Process Book #6
We learned about the sacrificial concept of brainstorming and solution selection process. The idea behind this decision making tool is to generate a lot of ideas and share very rough prototypes to an audience for their feedback.
As we began to organize our thoughts, we realized that we were developing a platform for 3 different types of users:
Concierge Travel
Local Immersion
Self Serve Travel
Each of these buckets have pros/cons which we individually listed and gave an example from the city of Los Angeles (to cement the idea with some familiarity). We realize that future users of this platform will likely not fit a single bucket so the intent of these groupings was to get feedback from our peers on the following questions:
What ratio of each bucket would users combine (eg. Concierge + Local)?
Are each of these buckets appealing for a platform and are considered a big enough differentiator?
What service would they use and what’s their current process?
What are their expectations for the user experience when navigating between the different buckets?
We’re looking forward to our classmates and Professor Sue’s feedback.
