event prediction fun game!
HEY yall lets make event predictions n see who gets closest when it actualy comes out!!! a lil more light hearted stuff to post along all the drama
heres mine:
the new mini town will be some sort of forest theme maybe with a rock cliff aesthetic too
new npc will have red hair or black hair n will be male or gender neutral
npc name will start with a D or maybe an S
they will be possibly be an animal person since lots of event npcs have been humany up to now, n maybe a bird person bc there havent been many of those
yall may be right that the teams are 3 teams based on each 3s forest witch but i wonder if therell be a 4th team like irin or smthn whos an alternative against all the witches entirely
the summer wings n other items will still come out but recolored maybe. or theyll have another item with same stats n placement as the wings
part of dv story that changes depending on which team wins is going to decide the direction for 3s forest but i dont think it will be "which witch wins control of the forest" more like that the forest will either be destroyed entirely or saved
or maybe smthn in event outcome will determine which full town we get next like if there are multiple possible town concepts lined up this locks us into one of them being made first before the others bc the story now takes us there sooner. anjie said a long time ago they were looking into less linear story paths (so not having to complete every town in order from louis hill to vaer before being able to unlock a new town. instead having new towns branch out from ealirer existing towns) so this would be a good set up for that. also gets around the "cant release new town until we fix vaer reef" thing. not just a mini town but maybe new big town location set up to branch from 3s.
there will be a new humanoid looking event pet
some sort of bad magical energy that can spread out of 3s forest n infect other areas too
the teams will end up working together in the end somehow story wise
a new post border will be released
new npc shop will be how they cycle in old monthly sets OR will be a "pawn shop" type a thing
some sort of animal messenger or guide
idk how but marvel will show up maybe
one of the clothing items will be controversial somehow
new food item or multiple food items
pets will not be involved in the battle competition part of things
okay thats all ive been thinkin about! rlly wanna hear others predictions even if theyre silly! just throwing stuff out there who knows maybe youll be secretly a prophet lmfao

RP HOOKS ––– –– –
Café Nobilitea: Alus is the proprietor of a western-style teahouse with a distinct theme for elegance, royalty, and other-worldliness - His café is bright, full of flowers, and always playing soft kind-hearted piano music; the type of place a person could become lost in whence they’ve become tired of the grueling and dark outer world; a real heaven and haven. He often spends his free time there and enjoys sitting with his customers to get to know them.
Grand Company Militia: Alus is a very active member with the Eorzean grand companies in fighting against the Garlean empire and any other threats to the peace there might be upon the world. It’s very possible your character might have teamed up with him at some point in active duty.
The Prince on a White Horse: Alus patrols random fields often in order to keep the peace. Your character or someone your character knows might have been saved by the mysterious ‘Prince on a white horse’ while being attacked by bandits or beastmen, who oft leaves without giving his name.
A Fellow Warrior Of Light: Alus has helped out the Scions of the Seventh Dawn on occasion due to his status as a Warrior of Light; one of many.
LOOKING FOR ––– –– –
Long-Term ANYTHING!: Friendships, rivalries, casual familiarities, romances, anything. Alus has lived a long life without any PC RP interactions, and I feel his writing suffers for it. I want someone who will be there for the long run and get to know him. I want stories to develop. I want Alus to grow because of other people.
Open-minded villains!: Alus has the patience of a saint and will befriend the nastiest of criminals no matter what. Alus will stop them from directly committing serious crimes he may be there to witness (murder, kidnapping, robbery, etc.), but will ultimately be very forgiving and calm when dealing with these topics. He wants to genuinely make a connection with people he doesn’t understand and strives his best to soften anybody’s heart, no matter how hard. His ultimate goal is to change their ways for the better through patience and understanding.
Platonic flirts!: Alus has a lot of love to give and happy to give it to nearly everyone and anyone. He throws around the words ‘I love you’ quite easily, and if he is especially crushing on someone, he will hold their hands and hug them openly despite his normal dislike of physical touch. He is most happy when he has a large circle of queerplatonic relationships, but will be absolutely exclusive to their ‘steady’ when he has made that romantic commitment.
