Seriously Yoshimoto's route is cracking me up! I can't tell what's funnier MC's inner thoughts or how Yoshimoto just flits about and is so clueless about so many things but then is still kind and smart about other things.

I mean just walking right into Nobunaga’s castle just to admire it's beauty?! Going into Nobunaga’s room?! And somehow moving around undetected but when he's in town he draws the attention if everyone!

Also known as Miyoshi Samonji, and this sword is currently officially identified as “Yoshimoto Samonji”.
The name 宗三左文字 is actually supposed to be read “Sousan Samonji”, and “Souza Samonji” is a big mistake.
This is because its previous owner’s name is Miyoshi Sousan, not “Souza”. The error probably is cemented in the general public thanks to Touken Ranbu.
Some historians have questioned the "common story” of Nobunaga shaving down the sword and re-engraving it with his name. Despite the currently-existing artefact does bear the aforementioned engraving, there are people who doubt that it actually is the Sousan Samonji because it was supposed to have been lost in the fires of Honnouji.
The legend of how it managed to survive involved a very dramatic tale of the daughter of a local Kyoto shrine priest who happens to be at Honnouji grabbing it and running out, then taking refuge in her father’s shrine. This has the hallmarks of an Edo era dramatized storytelling. A more modest version simply says that supposedly it was found in the ruins of Honnouji.
Either way, the reason why this caused doubt among the historians is because the engraving says “Oda Owari no Kami Nobunaga”. This is not a valid title that Nobunaga was ever known to have had, and going by the correct title that Nobunaga was known to have at this time, the engraving should have said “Oda Kazusa no Suke Nobunaga”. Either this sword is a fake (and the real one really was destroyed at Honnouji), or the sword is real but the engraving was made in a later date by someone who didn’t know any better.
