Continuing my review and summarization of Project 2025, Chapter 9 covers the US Agency for International Development which leads the US’s international development and disaster assistance programs.
1) “USAID’s multibillion-dollar humanitarian programs that were once 80 percent in response to natural disasters are now 80 percent in response to violent, man-made crises and have become a permanent and immiserating feature of the global landscape.”
2) During the Trump administration, awards were increased to faith-based organizations and those with pro-life, family-friendly policies, promoting “international religious freedom as a pillar of the agency’s work and built up an unprecedented genocide-response infrastructure.” The GOP plans to refuse admission to the US to those in foreign countries who actually need safety while deporting immigrants and to keep “ foreign Christian-hating foreigners out of America,” so why would they contribute funds to nonChristian foreign countries.
3) Reverse tends to use USAGM to “pursue overseas a divisive political and cultural agenda that promotes abortion, climate extremism, gender radicalism, and interventions against perceived systemic racism
4) Use US foreign aid to essentially “reward” nations friendly to the US
5) Reverse the USAID’s “radical” climate policy
6) Dismantle the USAID DEI initiative by issuing “a directive to cease promotion of the DEI agenda, including the bullying LGBTQ+ agenda”
7) Reverse the USAID advocacy of reproductive health and reproductive rights and align with an unapologeticicaly pro-life agenda from conception to natural death. “It should remove all references, examples, definitions, photos, and language on USAID websites, in agency publications and policies, and in all agency contracts and grants that include the following terms: ‘gender,’ ‘gender equality,’ ‘gender equity,’ ‘gender diverse individuals,’ ‘gender aware,’ ‘gender sensitive,’ etc. It should also remove references to ‘abortion,’ ‘reproductive health,’ and ‘sexual and reproductive rights’and con- troversial sexual education materials.”
8) Ensure that the UN and WHO will not promote abortion
9) Transition from UN and global NGO contractors to faith-based entities

Meet The #GirlBoss In Charge Of The U.S.’ $22 Billion Budget To Fight Global Poverty
They called her Mr. Smith.
When the newly installed USAID chief Gayle Smith was at a conference in Africa recently, the local leaders didn't recognize the gender of her name. So they gave her a "Mr. Smith" tag — which she now has on top of a bookshelf in her corner office at the Ronald Reagan building in Washington, D.C.
The nameplate on her desk makes things clear. It says: "GIRL BOSS."
Being a boss anointed in the final months of a president's term is not an easy job. Three months ago, Smith took the top spot of the federal agency in charge of U.S. humanitarian projects like fighting Ebola, feeding refugees and distributing more than $22 billion this year in aid.
And Smith, a tall 60-year-old woman with a deep tan and a shock of white hair, isn't going to let time or politics stand in her way. She's confident that she can "lock in" what she describes as "things that really work."
