soooo much things have happened, that this log will be such an oversimplification of this school year LMAO whew prepare for a major yap session

🎀 — I MET UP WITH MY ONLINE FRIEND GROUP !! THE FIRST FG I'VE MET UP WITH AAAAAA they were SO sweet & fun !! honestly, its been months so the details are fuzzy but GOD we played dungeons & dragons, did some bowling, and sung our hearts out at a karaoke. i LUV them !! i had saur much fun, my geeks! i also met lots of new people cause friends brought their friends lol. they were also suuuper nice and fun aaa!!!!! <3 <3 tho i skipped my training the day after (even tho i had a comp the day after?!!?!) bc i was so damn EXHAUSTED from the fun 🧸 — i found a mini journalism family with my CDP team and i luv em aaaaaaaa!!!! VERY UNEXPECTEDLY we won 3rd place !!! are u crazy !! even tho we performed so horribly !! pls we RAN to the stage we were so damn surprised 🍰 — also, our schoolpub entered the regional school paper competition and we misinterpreted the guidelines, so guess what happened: we crammed 15 articles into one weekend. yeah i won't elaborate anymore it was hell buuut my writers are very diligent and skilled so they saved me from lots of headaches and i'm so thankful 🍀 — we had a retreat in our school's villa 4 hours away !! again, details are fuzzy but ... i couldn't get to enjoy it much because i was damn sick. 40 degrees celsius. jesus. BUT I HAVE A FUNNY STORY LMAO!! as typical for a catholic school, people entering the opposite gender's dorms weren't allowed. but these 4 guys didn't care, showed up at our doorstep and literally went:

"*pulls out cards* uno? B)" "WTF ARE U GUYS DOING AT MY DOORSTEP WE'RE GONNA GET CAUGHT" "it'll be fiiiiiiiiiiine" "dude wtf just get in get in the inspectors are roaming the halls"

the entire time we were playing uno, i was so damn anxious lol. i had to lock the door. like i kept telling them to go hide under the bed, in the closet, whatever whatever when the inspector comes to visit. i'd tell them to hide in the bathroom but my dorm mate was using it and i was scared. I WAS SO ANXIOUS ... AND THEN ...

WE HEARD A KNOCK ...

"I TOLD YOU GUYS dude hide hide hide frustrated whispering"

and i opened the door SWEATING ...

it was my 3rd roommate !! we all breathed a sigh of relief lol and she was like "lol whats happening why r they all here"

anyways all six of us were playing uno ...... until we heard another knock AGAIN ..... and this time i was sweating bullets ... because if all my three of my dorm mates are now here ... and so are all of my friends ... then who else could be knocking but .....

now this time we were genuinely sweating bullets . my dormmate was still showering so i had them all hide in weird places again and i opened the door sweating and ..........

"hey man i heard J was here could we borrow him? we have a game"

"Oh . Yeah . Sure"

the inspectors never came. we all enjoyed uno afterwards :p

🌷͙֒ — also had my prom :) it wasn't really anything magical or amazing, but i still had such a fun night! i was wearing a hot pink dress under converse HEHEHEAHAH 🦢 — average of 95 in 3rd quarter ... yeah baby ... !!!!! 🐰 — you know !! i volunteered to do the broadcasting for the food bazaar news posting in our schoolpub. i finished writing the spiel, rehearsing, and everything else despite my tight schedule and stack of activities. then i asked our broadcasting editor if the broadcast is still gonna continue ... then she notified me that our EIC found another person outside of our org to do the broadcast ..... and they used my spiel ...... no credits ... i didnt even broadcast ....... ahahahahaha Pain

