"What do you do when you have writers block?" He asked a bit openly "I mean....I don't want to assume you do but I'm just having a hard time with this novel and I just...I'm close to just scrapping the novel all together..."

Hemlock sighed a bit in relief nodding at Rudyard, taking in all that he had to say. "A month or so, I think I'm just worried I'll be reiterating the same story. I think the pressure of it being movie worthy in getting to me too. Maybe I need to go off the grid or something....

"Oh I do. I get it all the time actually. I don't think you're a proper writer until you do." Rudyard admitted to the younger author. "How long have you had it for?" he asked curiously, wondering if it had been a new case of writer's block or had been going on for some time.

"You know that's actually a great idea I didn't even think about that! I have been eyeing the bed and breakfast for a while now" He wanted to stay there to get inspiration for another story he was working on anyway.

"Even if you can't get away completely it might help to book a room at a hotel or at the bed and breakfast. Have one of those staycations as they're called. Sometimes even just a few days can help"

"I have been hammering through it since I was in high school. Never really took a break. I think it might be long over due." He sighed a little and sat back. He did always struggle to take time for himself and to do nice things for himself. "I'll see if that might help me. I don't think I've ever properly left DFW unless it was work related." he'd have to talk to the publishing house to make sure they were alright with it. He had a deadline after all and a contract he had to keep up with.

"A nice stay somewhere to clear your head and focus or just reset isn't a terrible idea. I once spent three months in a little village in the south of France when I was around your age. Didn't write a single word for the entire first month and a half, but I needed that time. You're right though, the pressure of it being worthy enough to be made into a movie probably isn't helping things any."
