I feel like a lot of originsmpblr should watch the origin series Niki did with Ori. I nickname it adventures of a blaze boy and fish girl or abbafg for short to tell the two series more easily apart but anyways it really gives a nice characterization to o!niki and also it fits extremely well as a backstory to O!niki! Wait does anyone remember that that time I think on one of Hbombs streams (it was the one we’re he first brought up the idea of a spelling bee) were Niki made a passing comment about calling a drowned her Brethren/brother or something and no one ever has acknowledged this? (Or I’ve never herd it being brought up by anyone ever) Also how we know for a fact something is up with Shy (Niki’s endermen room mate) because of abbafg we know they were the creature to find Niki and the first thing she can ever remember. So what are the chances abbafg Niki and dsmp Niki are extremely similar in background or literally the same creature. But then that opens up its own can of what the heck worms.

Niki: what if the nether never existed than you would be born her?

Ori: …

Ori: I- I would have loved to be born here. As a mater of fact... I feel like if anything I’d rather be not a blaze than be a blaze. I’d rather be what... look I’m going to tell you something I’ve never told anybody because I don’t know anybody else. Ok it’s going to be in full confidence.

Niki: ok I won’t tell anybody I promise (laughing because she literally only knows Ori and shy)

(Little bit more taking)

Ori: ok look uh some of the endermen in the neather they told me that their was once a race of people. Kinda like us but a little less odd. And they were just humans. I herd that they could do everything absolutely anything! They could hop form dimension to dimension they could be on land they could be under water. They developed these type of antidotes like the one we have now (talking about the water breathing potion) and they aloud themselves to do everything because they had nothing. Nothing was special about them. They couldn’t go into the fire they couldn’t breath underwater. They couldn’t fly they couldn’t bounce. They had nothing and so because of that. They were able to obtain everything.

Niki: that’s just weird... why would you want that.

Ori:chuckles*

Ori: no

Niki: why would you want that why would you want to put away your perks?

Ori: wellll

Niki: i-

Ori: well you see when you’re not a blazeman you can go underwater. And you won’t have to fear the fact that you’ll burn alive. And when your not a Merling you won’t have to fear the fact of not having and oxygen when you go on the top. And I also herd that they could teleport. Like teleport like the endermen!

Niki: teleport?

Ori: I mean not naturally like the endermen but they could do it themselves! Like they figured out a way to do it! They said that they could fly as well at some point. I mean not by themselves but with some sort of object they could use.

Niki: what..?

Ori: I mean they were everything! They could be everything because they were nothing. And I think that’s amazing! And I want that.

Niki: but-

Ori: if I was that if I wasn’t in the nether I wish I could be that. Nothing special. So then I could have the power and the choice to be who I want to be. Instead of being hated by everyone I ever knew.

Niki: I don’t hate you.

Ori: well I know you don’t hate me you’ve show me that.

Niki: yeah I don’t hate you

Ori: but you see I was born in a place where everybody hated me.

Niki: I don’t think you have to be anybody else Ori. You are great the way you are.you don’t have to be something else. We managed to get me to breath on land and to walk on land. So we can manage to get you to not die in the water. You don’t have to be someone else.

Ori: and that’s were I think your wrong Niki. You see I-. We tried the potion right. We tried everything that we could possibly know of. No sort of armor no sort of potion nothing like that will make it so I don’t burn when I cry. Nothing seems to help. And as much as it hurts me I guess I have to accept that. but But BUT! By somehow by some miracle say hey turn me into a human. Take away my blaze powers allow me to burn. Allow me to burn in fire so that I don’t have to burn in fire. Allow me to be stuck on land so that one day I may take to the skies. If I could trade who I am now to be a human I would do that in a blink of an eye. I- I would..

Niki: what are you thinking. Do you believe that?

Ori: I don’t know.

Niki: do you believe that theirs somehow out their someone else who is different? Who’s different from us. Who doesn’t have any weakness? Because as much as we have strength we also have weaknesses. I feel like if their is a person out their who doesn’t have any weaknesses. How is that possible and how is that still human. Not human but normal.

Ori: well no the thing is I think they still have weaknesses. But because they have all of them their not that extraordinary they learn to be something without them. I can’t do that I know that for a fact. I mean you can

Niki: but why do you want to be different? Why do you want to be not extraordinary? You have these cool powers you can swim in fire. I can’t even go near fire without being cooked.

Ori: because I just- I don’t know

Niki: Ori we will get you to the water. But you don’t have to change who you are.

Ori: I disagree... I have to disrespectfully disagree. I wish I wasn’t a blaze born. I wish I was just born human. Ok? Look.

(Jumps into the water)

Niki: no stop! Get out of their get out of their. Ori...

Ori: I can’t stop it. I can’t change this like this I have to change entirely.

Niki: no we will no.

Ori: no I have to be different I have to be born diffent. No- I don’t want to be a nether dweller . I don’t want to have to say I was born in this horrible place were everything hates you. We’re You done even want to go! We’re You don’t even want to stand or take part of!

Niki: because I don’t belong their!

Ori: and I don’t belong here!

Niki: you do belong here!

Ori: I don’t belong here!