🫧 — FOURTH QUARTER WAS HELL UNLEASHED!! I CANT BELIEVE I SURVIVED THAT!! I WAS FR GONNA CRASH OUT ICB!!! okay, okay, just imagine this: you're the one in charge of 3 research paper projects, there's upcoming thesis defenses [which is going so wrong due to the incompetency of ur groupmates and there's only like 2 or 3 ppl that are actually helping], sleepless nights and overdosing on caffeine, in charge of the final PETA poster [in which there's that one uncooperative groupmate that delayed the projet SO DAMN MUCH and you're frantically handling the costuming, photoshoot, and makeup for the cast all at the same time THEN you're also the one editing it], you're handling news articles for the schoolpubs, you're the one in charge of your robotics project [a 5 group project in which 2 of them are just fooling around and barely helping out, and you practically handled all the hardest parts while keeping them updated] (but my discord friend carried most of all lol he did the circuit wiring and coding i love him), you're cramming your research papers in which one of them was assigned 3 days before the deadline THEN the draft of the other one is dued tomorrow, you're filming lots of scenes for a short film, you're juggling between acads, hobbies, personal life, and family matters, you get diagnosed with pneumonia in the middle of it all, but even then you throw away your health just to finish the research paper and defense material within the due date because who else would do it, but then some of your incompetent groupmates FUCK IT ALL UP and you explode and cry and all they do is mutter a half-assed apology they really dont give a shit, but oh don't forget there's also requirements for other subjects dued tomorrow and the day after and the day after that hahahaha, then some of your friends are giving you unnecessary BS and stress as well as your family ............................. do you understand me now. AND HAVE I TOLD YOU THAT I HAD TO SORT THROUGH 900 PHOTOS TO EDIT AND FRAME FOR OUR NEWS ARTICLES. oh and on top of that self image issues and impostor syndrome because of course im a teenager

🩷 — on the bright side, we made our research all PINK and GIRLY!!!!! i'll show in the photos lol. the best part was that we won best in research for it. truly an elle woods moment. on that note, i don't even know how we won best in research !! i was so convinced we were cooked !! the gods heard my prayers and struggles !! 🌸 — anyways, i repicked up some hobbies recently. i got into cooking again and somewhat into cosplaying !! 🌿 — speaking of cosplays, i attended this one cos-con alongside an old friend as hu tao. my friend was veeeeeeeery well-known in our local cosplay community and she was talking to people left and right and i was just standing there awkwardly XD YOU KNOW SHE WON AS A CHAMPION!!!!! I SAY VERY WELL-DESERVED!!! she's so bubbly, cute, sweet and genuine lol i have sm fun with her! 🍥 — dude i finished playing split fiction with my best friend and oh my god. it was an AMAZING experience!! 10/10!

🫧 — my friends took me out to a badminton court (haha they had to pick me up from my house which was the opposite side of town XD), and out of post-badminton exhaustion confidence i sang to our tricycle driver. very good btw. we ate ramen in a mall afterwards

🌴 — i attended swimming classes for the first and last time lol! though i kind of regret not attending swim classes in the past :')

HEYA HEYA HEYYYY !! >w< it's been almost a month! not much has happened though .... >:3

🍀 — AHHH i finally started training for Press Conference as an editorial writer! i love my team saurrr much and everybody else with us. they're so FUN and i haven't laughed as much like this for a long time !! i had the most fun with them AND we all match our freaks tbh HAHAH

🌷͙֒ — so, my mall 5 minutes away from me opened a bookstore with a dazzling selection of books AND my school opened a book fair as well -- needless to say i spent a loootta money on these babies!

💗 — to preface what my team is and what we do — we're tasked to make an entire newspaper within 4 hours. our information will be based off of a mini-press conference (imagine those k-dramas with journalists asking celebrities standing on a podium), and our questions will be of course tailored to contemporary issues. here's the breakdown of what's usually asked for in each page: - front page: 4 news articles - opinion page: 1 editorial article (talks about contemporary issues and their stances), 2 columns (same as editorial but shorter) accompanied with editorial cartoonings AKA exaggerated caricatures that showcase contemporary issues through symbolism - feature page: also talks about contemporary issues but through a literary lens. imagine wattpad. - sports page: 1 sports news, 1 sports feature and 1 sports editorial (such a demanding page!)

