The thing I hate about peoples "Venom is supposed to be scary!" takes is I dont even really disagree inherently but the scary thing about Venom was originally the fact that they knew everything about Peter and used that information to relentlessly stalk him, showing up where he lived and where Aunt May lived multiple times and just kind of terrorizing him. Genuinely Venom just being a stalker is so much creepier then the whole like "Venom is a scary evil monster man and the symbiote turns you into the worst version of yourself!" kind of thing people go for

#that scene where they found his new address in one of their early ASM appearances is BONE CHILLING ACTUALLY and nobody even #TALKS about it #This is also why Spectacular Spiderman rules so much they leaned fully into this with Eddie just like #wanting to ruin Peter's life and following him around and trying to reveal hes spiderman and shit #Also thats whats scary about the whole Peter Doesnt Have Spidey Sense Against Them thing #its because they will not fucking leave him alone and are shown to literally like be hiding in the shadows #watching him without him realizing it sometimes #anyway. I miss Venom so sad Venom hasnt had a comic in a billion years