Niki: you belong here as much as I belong here. We don’t-

You know what I’ve been thinking about again recently? The origins series Ori and Niki did. Specifically a few scenes from it. First one is Niki’s relationship with fire/flint and steel. In the I believe first or third stream of this series we learn that Niki likes fire. Specifically she likes to burn things and finds it fun (Ori from what I remember makes a comment about her being an arsonist fish as well as how it must be hard to set things on fire when you bound to the sea) which I find this interesting because besides her finding comfort in the fire she also I think burns down a tree. So that’s interesting. The second thing a part of ori’s speech on wanting to become human I found interesting. “Take away my blaze powers allow me to burn. Allow me to burn in fire so that I don’t have to burn in water. Allow me to be stuck on land so that one day I may take to the skies. If I could trade who I am now to be a human I would do that in a blink of an eye. I- I would..” what I’m specifically interested in this part is the wings because idk if everyone knows this but bearsmp Ori DID have wings even if he only showed them once. So if these two series were connected that besides the he got turned human esk some how also got his wings which fascinates me. The last two things I want to talk about are the flower as the first gift and Shy. First of all the flower. Theirs nothing really important about that flower besides it being the first gift Ori ever gave Niki until you see the two of them again and what is the first thing Ori does? Give her a flower saying it was just like the first gift he gave her. And now onto Shy. What the heck are you?! First we see you hanging out in Niki’s underground city with her then in origins we find out that A you can jump dimensions or B you’ve known Niki since her first memory but also seem to know more than you should. So what do you know you sus enderman. Also that’s not even everything I still haven’t talked about things like the book by a mysterious boo or the meteor thing that hurt Niki but made Ori go catatonic until he was away from it thanks to niki. So yeah I have a lot to talk about from this series.

Man I love bearsmp so much and the theory that Bearsmp Ori and origins blazeborn Ori are the same person is just way to good to not draw.

It’s one of those days we’re my mind has wandered back to Ori and Niki’s origins streams… especially that last one. Like their are so many questions just left open that I’m so so curious about! Like who is boo? Where did Ori and Niki come from? What’s up with shy? why did Ori go unresponsive when he touched the meteor thing in the crater? Why WAS their even a meteor (was it even a meteor) their in the first place? What was the cords shy gave niki? Who were the enderman in the nether that taught Ori all he knows and were did they go? These are just some of the questions and I’m so curious.

I miss that series so so much. If anyone just want to scream about this series to me you don’t understand how down I would be to do so.

Gosh I’m going back and watching Ori’s little speech about what if he was human in abbafg and it’s just so heart breaking seeing how much distress and just not believing in himself abbafg Ori was in. He never wanted to be what he was and from the first moment he first met Niki he always put his own well-being after Niki’s safety. From taking hits for her to dieing multiple times for her and in the end running from her because he could only see himself as a danger and ran to the only place he knew she couldn’t follow him. The one place he so much hated and had fought so hard to get out of. The nether.

The other thing I find interesting was how abbafg Ori and bearsmp Ori were such opposites from each other in their abilities. Like bearsmp Ori could do so much abbafg Ori couldn’t do. Like a good example of their differences was how they dealt with water. Abbafg Ori gets hurt by water and ends up becoming his main factor of frustration with everything while bearsmp Ori was basically a symbol of the soon to come storm (figurative and literally) he seemed to even enjoy the rain he brought with him as well. Another thing is their freedoms. Abbafg Ori was very free. Their wasn’t really ever anything keeping him in one place besides Niki which even then in the end we see him abandon to be alone. Now for bearsmp ori, while we never really found out what was happening with him it definitely seemed like he was never in true control of his situation from his disappearances to his warning.

All in all I just miss abbafg…

Fun Ori headcannon if you’d like it. If your watched adventure of a blaze boy and fish girl (it’s the origins series niki and Ori did) but you probably have a slight idea we’re I’m going with this then but Ori has never been human as much as he wants to say he was but he instead was born/ created as a blaze born and also Niki was originally Merling. And to quickly summarize abbafg Niki breaks Ori out of the nether and they build a home and shenanigans of teaching Ori about the overworld ensue in which they find a book by a mysterious sender which they learn how to help Niki breath on land and after Ori shows Niki we’re he comes from and she gets pretty upset and they both realize neither of them can’t really remember anything before meeting and then Ori starts to confess his wishes to be a human because he won’t have to be what he hates which after a bit of Niki trying to make him see he doesn’t have to change and they’ll find a way to help him with his no touch water thing he gets more mad himself and runs away to the only place Niki can’t follow him the nether summary over. So he ends up becoming one of mumza’s angels after he and Niki find a way to become “human” and he is killed by something (most likely the author of the water beating book boo) defending Niki and she has to just keeping going with their plan which she manages to complete and turn into something close to human (tho probably keeps a few more fish esk features like her ears look kinda finny and she has some pinker scales dotted on her arms) but she eventually ends up in the perfect smp after that and Ori wakes right in front of Mumza who decides to give him a chance after having seen him give up his well-being so many times for her and in the end his life to protect her, and offers him a place as one of her angels which he accepts which ends up getting rid of almost all his blazebornness with the exception of a few things like him still having small spots on him that glow with strong emotions like rings in his eyes and markings down his arms and legs and he also keeps all his scars specifically his tear and killing blow scars.