🎀 — SOOOO we typically have 7 members a team, with the layout artist usually leading the group to make their vision coherent. IMAGINE MAKING AN ENTIRE NEWSPAPER UNDER 4 HOURS! aghh it can be stressful

🧸 — so here's the funny thing: we usually have a cartoonist in our group, but since photojournalists are needed for NEWS and SPORTS, our school decided to rid of the cartoonist and put 2 photojournalists in our team instead. this kindaaaa stressed my team mates out because none of them knew how to do cartooning - i knew how to draw, but i've never practiced cartooning before, so i didn't have the courage to speak up and tell them i draw. it was only until the competition day that while i was writing my article i told them: "hey, i'm gonna whip up a quick sketch and tell me what you guys think of it" and after seeing the result they were like "you could DRAW THIS ENTIRE TIME??? AND YOU DIDNT TELL US?? WE'VE BEEN STRUGGLING HERE!" HAHAHAHAH I FEEL SO BAD but honestly my ego temporarily inflated so big from their compliments. they're so unfiltered and funny, and that's what makes me love them sm HAHA

🍰 — so ... now i'm training for DSPC as a dual-potentialite, an editorial writer and an editorial cartoonist. i basically own the entire editorial page HAHAHAH. two of these are such taxing activities though because editorial writing demands me to have a deep knowledge on political issues, the mental reasoning to take a sensible stance, it's the longest article out of all of them AND editorial cartooning requires me to have the creativity, skill and speed to whip up a witty 'cartoon'. but i like this system better because it allows me to visualize how i can synchronize my cartooning and articles, even if it burns me out to the max haha .......

🦢 — honestly, journalism has been my top focus this month. i practically started the school year training right off the bat so i haven't had the time to do anything else academically lol

🐰 — though since i am the leader of our research paper, it still requires my presence and instructions from time to time TT

🧁 — aghh i've got so much planned over the next few days i'll probably come out of it even more burnt out. tomorrow, i'll have my session for my favorite campaign, on sunday i'm meeting up with online friends for the first time, on monday i'll be hardcore training since tuesday will be my divisions competition .......

🌴 — YOU KNOWWW there was a widespread HELLA CONTROVERSIAL issue within our school. and since i live in a small town where everybody knows each other, it got so big hahaha. my CDP team alongside the online publishing team grouped up in one bahay kubo to talk about it -- and we even sought out what my seasoned debate senior (also a schoolpub managing editor) thinks of the issue. IT WAS CRAZYYY HAHAHAHA

🫧 — btw, post-competition i was falling asleep in the school bus and a guy beside me gave me his plushie to sleep on AHHHH touching

there's so much things that have happened over the past 2 months ... i simply can't begin to explain it all! but for now, i'll list down the major academic updates :] i can't believe i've accomplished so much already!

🎀 — i'm organizing a school event wherein we'd be recruiting staff writers through a newswriting workshop-seminar. it's my first time having the opportunity to organize a school event, so it's exciting but nervewracking!

🧸 — i joined the VALORANT E-Sports Tournament in our school alongside a few friends & their friends, and we were the only Junior High Schoolers! the rest of the contestants were senior highschoolers and college students ... BUT we managed to make it in the semifinals !! how cool is that !! and we got the cool poster of us too & all. to be fair, i was the weakest player, so i have no right to brag about this 'achievement' xd

🫧— qualified for DSPC, since i placed 3rd in editorial writing. this is one of my happiest achievements because i got placed in Collaborative Desktop Publishing, and so did all of my other CDP teammates from last year! we all managed to score the right place! except for the ones that have graduated already...

🩷— out of impulsivity, my friend asked me to join a school-level robotics competition, innovative open category, wherein we made a research proposal draft of a rescue-search drone built with a thermal camera, GPS coordinates with live feedback thru application. i didn't make it in, but 2 of my teammates did!

🪞— i entered 3 contests: oration: 1st place declamation: 1st place vocal solo: no place :(

🌷͙— i got appointed as Senior News Editor of the Editorial Board in our school publication!

