do you think there will ever be a theaterpass like how they have moviepass and you could see up to one play per day by paying the monthly fee?

I think it would have to be pretty expensive, and there are significantly fewer seats to sell (one show one night in one theater vs. a movie in many movie theaters for multiple showings every day). It would be neat if they could do an indie theater version, since most tickets at that level are $18-25 each, but you’d have to get a lot of folks to participate.

I worked on a show that sold discounted tickets on Groupon, where they could be bought last-minute, and that was a logistical nightmare. I don’t know if the slight increase in profits was worth it, and we never did it again.

ACT in Seattle does something similar to this! For $30/month, you can see anything you want in every space they have. That's five spaces and they program both ACT shows and a shitload of smaller theaters in town. It's a LOT of theater.

That’s such a great idea! Is there a cap on how early/late you can buy the tickets, or how many you can see a month? I could see New World Stages adopting something like this (hell they're already in a multiplex).
