Why did Jacob invent the camera?
That’s a great question! Before I answer this, I’d like to thank this anon for asking about my OCs, you are awesome sauce (╹◡╹) ♡
Now, let’s start! :D
Jacob invented the camera because he saw how long it took and how tiring it was to paint portraits and landscapes to capture moments in history, whether it be for a grand event or to just get a picture of a loved one. So, he decided to try and find a way to help fix that as the incredible young inventor he was, he put his great mind to the test! He studied many other inventors' findings on how to make this idea possible and yadah yadah yadah boom! he created the first-ever camera! Also, he created it because he wanted to make his parents proud and impress his peers, and he did just that! Good on you, Jacob.
Hope that answers your question, thanks again for the ask :)

1 Chronicles 4: 7-12. "The Smoking Pen on the Burning Page."
Tumblr media
7 The sons of Helah: "To Pierce."
Zereth, Zohar, Ethnan, 8 and Koz, who was the father of Anub and Hazzobebah and of the clans of Aharhel son of Harum.
Zereth=the highest, the ripest, the sharpest
Zohar=yellow, as in yellow gold not green gold or another color of gold, AKA pure gold.
Ethnan=a prostitute's hire
=When Judah (yadah-ho= glory or honor) hired Timnah "self-control" to prostitute for him, which was all right because she was a Jew and not an idol.
Koz= the thorn
=G‑d does not reveal Himself to the arrogant, the self-styled important.
With the Book of Exodus we encounter the people of Israel — not individuals like the Patriarchs, unique if not lonely in their faith, but an entire community, a nation. Throughout the rest of the Pentateuch, the dominant figure is Moses, who in today's Torah portion is charged with taking his people from slavery to G‑d's service.
G‑d's first revelation to Moses was at the burning bush. "An angel of G‑d appeared to him in a flame of fire from a thorn-bush; the thorn-bush was burning with fire but was not consumed." The details of this revelation are an intriguing and inexhaustible source of interpretations. There is obviously a symbolic besides a literal significance to the account.
The thorn-bush is a lowly, inconspicuous plant, and it was chosen rather than the impressive cedar for the revelation. In terms of the individual, G‑d does not reveal Himself to the arrogant, the self-styled important. And this arrogance is not necessarily the extreme and repulsive kind. It can seem quite innocent and still be fatal to the spirit. It is complacency, a serene feeling of contentedness with what one is, the assurance that one has done his duty by G‑d and can with equanimity await an appropriate and generous reward from a grateful Creator.
Anub=a ripe fruit
Hazzobebah=a vision of a promise
Aharhel=under the breast
Harum=designated
9 Jabez [grieves, will cause pain] was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez,[c] saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
11 Kelub, Shuhah’s brother, was the father of Mehir, who was the father of Eshton. 12 Eshton was the father of Beth Rapha, Paseah and Tehinnah the father of Ir Nahash.[d] These were the men of Rekah.
Kelub=basket, "the soul's receptacle, carries the fruit"''
Shuhah=a doer who is humbled
Mehir=quick or skilled
Eshton=feminine, submissive
Beth Rapha=House of Healing
Paseah=to be spared by God
Tehinnah=Grace, encampment
Ir Nahash=City of Bronze Serpents
Rekah= probably from "Yarek Ah" or "excellent genital candidate".
In Hebrew, masculinity describes the tendency toward individuality and thus to competition, whereas femininity describes the tendency toward collectivity and thus to cooperation. That means that all human individuals in their natural state are masculine, but also that any human collective is feminine. One's physical constitution strongly influences one's mental constitution (particularly the emotional part), but does not perfectly determine it (particularly the logical part). Especially in a society such as ours, where people's identities are determined by their reasonable qualities rather than their physical and emotional qualities, not all men are masculine and not all women feminine.
Our own private mental gender depends rather on which side of human existence we draw our identity from: from our desire to be individual (male) and thus to compete until ultimately even a shared language has evaporated and we're back in the caves, or from our desire to be a collective (female) and thus to cooperate until ultimately we can read each other's minds. When our world was primitive, there was very little femininity, and all feminity was a slave to masculinity. In the world to come, humanity will be feminine, but no one will be slave, since all cooperation must be voluntary and thus be based on individual freedom
The Gematria of Helah is 42, meaning the world does not die and follows the Torah till it overcomes its woes:
Since nothing in the Torah is superfluous, it is obvious that G‑d chose to recount the 42 encampments for a reason. To understand this, let us first clarify the spiritual distinction between the Land of Israel and the rest of the world, as well as the teaching that "[In the Messianic Era] the Land of Israel is destined to spread over the entire world" (see Yalkut Shimoni on Isaiah, allusion 503).In the Mashiach's time, the world...will attain the spiritual standing that Israel enjoys today….