Distant family members!: Alus knows very little of the Beauregards; his adoptive father and surnamesake did not speak of them much. Alus is fascinated with Elezen culture and considers himself one of them. He would be incredibly happy to find anyone with the same last name who would welcome him to his adopted ancestor’s information.
ADVENTURE!: Once in awhile, let’s RP somewhere other than a unmoving place. Let’s RP in a dungeon. Let’s RP while doing gold saucer chores. Let’s RP while talking to random minor NPCs. Let’s RP while doing something other than just sitting! It can help a lot with improvisation and keep the creative juices flowing.
ABOUT THE MUN ––– –– –
Who I am: Hey, my name’s Will. I’m a 24 y/o prep cook living in Alaska. My family’s straight-up wiccan, I got 3 black cats, I love super flashy ridiculous fashion, 1980s comedies, and my favorite game’s Bayonetta. I’m a queer Aquarius with mild ADHD. Buddhism and pacifism are super important to me. I love the McElroys?? and uh. I yell in caps a lot. i WILL make you a playlist of music if you ask for recommendations, don’t fuckin tempt me. I’m a casual goofus fuck. here’s my ‘me’ tag on my personal,
Server: Balmung, Crystal Data Center
Time Zone: Alaska (GMT-8)
Availability: 11AM-2AM (subject to change)
Writing Style: Rapidfire! 95WPM. I like to RP just like I type normally - as thoughts pop up, I type ‘em, just like if I was talking. I’m not a big fan of waiting for turns; I have an anxiety disorder and that particularly makes me extremely anxious! However, I am happy to do short paragraph RP with you if we’ve been RPing long enough. Huge paragraph RP is 100% OK on Discord!
Platforms: In-game(preferred) or Discord.
Restrictions ––– –– –
No ERP!
No Permadeath! I really do not want to RP with anyone who intends to eventually kill off their character, either. This is a legitimate trigger for me.
RP Fighting...? I’ve never done this before. I’m not a fan of physical injury so it’s unlikely I would want to, either. But if the situation really calls for it, I’m open to learning. I will not allow you to permanently disfigure or disable my character - temporary injury is alright, but please talk to me about it first.
Mature Themes...? This is okay for me. Swearing, murder, prostitution, drugs.. I’m an adult! I don’t mind these themes being mentioned or being used as a backdrop to a prompt. Alus isn’t a fan of these things though! So just keep that in mind.
Sexual Assault...? For the most part, NO. However, a forceful kiss? An inappropriate touching that stops as soon as my character says no? Maybe. Ask me beforehand and be clear about what you’re thinking, no surprises.

Schneeple
The simulacrum spell is a marvel of arcanery, imbuing a body of snow and ice with a shadowy reflection of life. The prevailing archaeothaumical opinion is that spell was originally developed via observation of the effects of a mirror of opposition. However, the effect has also been known to appear in nature. During the dark days of winter, when the Shadowfell and Feywild are both in close proximity to the Prime Material, icy reflections are cast, and people going out to the woodpile may meet themselves. Even whole cities have appeared in snow fields - replicas of existing cities, filled with people made of snow. People who are unaware that they are anything but normal. Most often, these illusions melt with the realization of their falseness, or at latest, when spring arrives. But not always.
Schneeple originate as reflections of people, but do not remain a soul-less reflection. Unlike the copies created by a mirror of opposition, they are not filled with loathing for the original. And unlike products of a simulacrum spell, they can learn, change, and grow. The only sure tell is that their body temperature is noticeably lower than the base creature's. In times of stress or disruptive magical conditions, they can revert to colors of ice and snow. Some Schneeple seek out such conditions, to mark themselves as different from the original.
As a rule, Schneeple tend towards the philosophical. They are aware they they are redundant, just a reflection of a 'real' person. That awareness drives them, be it to despair or great heights. And sometimes, they can co-exist quite happily with the original, not redundant at all.
