Cab we get the story behind the alexia glasses that jenni and misa wore like who made it etc
ah, yes. so there are slightly different stories as to the origin of the glasses, but it looks like misa got a pair from some fans at the world cup during the celebrations in the stadium. a fan had already written "alexia" on them and these goofballs being the way they are "borrowed" the glasses from the fan and celebrated with them in the locker room, as we saw on the ig lives. it's just another way that misa and jenni teased alexia during the world cup 😂 (like when jenni saw an australian ibis during practice and named it alexia!)
Fifa can prohibit the pride armband all they want. Now that Katie McCabe has apparently dyed her hair green, we're halfway done with our own pride-flag.
The Women's World Cup is happening right now and the Brazilian team’s new mascot (Canarinha Guerreira) made people lose their mind a bit x x
Translation
Rosinha: So sorry to bother! It’s just that I’m your fan!
CG: Wow, thank you!

Zé: Ró, stand still! You can hit on her later!

Brazilian civil servants granted time off to watch women's football World Cup
Brazil's government will allow federal public servants to take time off work to watch the women's national football team play the upcoming World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Agencia Brasil reported. The tournament takes place between July 20 and August 20. The measure is already customary for the men's squad games.
On match days when play starts at 7:30 am, the workday will start at 11 am. On match days starting at 8 am, the workday will start at noon. The document also provides for the compensation of the hours not worked by December 29, the Ministry of Management and Innovation announced.
The resolution, which comes after a request from Sports Minister Ana Moser to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, is to be published next Tuesday in the Official Gazette.
Brazil play Panama at Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide on July 24, at 8 am (Brasília time), France on July 29, at 7 am at the Sydney Football Stadium, and Jamaica on August 2 at 7 am at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
The US only managed to win their first game of the tournament and it was against Vietnam. Meanwhile let me remind you what Sweden did:
So don't you DARE say that Sweden didn't deserve to beat the US. it would've been surprising if they hadn't.
And also we should stop for a second to ask ourselves why so many people internationally would literally prefer ANY team to win other than the US. I've followed the USWNT as my favourites since 2014, but I'm sick of their attitude, taking things for granted, behaving like they're saving women's football and only they should win, with the whole "we have the best and 2nd best teams in the world" crap. Other teams have been investing so much and truly deserve to win, I mean look at Spain having a bunch of players expelled from their team for trying to get equal pay, if they won it'd be fantastic for the future of women's sports in Spain.
Truth is the best for women's football is to have as many teams as possible grow, be fantastic, and eventually win world cups. And yes you can tell me that men are more sore losers, and cockier and more toxic... but I don't want women's sports to be like men. I want us to be BETTER.
