Polly Wright costume references (with color!)
A look at the colors and details from Polly's costumes in her first episode, as described by Anneke Wills herself in the Doctor Who Magazine costume design special. The woman loves her fashion!
Polly's first outfit in The War Machines is a Marimekko hand-printed cotton dress in dusky purple (dark) and beige pink (light) stripes, with Deliss shoes.
Her second War Machines outfit is also Marimekko, also hand-printed cotton. It is dusky blue with darker blue "and a little bit of olive green coming through," with silver buttons.
Her final outfit of the episode is a thick, cotton, striped mariner shirt with a jacket and slightly cropped trousers in dark denim. The hat is blue, woven, and tweedy.