Many Schneeple pursue the same class as the original did, but some are drawn to pursue different paths - either  to make a break with the original or to take advantage of their icy and illusory nature. Some make pacts with powers of shadow and ice - from the Archdevil Levistus to the Unseelie Court to the goddess Auril. Others simply explore their nature as illusionists or monks.
Play a Schneeple (Schneeson?) if you want to:
Have a standard character with just a touch of unreality.
Reinvent your character over the course of play, as they break away from their original.
Grapple with existential problems (’Who am I?’ ‘What makes me me?’), in addition to fell beasts.
Tie yourself strongly to an existing character (PC or NPC), or play with ideas about twins or non-shapeshifting dopplegangers.
Re-use your last character sheet.
Variant origins. The above Schneeple origin is designed to produce a ready population - not common, but recognizable. Some games may prefer more bespoke variants - produced by a slightly less cursed mirror of opposition, or a variant of the simulacrum spell that produces a learning illusion. Schneeple exist with the intent to tackle transhuman ideas like cloning, and fear of replacement. As a bonus, playing a Schneeple is free license for the DM to break out all the twin comedy hijinks.
As a more folkloric and less planar origin: It is said that in this world, every person has seven doubles. They all share a face, and perhaps a sliver of soul. If nothing else, they are born under the same moon, and die under the same moon. They rarely find each other, but are often mistaken for another.
Variant names. Schneeple, or Snow People, may be a touch too silly for some campaigns. Alternatives: Snowfolk, Living Snow, Snow Clones, Simulacras, Lossedaid (the elvish term), Nobashmônekik (the dwarven term), Simmies, Slushies.
Rules for D&D, D&D, and D&D (3.5, 4E, 5E)
D&D 3.5
Schneeple is a template that can be applied to any type of creature. It gains the following qualities:
+2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom. As creatures of shifting ice and snow, rather than solid flesh and bone, Schneeple are resistant to injury. The peculiar nature of their existence gives them a philosophical bent, and a certain level of detachment that may also be linked to their quasi-illusory status.
Living Snow. Physically, Schneeple do not require food, air, or warmth. However, their illusion of self does require all of those things, and they can only survive without them as might a normal person. Their physical make-up does give them resist cold 10. Their lack of an actual metabolism does mean that they are immune to disease and poison. Additionally, they have a 25% chance to negate any critical hit or sneak attack made against them, as per the light fortification armor property.
Illusion-sense. As creatures animated by illusion, Schneeple are unusually aware to the presence of other illusions. They receive a +4 bonus on any skill rolls to notice an illusion spell or effect, and a +4 bonus on any saves against illusion spells or effects.
Level Adjustment +1. Schneeple have several advantages over the base creature, and thus level slightly slower. I highly recommend using the LA buy-off rules. In short, a 3rd level Schneeple character may spend 3,000 XP to permanently remove their level adjustment (and catch up to their non-LA comrades).
Feats:
Icy Reason
Requirements: Bluff 12 ranks, Knowledge (religion) 6 ranks, Sense Motive 12 ranks, Spellcraft 6 ranks, Schneeple
Benefits: Your understanding of lies, illusion, truth, and faith result in complete control of your own consciousness. You are immune to mind-affecting spells and effects.
Living Ice
Requirements: BAB +6, Schneeple
Benefits: You are immune to critical hits and sneak attacks. You gain the [Cold] template, becoming immune to cold damage and vulnerable to fire damage.
D&D 4E
Schneeple is an available Theme for 4E characters. For more details on Themes, check out Heroes of the Feywild or Heroes of Elemental Chaos (among others). In short, a Theme is the Heroic-tier counterpart to Paragon Paths and Epic Destinies. Any character can take one Theme.
Starting Feature: Your origin becomes elemental. For the purposes of effects that relate to creature origin, you are considered to be an elemental. You gain resist cold 5. At 11th level, this resistance increases to 10, and at 21st level, this resistance increases to 15.
You also gain the living snow power.
Living Snow
Schneeple Thematic Power
The area around your injury is revealed as snow, and snow doesn't hurt.
