For some reason, I decided that it would be extremely funny for Belos to lose his remaining external ear by having it just... fall off. Or he’s scratching around it because it’s all dried out and itchy and he accidentally flings it.

On to a table. In front of “everyone”.

He and Hunter just owlishly blink at it for a beat while they figure out “Oh, there’s no Titan’s blood; no one’s in danger”.

Then everyone else around them just start screaming and freaking out while the father and son just shrug it off and try to move on but everyone else is panicking and come on guys it’s fine and No Cutburn I do NOT need to go to the Healing wing!

It was rare the Golden Guard lost his temper and the traits he had inherited and learned from the Emperor came out. But that was exactly what had just happened in the room the teen stormed out of. He didn’t care if the adults he left behind couldn’t figure out how to get rid of the Titan Flesh amalgamations that sprung up around his seat after he had to retrieve his staff and slam it on the floor to get their attention. It was their fault anyway.

Hunter tried to just breathe but he could feel how his throat was closing up and tears coming into his eyes due to the still burning anger and years of frustration and the realization he was alone and no one took him seriously-

He perked up straighter and swallowed all that back when he heard someone hurrying to catch up behind him.

“What is it?” He didn’t bother turning around.

...I think I wrote about this before somewhere, but eh, I’ve been thinking about it again and am too lazy to go looking.

Just... While my Belos isn’t as bad as canon!Belos, he still isn’t ‘the good guy’. He’s done A LOT of bad shit for his goals that runs parallel to what canon!Belos has done. The difference is more that my Belos is more apathetic than hateful in his motivation. He’s just too worn down and emotionally stunted to care much about the bad shit he’s doing if it’s meeting the ends. And he knows he’s the bad guy, and in a lot of his past lifetimes he would hate himself. But he just... Can’t care about what he’s doing.

Hunter kinda falls into a grey area because yes, he is an empathetic person. But his main goals have always been protecting and helping his Dad. In combination with being a child still (technically) as well as the amount of work he has, he just doesn’t think too much about the harm the system and himself are doing. He’s more complicated, but he will admit the current system and society is doing harm and he recognizes he is ‘the bad guy’ as well.

I don’t know. Just thinking about it again.

ooc: Listen. The fact that canon!Hunter loves wolves so much is so important to the Mun. Because she was the weird wolf girl growing up and still loves them SO MUCH.

...So that part of canon can be added to this blog. My Hunter also loves wolves and one of his silly dreams is if he ever gets the chance to safely visit the Human Realm and not be set on fire is to go see them in Yellowstone.

“.... I fucking hate this family.” Hunter mumbles, standing in the middle of the destruction he had caused in the section of the Castle that belonged to his Uncle Belos. Any and all depictions of his Uncle and Alexander in tapestries, stained glass, or other mediums have been violently destroyed. Either by magical means, physically ripped, torn, and punched through, or by the limbs and tentacles of Titan’s flesh still grabbing and clawing and gnashing teeth that remained surrounding him as well.

If ‘Uncle’ Belos so much as touched Uncle Howell, there was going to be more than Hell to pay.

Both Belos and Hunter went sprinting after Howell and Philip once they had been brought up to speed on what had happened. The younger of the two came barrelling around a corner, concern and fear that Alexander had hurt either of them all over his face.

“Are you two okay?!” Hunter hurriedly asked, skidding to a stop in front of them and quickly looking over them both for damage.

Belos hung back a bit, giving his brothers their space. And trying to not immediately start praising Howell for being the first one to shove that asshole off the mortal coil like Alexander, unfortunately, still deserved. In his mind anyway.

And Hunter’s gonna just... Bury his face into his hands and let out a muffled ‘scream’ (he’s keeping his volume down so he doesn’t bother his sister anymore than he might have already but the emotion is very much there) for a good few seconds.

“...I’m so tired...” Hunter mumbled, still in his hands. “....I want the things to stop now,  please and thank you...”

Hunter’s just nervously glaring down at the dog-bird-rat named King. “....I’m warning you right now. If either Dad or I start hearing your voice in our heads or feel you trying to break down our mental defenses, I’m killing you and doing it in a way you STAY dead!”

Hunter was shaking pretty badly by this point. He had his hands clamped over his mouth to try and keep from hyperventilating by forcing himself to breathe through his nose, and was crying. He looked down at the spot next to Willow, before nodding. He carefully sat down, making sure to give her plenty of space, moving his hands from his mouth to wrap around his legs. He rested his forehead against his knees.
