I paid my enrollment deposited, figured out who my advisor is, and started looking into a class I might take. Grad school is feeling very real.

#on monday i have to call my advisor and set up an appointment so we can make my plan of study #i think its gonna take me like 2.5 years because i have to do classes plus thesis time #and i teach 7:30 to 2:30 monday thru friday every week from august to may so its not like i can take more than 1 or 2 classes at a time #i also want to take a class thats in person because i really want to be back in the classroom having conversations with real people #none of my friends are like english major losers so i cant really talk about that kind of stuff with them #so academia it is i guess

ive been thinking about my experiences at the 2 high schools ive gone to and it really was sooo different forming friendships with my classmates. at my high school in arizona i had like casual friendships with multiple people in every class vs in arkansas, i formed maybe like 2, maybe 3 friendships and that was it. like even tho id lived in arizona longer, most of the people id become friends with were people i had never met before. i made more friends and got more phone numbers/instagrams on my first day in arizona than in the 5 months i went to school in arkansas

#i just dont get whyyyy #like even in the classes where i knew no one or wasnt seated by any friends i still chatted with the people near me #like in arizona there was only one class where i didnt really talk to anyone and that was because it was advanced english #in all of my other classes i had 1 to even like 7 friends almost all of whom were people i had just met that year #maybe it's because we were allowed to use our phones in class in arkansas #april.fuck

You ever mourn for friendships you could have had? Like we could have been good friends if only I wasnt so shy. If only I wasnt so scared to say the first greeting. If only I wasnt the person I was, and I was the kind of person I am now. I'm mourning for something that never existed in the first place, but that somehow makes it a bit more tragic in a way. We could have been good friends. And I really wish we were.

1 more day here and then I'm gonna be heading back up to my apartment for the first time in over 2 weeks. Haven't stayed there since this all began. I've grown a bit of a routine here, and I'll be right back to my apartment, but without the prior norms of it.

It's home though. It's home.

I'll have to do a ton of cleaning and rearranging tho to try to fit as much of my father's furniture within my apartment. My apartment is so small and the furnitures so many. I'm determined tho. I'm gonna fit as much as I can. Took measurements today even of all the things I wanna take, so I can puzzle it out as I go.

I. Also. Need to bring June to the vet. Bc she's got worms. Lol. Lmao even. I am trying to not think about it rn.

Y'all I think I'm mostly smart but sometimes I am SO DUMB

I never knew why Astrology and Astronomy sounded similar

I was like why is the word for looking at the sky the same as the word for the thing based on your birthday

It wasn't until Regulus Black -> Regulus the star, in the constellation Leo -> oh hey Leo's also an astrology name how bout that -> pan out on the StarTracker app -> oh hey there's Gemini, Taurus, Capricorn, Aquarius... -> hey wait a minute

That I even realized it at all

And now I get how the whole thing relates to the sky and all of a sudden Mercury affecting things makes sense because that's not a random disconnected idea like I thought it was, it's all in the sky

okay I LIED (sorta)

#just got out of there #over 1 hour lol #while i was going to the interview i was thinking what lie i was gonna say #it was to be a teacher in an english academy #so i crafted this lie that i had given sporadic english classes to kids a few years ago before the pandemic #i even practiced my english cause i thought at least part of the interview was gonna be in english (that didn't happen)#but when i got there the interviewer was 'so... you don't have any experience'#and i chickened out and said i helped my sister and cousin with some extra english classes in the past (i did not)#BUT then she started asking me these questions and situations and i panicked so much #and when she asked 'what was the last time you put on a costume?' i said i dressed up as mexican with my family for carnival???#cause sure let's be culturally insensitive while we're at it #i did dress up as a mexican with my family once in a summer carnival but it was with like. ponchos and hats my mexican family had sent us #and like 6-7 years ago #not last year #again no idea why i thought of them #i also said i did theatre in school (i did not)#she then gave me a writing assignment???? i had to write a 250 word essay about computers #so yeah. it was definitely something

god i fucking hate college

#it's not like the teachers are bad it's not like i hate my classmates! it's just so so exhausting and for what #they have four classes a day 2hr*1 and 1.5hr*3 #we have to reach at 7am i usually go by the public bus which is either at 6:27am or 7:02am so obviously i hate 6:27 #and the bus stop is a 6 minute walk and on the other side of the road! the bus station is also liks a 10min walk from college!#which SOUNDS less but im a pretty fast walker so 300m+700m in the morning itself not counting the four flights of stairs! at 6:40am!#AND these bitches have the audacity to keep four classes a day out of which 2 are revision or doubt solving classes #but of course it's been two weeks since school so they're still not giving much work! it's only coaching! and it fucking sucks!!!!#because we haven't studied as much yet that we'll be stuck with doubts so without a question we waste a period or two just doing #ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING #it's so so exhausting i hate it #and where i live they do call jr year and sr year of school as jr college but there's nothing collegey about it except the no dress code #so they don't let you leave the campus early😃😃 it's so fucking tiring i want to scream in their face what are they thinking #don't keep doubts sessions so early on in the year for the love of god #delete later

I have informed two out of three people in my house of my streams at this point I think I will just tell the person I was nervous about knowing so that I can stream when they're home and have a consistent schedule djfjdjdjsjfg