Encounter ♦ Elemental Immediate Reaction ♦ Personal
Trigger: You are bloodied by an attack.
Effect: You use your Second Wind. You make a save against an ongoing effect.
Level 5 Feature: You have come to a greater understanding of your own nature, not just as a creature of snow, but one born of shadows. This manifests as a greater awareness of the world, of light and shadows, of reality and unreality. You have a +2 power bonus to Perception checks. If you make a saving throw against an illusion, you can roll twice and take the better result.
Level 10 Feature: You have come to the conclusion that, despite the falseness of your genesis, despite your memories that predate you, that you are still real and not just a dark reflection. This certainty brings with it confidence, and the ambition to prove your reality to everyone else. You have a +2 power bonus on your Will Defense.
Also, if you are affected by the dominated condition, when rolling saving throws to remove that condition, you can roll twice and take the better result.
Optional Powers: You have engaged in a deeper study of your own unique capabilities, rather than relying on those gained from your original’s heritage and training. You can take these powers instead of one of the usual powers you would gain at the listed level.
Level 2 Utility Power:
Icy Reflection
Schneeple Utility 2
You plunge your hand into the water, and draw out an exact replica of the item in your other hand.
Daily ♦ Elemental, Illusion Standard Action ♦ Personal
Prerequisite: You must e holding the item you wish to replicate. You must have access to water or snow, at least a waterskin's worth. Alternately, you can spend a healing surge to use yourself as a water source.
Effect: You create a replica of an item you can see. It has all the same properties as the original, including magical properties.
End Conditions: If the item is not in contact with you for 1 minute or if a daily power of the item is used, it melts back into water.
Level 6 Utility Power:
Mirrorstep
Schneeple Utility 6
You point, and another you appears on the battlefield.
Encounter ♦ Elemental, Illusion, Teleportation Move Action ♦ Ranged 10
Effect: You teleport to a destination within range, leaving a quasi-real illusion of yourself behind. Alternately, you create the illusion of yourself at the indicated point. The illusion has sufficient substance to engage in combat, making basic attacks, occupying a space, enable flanking, speak normally, etc, but cannot move, or deal any damage. At the start of your next turn, or once it has taken damage equal to your level, it disappears.
Sustain Minor: The illusion of you remains until the start of your next turn.
Level 10 Utility Power:
A More Perfect Reflection
Schneeple Utility 10
You wonder what your original would do here, and decide that whatever they would do, you can do it better.
Daily ♦ Shadow No Action ♦ Personal
Trigger: You make an attack roll, skill check, or saving throw, and dislike the result.
Effect: You add 2d6 to the result.
D&D 5E
To play one of the Schneeple, add the following features to any existing race:
Living Snow. Whenever you roll Hit Dice to recover, roll twice and take the better result. You have resistance to cold, but you are at disadvantage on any saves against fire damage.
Quasi-Real. You have advantage on saves against illusions. If a dispel magic spell is cast on you, you take 5d6 damage (Wisdom save for half) in addition to the usual effects. Also, if you enter an area of antimagic (such as created by antimagic field), you must make a Charisma save vs DC 20 or gain one level of exhaustion.

Free Guy: On Set With Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
“Let’s get those energy levels up guys… let’s just get this done!” Shawn Levy is in motivational mode. The Night At The Museum director is cajoling his crew via megaphone for another action-packed take on the set of his new movie, Free Guy—it’s nearly the end of the working day, and the finish line is in sight.
The scene is reset, and a worn-out Ryan Reynolds–looking decidedly un-badass in a pastel blue Henley t-shirt and beige chinos—psyches himself up for another highly choreographed fight sequence. His opponent? A very badass-looking stuntwoman in combat pants, leather jacket, and sunglasses, pistol at the ready.
As soon as Levy yells “Action!,” though, Reynolds flips the switch into action hero mode, throwing himself into some impressively complex—and lightning fast—gun-fu, before the weapons are tossed aside and the fists start flying. Appearances, it seems, can be deceptive.