The meaning of this statement is that in the Mashiach's time, the world in general will attain the spiritual standing that Israel enjoys today; by the same token, Israel itself will then rise to the superior level of the Holy City, Jerusalem, which will in turn be elevated to an even higher spiritual level. The Messianic age will, in fact, see an elevation of the entire universe, including all the spiritual realms.
The other term that stands out in this section is Jabez, for which the Gematria is 1108, "The Smoking Pen on the Burning Page"= the power of the Gematria to communicate prophetic messages between God, the angels and us, where we are seeing a clear connection between the burning thorn "humility", which pierces the veil between the ego and the messages from heaven in the Torah and one's ability to reason.
If we pull it all together with the Tantra, what we get is this:
"The highest glory, the brightest splendor is found in the effort to control one's pride which is not tolerated in the presence of God, who hides under the breast as the burning bush, within the soul's receptacle.
To be skilled, humble and show reasonable qualities is to to be spared by God just as those who were encamped in the City of the Bronze Serpents."
I think the God of Israel is giving us everything He's got to try to help us out of the very difficult spot we've enmired ourselves in, and it is because we refuse to apprehend the obvious. For reasons which defy the evidence, we are stuck on issues pertaining to gender expression and we are spending more time on this than securing our long-term happiness and survival.
Those come first; if we have to sacrifice superstition out of humility to the consequences of actions in order to do so, then, God says, that is what we do.

Clear Sky, 14°C
Brooklyn NSW 2083, Australia
6th August 17 It happened again! My dinghy must be pissing itself with laughter. I thought I would take a quick trip ashore to use the loo, so I untied the painter, pulled her in and stepped straight in off the rear deck. For some time now I have been trying to impress on people the correct way to get into or out of the small boats, but do you think that advice was good enough for me! No way. So I'm in the water before I realize, fully clothed including shoes and socks (no lifejacket), glasses still on fortunately, mobile phone in pocket, and the tide is running a good 2 knots. Dinghy is completely swamped, and I'm trying to tow it back to the stern of Sea Whisper. Clearly this wasn't going to happen, so I quickly changed tactic, continuing to swim, only slowly releasing the painter through my hand as I went. Pretty soon I had swum to the end of the rope, but still hadnt got back to the boat. It was pretty obvious by now that I was going to have to try really hard just to get myself back to the boat. Swimming in clothes isn't something I've done much of, and it definitely occurred to me that I would be alot better off without my shoes, but a couple of mouthfuls of water soon focused my mind, and with some extra effort I made it. Now I had to mount a salvage operation using the RIB, but first I had to uncover it, inflate it and launch it. All the while my dinghy is slowly working it's way through all the moorings and off into open water where I was sure someone would run it down at high speed. Some 2 hours later I manage to get out there and track her down. The floatation under the thwart was holding the bow up, but she was upside down with the motor weighing down the stern. Fortunately, my habit of tying everything in paid off, nothing in her was lost. What to do, she was not tow-able like that, I had to get her to assume a more boat like attitude so that I didn't rip the bow out of it. Using the fender I keep in it to compliment the floatation under the thwart by tying it to the transom I managed to get it to float right side up, but there was no way to bail it out at all, so I figured if I gave her a gentle pull alot of water would flow out the stern on its own, and indeed this worked. As more water flowed out it started to sit higher, so I pulled a bit harder and the bow came up a bit, and more water flowed out the back, etc etc. Until eventually she was floating with freeboard, more like a boat than a sea anchor. Needless to say I forgot all about my trip to the loo. I now had a whole raft of more important issues to deal with! Once I'd bailed all the water out I thought I would see if the motor started, and surprisingly it fired up without much effort, so there was no water in the engine. I didn't run it for long, which was just as well. When I got it home I couldn't start it again so I did the usual trick of taking the float bowl off the carby and sure enough there was water in it. So I put it back and voila, it started! The next trip out to the boat the motor was fine, although it did sound a little rattlier. Then it wouldn't start to get me back to shore. It was some weeks before I could get a look at it and sure enough, the fuel tank was a quater full of sea water. Beats me how I'd managed to get it to run at all, twice. So I did a full strip down and sure enough it was pretty icky in the inner workings. Lots of rust on the main bearings, yadah yadah. So I soaked the whole caboodle in CRC, ordered a new gasket, and did my best to clean off the crud with a toothbrush. Now she's working again, they are bullet proof those little motors. I know she's not happy with me, I can tell by that grumbly rattle she now exudes. But everytime I pull the cord, she fires up. I still have to drain water out of the carby on a regular basis, but I accept that as my punishment for being stupid.
