One of my favorite ancient Egyptian women is King Hatshepsut. (Not Nefertiti swear words to Nefertiti, overrated BOOO!!!)

The Pharaoh Hatshepsut is Bad Behind.  She Was the Daughter of Thutmose I, Sister-Wife of Thutmose II and KING in her own right.  Sure she usurped the throne from Thutmose III but She made it worth it. She rebuilt many of the abandoned Temples and Monuments that had fallen apart under the rule of the Hyskoks, She went into the battlefield, expanded Egyptian territory in the Levant and reconnected to the almost fabled land of Punt (modern day Somalia and surrounding regions), which had been lost to the Egyptians since the 12th Dynasty.

Anyways, I love her, so this necklace was inspired by her.

There are 33 8mm Lapis Lazuli Stones, which the Egyptians believed was the hair of the gods (it was also said that Gold was the skin of the gods).

18 8mm glossy Carnelian stones, and 36 8mm frosted Carnelian stones. And what is more Egyptian than Lapis Lazuli and Carnelian?  Nothing. Nothing I say!

There are 27 bars of 4mm blue cats eye beads, 4 light green 8mm Aventurine beads, 2 8mm green Malachite, 1 8mm Turquoise, 12 1cm Magnesite, 11 rough green and blue Agates, 21 Vesuvianite ranging between 0.5 to 1cm long, There are 2 8mm blue Agate, 12 dark green Aventurine rectangular stones ranging 0.5 to 1 cm, 4  0.5cm dark green  Aventurine cubes,  3 0.6-1.2cm dark Aventurine, 2 1 cm dark green Aventurine triangles, 3 1cm green Fluorite, and a mix of blue and green Turquoise chips.  

There is a counterbalance with an image of the goddess Ma'at on it. From the clasp it is 29 inches around, it hangs 14.5 inches and the counterbalance adds 4 inches behind the neck.

This necklace took about 4 hours to make.

The green of high summer: verdant, luxurious vesuvianites that swing on the breeze. These Double Arc earrings frame warm, rich green vesuvianite sprouting delicate tendrils of peridot, blooming with pink sapphires.

Vesuvianite, also known as idocrase, is a calcium aluminosilicate mineral often found in skarn or limestone deposits adjacent to lava fields, and was named in 1795 for where it was first found: on Mount Vesuvius! Vesuvianite has been mostly prized as a decorative material and cut gemstone. It is most commonly found in deep bottle green shades, but can appear in muted tones of pink, blue, yellow and brown, so it was frequently mistaken for tourmaline. Vesuvianite's vibrant colouring and unique volcanic formation lead to it being historically adopted as a talisman thought to enhance creativity and productivity while dissolving feelings of fear and restraint.

These sterling silver fringe style earrings feature rich green oval vesuvianite cabochons set in handmade stepped bezels. The vesuvianite are a luminous bottle green sprinkled with tiny coral-red and paler green inclusions across their surface. They are framed in a plain-edge fine silver stepped bezels held by sterling silver arcs, and each finished with a delicate fringe of 3 sparkling stacks of glittering facetted peridot and pink sapphire beads. Each bead is hand-wired on a handmade sterling silver headpin, and the earrings hang from handmade, rounded standard 20g sterling silver earwires for comfortable wear. A pair of clear silicone stoppers is included to keep them securely on your ears. These are a longer length for a dangle earring, measuring just over 2" (5 cm) long by approximately .75" (22 mm) wide. Thanks to the stepped bezel setting, the back of the vesuvianites are open so that their colour can be illuminated and appreciated from both sides, and the sterling silver construction throughout has been polished to a high shine.
