The Awkward Backyard Club (And Other Hiawatha Deck Challenges)

Confession: My backyard is shaped like a slice of pie. And not in a cute way - more like "how do you even put furniture here?" way.

After six failed graph paper sketches, I started wondering if I was the only one with backyard geometry issues. Then I saw Weiss's service area map showing all their weird-shaped-yard projects around Hiawatha.

Lightbulb moments:

Multi-level decks can follow slope lines

Angled designs actually work with odd lots

That awkward space by the AC unit? Perfect for hidden storage

Current favorite idea: A hexagonal deck that makes my pie-shaped yard look intentional. Maybe with planters along the curved edge?

Next step: Measuring... again. But now with hope.
