haha oya literally translated means “mother-parent,” which has a very scientific connotation. You can refer to your mother as haha oya when you’re talking about her, but the same goes for mothers of animals, yeah... It’s like calling your mother the “child birther” haha

So, saving your mom under that name on your phone already shows to others who might catch a glimpse of your phone the cold, distant, and not-so-good relationship you have with your mom.

I don’t recall how or if Yuki addressed his mom later in the episode but if he didn’t, my guess is that he’d call her okaa-sama, the title that shows the most respect but also the biggest distance between mom and kid.

Both love to relentlessly tease or mess with their darling.  

Both mean for a blush way than in tears because if they did ever make their darling cry they would feel terrible.  (They will often gang up on their darling when possible)

Either one or both will always be by their darling and will seem to always show up at the right moment.

Akihiro is a lot calmer when it comes to new threats or situations that's not in their favor while with Yuki there is a 50/50 chance that he will react poorly.

“So how exactly did you hurt yourself again?”

You rolled your eyes, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to see, fully embarrassed at the entire situation and the fact that you had really no other choice but to call Yuki to come save you - like he always does.

“I already told you, Yukihiko.”

He glanced back over his shoulder at you, his eyebrow raising in a silent question before looking back ahead of him.

“Yeah,” he jumped a bit, carefully readjusting you as he carried you on his back. “But I’m just trying to understand what exactly happened. What were you doing up there anyway?”

That, you didn’t want to explain to him. How could he forget so easily?

Simply put, you were mad at him. You knew that he could be a bit of an asshole… or maybe a lot. But sometimes his sarcastic responses to everything would get to you. Yuki sometimes doesn’t know how to read a situation to see that maybe now isn’t the time to be a smart ass.

And that’s just how he is, and you knew that way before you started to date him.

But this morning he took it too far. Already stressed with exams and everything else you were juggling in your second year of university, he of course made some comment that you couldn’t even recall now that sent you over the edge.

“You are so annoying, Yuki. Do you know that?”

“Oh? That makes two of us then, huh?”

“I don’t get why I even put up with you sometimes. Would it kill you to be a little more compassionate?”

“Leave then. I won’t stop you.”

A challenge? One that you’d happily oblige to, as well.

You grabbed your jacket and made your way to the front door to don your tennis shoes.

“You know what, I will.”

Yukihiko would never tell you that the slam of the front door made him flinch. Nor would he ever admit that he instantly regretted saying that to you.

You needed time to cool off, and time he was able to give you.

But when you called him almost two hours later, out of breath and audibly in pain, he made his own dash out of the door, making his way to you as he kept you on the phone.

“Stay right where you are, [y/n]. Don’t move, okay? Make sure to keep your leg elevated, too.”

Seeing him dart over the curve of the trail you waited on was a relief.

Suddenly you were no longer pissed at him, and was so thankful to see your asshole of a boyfriend sprinting over to you.

He frantically looked over your ankle, asking if anything hurt as he carefully moved your foot around this way and that. Letting out a sigh, he ran his hand through his hair.

“It looks like you just sprained it thankfully,” he turned around, propping his hands right at the base of his back and looked back at you. “Get on, you’re not walking home like that.”

Not even bothering to object, you climbed onto his back, quickly settling in as he cautiously made his way back down the trail with you in tow.

“I just wanted to some time to myself, Yuki.” You quietly explained, pressing your face into the base of his shoulder and neck, hoping he wouldn’t hear the embarrassment that laced your voice.

He took a second to respond, actually thinking over his words for once.

“I know,” he paused. “I’m sorry, [y/n]. For telling you to leave like that.”

You wrapped your arms around his neck a little more, setting your chin on his shoulder.

“You really are an asshole, you know,” he chuckled, nodding. “But I’m sorry too, Yuki.”

“Good, because you’re not going anywhere.”

I’m two episodes into “Run with the Wind”. It’s pretty fun so far (I mean..it’s just Haikyuu but running). But as a lawyer-in-training, the one thing that’s incredibly frustrating about the series is that there’s a law school student in the main cast and he hasn’t pointed out that Haiji can be sued for tricking people into signing up for the track team. During episode 2, I even started coming up with all the potential torts that I could sue Haiji with. 

I mean, this is basic contracts law: 

1) They weren’t aware of the track team condition. 

