe... Her chest felt tight, and her body was stuck in place. Dianne heard what he said, and she understood what he had meant by it, but...

She couldn't, literally. To do that would take so much physical and mental effort, she wouldn't even make it out in time. This was the job she needed to do. It had been the latest one she had taken on, and she had been hoping it would be a quick in-and-out job. She didn't realize the contents of it until she had already gotten started with the beginning steps.

She didn't think the Port would be after the same group she was. It seemed that Mori had been on his game, as of late, with these sorts of things. Jobs have been getting more difficult for the WCA to find, and this seemed to be exactly why. But she had least expected Mori himself to be here, taking care of the issue. He tended to have other people do the dirty work for him...

"...I..." She wheezed out, voice broken, yet soft. "I... Can't..." She wanted to... Good god, she wished she could. Every fiber of her being hated the position she was in, knowing full well that this was going to eventually lead to the exact thing that Akihiko mentioned back at the meeting.

It was the job... To force her way in, then break them from the inside out.

She tilted her head forward, simply trying to breathe amidst the absolute agony she was feeling at that moment. It hurt... Just thinking about abandoning the mission hurt so much...

The blonde practically choked on air for a moment, a tear falling from her face. "Mori..." She hated the fact that he even had a chance to see her like this. Broken down, completely useless, and unable to even try to save herself from the grim reality. They took a liking to her appearance... Among other things.

She wanted this to be over already.

She could feel herself going limp, her body giving into itself from the mental struggle. "I'm... I'm sorry... So sorry..." And from there, she found herself breaking down into sobs.

"Ah--" She hadn't expected the action, but it wasn't one that particularly didn't like or anything like that. In fact, she could say that it was enjoyable. "Welcome back, Raj. I was just preparing to make dinner."

The blonde found herself mimicking the action, leaning over to give him a quick peck on his cheek right back. "I was thinking of trying something new for the children. Get them a bit more used to other types of food. Do you think they'd enjoy homemade chicken tenders?"

The woman had far from expected something like this at such a time. Sure, they had gone at it like that a few times, but those times were rare and when they were desperate for any kind of connection. It was something that she had grown used to, unsure of what the implications ever were regarding it...

So when she had gotten kissed, once the other moved away, her lips parted in surprise, a hand mindlessly going to hold onto his shoulder in order to stabilize herself. "Ah... Steven..."

"I never expected the weather to be like this today..." She surely had experienced winter before, but she hadn't seen it in Japan yet, so she wasn't entirely sure when the season started. It made it hard to prepare to go out a lot of the time, since she wanted to be able to have an outfit with a coat, just in case.

But then she felt something on her shoulders, and she perked up in curiosity. It didn't take much for her to realize who it belonged to, looking back over toward Soushi with parted lips of surprise. "Are... Are you sure you want me to?..." She was sure it was cold for him, as well, so...

"Oh, this one?" She found herself mindlessly asking, turning to look over toward the other. Looking down at herself, she picked the cloth up at her hip, doing a light bow akin to how a princess would. It was the type she was most used to, even if she had been in Japan for some time now. "I had actually designed it myself. I took the time after some things were canceled to make a prototype of it."

She had wanted to see how much interest there could be in a product akin to it. It seemed that she'd done something right, given the amount of compliments she'd gotten over the course of the day. "Would you like one made? Perhaps a cream one with red accents would be fitting."

"Ah..." The blonde felt herself remain quiet for a long moment, before moving to touch her forehead. If she were to be fair, she hadn't quite realized just how painful it was until it was mentioned to her. After all, she usually did her best to think of little else other than the current goings when she was in the common areas and the others were around.

"I believe... It is just a migraine. I will be alright..." She instinctively reassured the other, moving her gaze away from him. "I have the medication in my room, I will take some as soon as I arrive."

"O-oh, there is no need for such things." The blonde found herself instinctively responding, as she looked over toward the other. "I do the things I do without the expectation of repayment. After all, to expect something like that from an act of kindness feels... Strange." Rude, almost, but she wasn't sure if that was the right way to put it.

"Simply be yourself, is all I ask. As long as you are content, I am rather satisfied myself. Seeing others get better with my assistance is rather nice to see."

"Ah... Alright?" The blonde found herself mildly confused, slowly blinking. She was trying to figure out why this would come across all of a sudden. Could it be that there was a Youkai nearby at the moment that worked akin to the use of eyesight? Or was there something else on his mind, instead?

"One would think..." She muttered to herself, mindlessly looking downwards to give her neck a light break. She had been staring up for a good while, as of now, and had been desperately hoping to be able to catch a glimpse of a clear sky when she was this far outside the city. Perhaps luck just wasn't there for her today...

"I would not worry too much about it," She breathed out, rubbing the back of her neck, "It was not the intention of coming out here tonight, perhaps another chance will come sometime soon." It sucked, but she could live without it. It had just been a mindless thought of hers since it had been a while...

"Ah, Shirogane..." She found herself a tad surprised to see the other, especially in a place like this. Dianne had one of her shows today and knew better than to not attend. And so, the blonde had done so and found herself awaiting the results of the show. After all, she played in two different portions this time, so it was likely to take some time. And so, she found herself with the window to her room open, taking in some the night fresh air.

"Perhaps a tad, yes... But I did not quite expect to see you here, of all places." As far as she was aware, the cafe was still open...

"While that does, indeed, get said plenty..." She could feel her gaze moving away for a moment, before allowing herself to let out a quiet breath. She forced her gaze back toward the other, a small smile on her face. "When you get older... You will think back on your own past and think similar things. It is simply a test of time, something that we all endure and experience. The past is still the past, and none can change it. It simply makes us all the more hoping that the choices we make today will make us more pleased than previous ones."

Mindlessly, she found herself putting a hand on the other's shoulder, moving to look out the window to a preoccupied Maika. "All the more reason to do ones best, as your mother says."

"Well... It isn't, really..." She found herself quietly muttering in response. Not every store or place she liked to go to was the most accessible to her or other disabilities. But she had found a workaround that worked for her. While it worked for her, it still made her wonder most of the time...

She gripped the wailing for the steps, carefully getting her foot up to the next one. "While I wish it was... It isn't the most advocated problem within Hoenn. It's something... You have to force yourself to get used to it."