It’s May 2019, and the action is unfolding on a wobbly monitor underneath Boston’s huge Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge (simply “the Lenny” to the locals), just beside the famous Charles River. Sure, it’s a picturesque spot, but—Reynolds’s presence aside—this feels more like the guerilla shoot of a modestly-budgeted actioner than a huge Hollywood production.
But again, things are not as they seem. This set-up is actually a tiny fragment of a much more ambitious canvas. Boston is doubling for Free City—a bustling open-world video game setting that’s home to Reynolds’s Guy, an increasingly self-aware non-player character (or NPC for the gamers among us).
“What you’re seeing today,” Levy enthusiastically explains, shouting to make himself heard over the almost gale-force spring breeze, “is Guy taking control of his life and fighting back against some of the people who are wreaking havoc and violence in his city.”
Guy’s burgeoning sentience is spurred on by the appearance of “Molotov Girl” (played by Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer), the captivating, tough-as-nails avatar of human programmer Milly. Before long, the two are fighting side-by-side to save Free City from being shut down for good by the real-life “bad guy”—obnoxious game publisher Antoine (Taika Waititi). “Guy realizes that he doesn’t necessarily need to just accept the world as it is presented to him,” Levy says. “He can actually have input on it. And that’s something I think we can all understand—the possibility of affecting the world around you is a powerful thing.”
“It feels like a five-year-old getting an accelerated education on life,” adds Reynolds, joining Levy quickly before another take. “There’s something sweet and child-like about this guy. I love that there’s this kind of wish fulfilment element to it, which I don’t see too often in modern films. It felt important and timely—I like playing an optimistic character right now.” (Little did he know at the time, that sentiment was to become even more relevant to Free Guy’s delayed release in a post-Covid world.)
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
A high concept often requires a high bar when it comes to onscreen action, especially in today’s post-Marvel blockbuster landscape (Free Guy, incidentally, was one of the last Fox films to be in production as the Disney takeover was completed). Judging by today’s on-set antics, Levy and Reynolds have that box ticked—and then some.  “It’s a video game, so anything is possible,” the actor says. “That’s just one of the greatest tools or gifts you can have as people who love creating stuff—it allows you to think outside the box.” When it comes to the stunts, Levy describes that “absence of rules” as “liberating;” for Reynolds, we imagine it’s pretty exhausting, too. “I mean, days like today I definitely feel 42 years old,” he laughs. “But no, it’s a ton of fun. I mean, I’m running around, doing choreography… I’m having the time of my life.”

Jodie Comer Q&A
You’re playing two versions of the same character in the film. How different are they?
They both have their strengths, but in very different departments. In the real word, Milly is a games programmer, and then Molotov Girl is this avatar she’s created within the world of Free City—she’s this badass chick who rides a motorcycle and is ridiculously cool.
What’s been the most challenging aspect of the role?
The physicality of Molotov Girl. I’m having to learn so much, because she’s very agile, super athletic, does everything very smoothly… and I’m not! It’s requiring a lot of physical training and an awareness of my own physicality. I did a scene the other day where she was even just walking away, and everything about her has to be otherworldly and fierce. Shawn was on the other end of the street and he was just like, “More Beyoncé!” And I was like, “OK! I know what that means.” [Laughs]
This is your first big Hollywood blockbuster. What was it about this project that really stood out for you?
There’s something very new about this script. This is a video game, but it’s live-action—and seeing how [the filmmakers] are getting those nuances in, whether it’s the speed or angle of the camera or the sets or what the costume and make-up departments are coming up with, is just brilliant. With games and film, I feel like a lot of it is becoming intertwined now, and this is a very fresh outlook on the gaming world and how it’s shown on film.
Are you much of a gamer yourself?
I don’t actually play a lot of video games, but I have been recently—I was like, if my character is a gamer, I should probably get into it… Spider-Man is my favorite at the minute. I tried Grand Theft Auto but it just gave me mild anxiety. I was coming away from that quite stressed. So I am sticking to Spider-Man—he’s my go-to guy!
Free Guy is set to be released on 21 May 2021