2) Haiji threatened to kick people out if they didn’t join the track team (even then, he still pressured everyone to join the team in different ways, which is textbook undue influence). 

3) The dorm’s sign did reference the track team condition, but was written intentionally small so that people would miss it (procedural unconscionability -> unfair surprise).

4) A reasonable person wouldn’t expect to be forced to join a track team by signing a contract for housing (contract of adhesion).

Basically...Haiji’s an asshole and he needs to be sued.

Kiyose Haiji

It wouldn’t take him long to catch on to your pretty terrible sleeping schedule

He would notice how you seemed to message him at random times of the night, and notice how you were often awake in his arms when he slept over at your apartment or dorm and vice versa. 

His immediate reaction would be one of slight worry, your health was important to him but he wouldn’t bring up your sleeping habits with you right out as he was unsure if you were even aware of your bad habits. 

No, he’d slowly incorporate nighttime teas into your nightly routine, add more plush covers to his futons for the nights you slept over, encourage you to go on afternoon jogs with him and eat an earlier dinner (even going out of his way to cook for you just so you wouldn’t eat a late night meal), anything that he thought would help-he would try. 

He would also ask you seemingly harmless questions such as about your classes and workload, and this is when you catch on to his antics. 

Even if you reassured him that you were perfectly fine and just didn’t have the best sleep routine, he still would continue his efforts until he saw your habits improving.

He just wants you to get full night of rest, ok? He can’t have his favorite person passing out in the middle of the day. 

Kurahara Kakeru 

He would notice before the two of you even began to date, as the two of you were close friends at first. 

It would bother him of course, but he would try not to think too much about it until he noticed the dark circles under your eyes, and the slow deterioration of your mental health from your lack of sleep

Then he’d be a bit peeved

He’d start demanding that you accompanied him during his afternoon jogs under the disguise of wanting  to spend more time with you. (while he did want time with you, his ultimate goal was to tire you out.) 

He’d take up the habit of reading to you at night in efforts to relax your mind, even if you didn’t sleep over, he’d insist on calling you. 

If you protested against his actions, he’d probably snap and say something along the lines of “You can’t survive on three hours of sleep, ____.”

But he would assure you that he wasn’t angry, just worried for your health, and would back off just a bit, yet not completely until your sleep patterns improved. 

Takashi Sugiyama ( Shindō)

This poor overworked baby would have sleep patterns just as bad as yours

Seriously, since he had school, track, and managing and recruiting in the fanclub, he probably spent most of his nights working anyways.

So, I think he would appreciate your sleeping habits because you would always keep him company as he worked.

Yet, the two of you couldn’t keep up with the bad sleeping patterns as it would start to effect your health as well as his

So, he would talk to you about the bad habits the both of you had and suggest that you tried to improve your sleeping patterns to together. 

“_____, would you help me with these emails? I would like for us to go to bed a bit earlier tonight.” “______ lets try and go to sleep by 9:00 p.m.” “____, I picked up this relaxation tea for us to try.” 

It would be a slow change, but it would very much be a change and improvement the both of you would try to make. 

Yukihiko Iwakura (Yuki) 

Another one who also has bad sleeping habits, mostly because passing the bar exam on the first try definitely means he had more sleepless nights than anyone else. 

So he would for sure understand that you couldn’t just fix your sleeping habits overnight, nor would he expect you to. 

Of course he would comment on your habits, and make teasing remarks such as “You’re still up? I’m pretty sure even bats are asleep at this hour.”

Honestly he probably would start calling you something along the lines of Owl because of your nocturnal habits

Yet, he would try and help you improve your sleeping schedule. 

He would first try the things that improved his own sleeping habits, such as making a relaxing playlist for you to doze to, purchasing relaxation lotions to massage you with when you slept over, minimizing distractions as you tried to fall asleep. 

He wouldn’t worry much as he knew the pattern would ultimately fix itself once you began to develop more healthy habits, but he still would try and do the best he could to ease your struggle of falling asleep at night.

Sawamura Eijun 

This adorable little airhead wouldn’t notice your bad sleeping habits at all.

Like seriously, it would probably be months into your relationship before even notices that you stay up later than he does.

He would definitely try and stay up with you, yet this would only serve to mess up his own sleeping schedule. 

Then he’d turn to the internet, and attempt to do everything health forms suggested.
