before you say anything,, I KNOW that no one cares about this show. I UNDERSTAND that the fandom is five people (hi guys :3) and a bunch of old as balls military diehards. I understand that. But y’all just don’t get it. Y’all just don’t see it the way that I do. Space Battleship Yamato, and especially Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is my favorite show ever and ever. so if you don’t care about me turning them into ponies, then unfollowed me right now because I’m gonna be making the whole cast and then I’m going to be making stupid spoof comics about them being ponies. and honestly, whenever I get back into drawing people, I definitely will be drawing them as people all the freaking time 

those of you that actually know what I’m talking about, will probably be asking something like, why is kodai’s cutiemark a little astronaut cat? The answer for that is obviously that my little siblings insisted upon it. to be honest, I don’t get it. but I love them so I did. Take it up with them

You gotta hand it to the show runners of the Space Battleship Yamato reboot series: they have done a good job of humanizing the Space Nazis. By this, I do not mean that they say that the Space Nazis are good guys.

Rather, what they begin in SBY 2199 and continue in Ark of the Stars, 2202, and 2205, is a process of examining the reasons that lead various Space Nazis to do what they do.

I forgot to post this, but the finished version of my modernized Isokaze class space destroyer, the Harukaze class.

One of the first ships to be produced by Earth after the war, the Harukaze class were modified versions of the Isokaze class destroyers. While most of the the armament remained the same, the VLS silos were moved to the bow and expanded, as well as a pair of twin anti air guns added. Perhaps the most striking change to the ships design was the movement of the bridge aft, behind the dorsal gun mounts, which allowed for both greater crew comfort and command space. The ship’s armour was also notably improved with external plating.

What are your thoughts on Yamato 2199/2202 and the live action movie?

I have a lot of thoughts about 2199- but I will be the first to admit it is not my thing (apologies if you really enjoyed it, just didnt click with me)

As for the live action film, I finally watched it recently and oh. My god. While it is not perfect, I really enjoyed it. I spent the whole time screaming "THE [thing]!! ITS THE [thing]!!!"

The anime remake had boob fanservice, and not in a good way. The live action movie had reference fanservice. and it was great.

Excuse my jubilance, but I got the first two disks to this soundtrack like… ten years ago, I just got the last part of the soundtrack today! At long last I have it!

These things are expensive, it cost me $80 a piece! Why, why is your music so expensive, Japan?!

Now all I need is the Domelaze, and my true collection is complete!
