Oh boy I just binged the song analysis thingy, and my brain is going on overdrive from trying to take it all in (in a good way).
I really loved how you had managed to find such deep and meaningful songs for your ship(s), and were able to draw connections between them without it seeming forced. Because they didn't feel forced. It felt just right.
You basically outlined (in my mind) the whole journey Josele makes with Morgen and Nacht, through songs that were able to not only describe the feelings of each of them, but also depict how they all are in the relationships. The feelings of love, regret, jealousy, hurt... it's all there, and all of those have nuances.
Oh, and may I add that I loved the foreheads touching thing? It really tapped into something in me and I had the "aww" reaction. Because it really such a lovely, intimate act. I know it's just one component in all of this; the journey through these songs, but that stands out to me.
I also feel like I haven't looked into Morgsele enough. As in, I have in a way always known it, but this just made me realize it all the better. Because Morgsele do have such a lovely relationship filled with love (the peeka-book whisper also made me go "aww"), even if the end is what it is because... canon (and angst)
Summary: loved it
(also: meese)

Laaaauuuuraaaa!
Thank you for taking the time to read my song analysis series! šŸ˜ And I'm glad my work has put your brain into overdrive. šŸ˜ Heh heh.
I loved finding the connections between the songs and my ships! Being able to put it all into words and share my thoughts was so... gratifying, I don't know what other word to use! And I'm relieved that the connections don't feel forced. There's always the fear of others not seeing what you see, you know?
AAAHHH! Yes yes yes! These songs have so many emotions in them. Some are straightforward in nature while others have layers, because the heart can be so strange! Even after writing up my analysis, I'm amazed by how these songs help illustrate Josele, Morgen, and Nacht's shared story.
I just... love it all so much!
The forehead thing! So simple. But so sweet. Thank you for appreciating that. šŸ„ŗ
Aha yes! Now you've truly seen the light about the Morgsele ship! Nacsele may be endgame but the relationship with Morgen is a big part of Josele's life. Admittedly, I myself need to make more content for this ship to highlight it but you know me and my angst. Still, I love Josele and Morgen's romance so gosh darn much! Silly and lovey-dovey. Quiet and romantic. Contemplative of the future (one that never came to be). There are facets to their love that I imagine and want to explore more in the future!
Thank you again for your time and commentary, Laura! It's so very appreciated! šŸ’–
And yes... Meese. šŸ˜Œ

ffhddfs so many
ok, will tackle these one by one, here goes
šŸ… What is something you recently felt proud of in regard to your writing (finished a fic, actually planned for once, etc).
I was very proud of the reception to my fic Gone.
It hit me hard, but it seemed to hit you all harder! It was reblogged with many crying emojis šŸ˜Œ
When you write a really hard hitting fic, at least in my experience, itā€™s still draining but it doesnā€™t hurt as much as reading one. For one thing, youā€™re reading it over and over which desensitizes you. For another, theyā€™re your own words so thereā€™s a level of separation rather than emotional intimacy, ironically.
So, that being said, I donā€™t know if an angst fic is effective until people tell me. Even if I find it stressful and draining (looking at you anxiety.exe), I donā€™t know if that reaction will be universal!
So getting such positive feedback (crying is good, right? lol) and praise on Gone really makes me happy! Hopefully it hasnā€™t allā€¦ Gone to my head *badumm tss*
šŸŒ Who is one character you havenā€™t yet written for that you would like to?
Hmmmā€¦ POV-wise I havenā€™t written most characters. Carolina could be interesting.
The idea of writing from the perspective of anyone but Grif, Simmons, Tucker, or Caboose is intimidating, but then again I thought that about Tucker until recently.
You just gotta dig a little deeper~
The first couple fics with a character often feel a little awkward and clunky but I know the only way to hit my stride with a character is practice.
Still mostly (side-eyes Imogen Simmons POV) focusing on those four in my current WIPs POV-wise, but Iā€™ll branch out.
šŸ° Name one of your fave comfort fics (doesnā€™t have to be your all time fave).
Iā€™ll do my fave of mine to reread and my fave of anotherā€™s.
Weirdly enough, I really liked rereading Dysfunctional. Before Gone, it was not only my longest (second-longest? idk) fic but imo my best written. I think it was also the first I crafted OCs for (Simmonsā€™ parents). I reread all of my fics because I enjoy it (why else?) but that one holds a special place in my heart. Sargeā€™s lines getting positive responses despite my previous lack of confidence in writing Sarge-y dialogue, the pain successfully reaching the readers, Imogenā€™s characterization as an emotionally manipulative bitch motivated by nostalgia and an ego accustomed to ā€œfixingā€ things by molding everything and everyone in her life to the way she likes them. And anger. She was extremely bitter in that fic. Everything about it, really.
As for fics by others, unfortunately I write more than I read. Iā€™ve gotten myself to read more lately because of Kaleidoscope, a fic on ao3 by Keetahspacecat, so hopefully Iā€™ll be finally getting around to my long list of fic authors soon.
For now, I havenā€™t really reread many fics, but I think about a few of them often. Most because they are pain, though. Hmmā€¦ Comfortā€¦
Well, looking at my ao3 bookmarks Iā€™ll have to recommend The Better Stuff by wordsy
ā€œSo so good definitely worth rereading some time. Wash being so vulnerable, Tucker being so caring and also delighting in making Wash laugh, Grif and Simmons lending a hand aaaaahhhhhh it's so good and sweet and warm and aaahhhā€
