Oh, I'm certain that she's important to Deltarune's story, and that there's probably a lot of nuance around her motivations. But she can still be a huge bitch, too! Multitasking!

Jarring, but honestly kind of welcome, at least for me. Thusfar a lot of the villains we've had so far in DR end up getting pretty softened even after initially appearing intimidating, (looking at you, Spade King) so having a villain that seems genuinely frightening and unkind makes everything feel more appropriate for the story's stakes. As to what her goal is...that, I'm honestly not sure on, I think we need a lot more information. There seems to be some kind of conspiracy going on between her, Kris, the Knight, and possibly Asgore as a more distant accomplice, but to what end that is I'd have to think on more.

It's certainly possible, but I kinda hope she does stay a villain the whole time. Her entrance left such a strong impression of genuine discomfort and dread, I really want that to carry through for as long as possible, even if her motives are understandable.

It might perhaps be a bit of a reach, especially since so many folks did see Susie behaving herself pretty well at church (as well as Catty or anyone else there did, anyway), but I do think that Carol might use whatever leverage she has against Susie. Susie openly defying her was awesome, and I can't imagine she wouldn't strike back at that.

That said, the vandalism angle has some issues...namely that with Undyne gone, there's not much police can do about crimes like vandalism. I don't really trust Napstablook to actually keep Susie locked up. Heck, considering the relationship that Toriel has been building up with Susie, I think that Toriel would go to bat for Susie, which would put her in an interesting situation against Carol. But yeah, either way, it seems like there'll need to be a point where Noelle really stands up to her mom. She was definitely getting there, trying to deflect Carol's anger away from Susie!