🍧— we got our grad pics innn!

🌸— for intramurals, our club had a cinema booth, and we managed to rake in lots of funds for our upcoming community extension! our president did most of the work, and i find her to be very admirable despite being an eighth grader. she's a good kid.

🍥 — i set up the facebook page for our club, and i'm one of the main facilitators of the published posts. i'm in the process of making a pubmat, but the club members aren't cooperating so it's been heavily delayed!

💮— i had one week of training for a local competition, an association of all the private academies of our town. i had to choose between oration vs. declamation, but i'll always be a declamation girlie! i ended up placing 8th :( better luck next year! but i definitely met new people and grew closer to them, and that's what matters :)

🍰 — what's funnier is, since i'm also the senior news editor, i also have news articles to write and facilitate about the competition. so i'm literally juggling between both responsibilities during the contest day!

🌼.— lol in the opening of intramurals, there were so much events to cover that i ended up spending half of the day inside our org headquarters writing articles alongside our broadcasting editor. i also took a nap in the sofa DFKLSJDAAK

🌿— ALSO i was watching the intramural games and omg so many pogi i loved watching the games XCJKVHSJKDHFAJK

🎧— examination scores are high and nice!!

overall, i can't believe all of this happened just over 2 months. there are more details i haven't covered, but this will do. it has been an eventful year, 2024 :)

— with the opening of guidance week and a ton other activities, there's about 7 assignments/articles for the news category this week 😮‍💨 WEEE GOT THIS!

— application for editorial board came out... *shakes* i can only hope everything goes well. applied as head news editor, expectedly 😼

— applied for piano classes as an extracurricular, despite my overloaded schedule. it's the sylvia plath in meee!!!

— ....but i wonder if i can manage a full school sched, debate org, publication coverages, english club duties, foreign language classes, swimming classes, piano lessons, research project & practice for future comps all at the same time... *shakes* idk man!!! WE JUST GOTTA GO WITH THE FLOOOW xDDDDD

— EIC sent this week's publication's schedule... AND SLPC WINNERS IS ON FRIDAY 7:00 PM HNNGNGNGH i'm so nervous i REAAALLYY hope i placed what i expected to place as .

— that being said, i had my biweekly gothic horror canpaign last saturday, and a spontaneous D&D oneshot last night (stayed up late thats why i slept thru the school day today XDD). IT WAS SO FUN!!! one of the best stress relievers everrrrruh

— score of 55/50 in my computer examination (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) .ᐟ.ᐟ don't know how, but we made it past the limit HAHAHAHAH! that being said, here's also some of my other results:

— for this year, i'm going to be a research leader. let's see how well that'll balance out with my other extracurriculars and positions LMAO

— i competed in our eliminations for PressCon as an editorial writer... hoping for the best results ´･ᴗ･` first competition of the year, done!

— we had an english quiz and the latter part was a lecture i skipped xDD. it's somewhat okay, we got 17/20 i guess !

— 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM :: went to the cafe afterschool with my friends to wrap up a poster & paperclip structure project

— 7:00 - 8:00 PM :: went out to my favorite samgyeopsal with my parents! best stress reliever ever!

— 8:30 PM :: wrapped up assignments and put additional tasks for the news writers!

— 10:00 PM :: finally got to rest. my publication had a project where the project heads would interview the SHS SCB candidates, and i only realized now i should've facilitated and assisted the writers earlier this morning. so that's exactly what i'm going to do tomorrow. we going on duty! thing is, it's on another campus so around 7:00 AM - 11:30 AM, i'll attend some classes & finish a few activities to be passed, then travel to our school's other campus by lunchbreak, hopefully!

— had a laboratory activity in science, about volcanoes!

— had a surprise practice quiz. perfect scorers had +3 pts in recit. my ONE mistake was an answer i didnt make PLURAL. WHAT? IM FOREVER MAD !!! still got +2 pts at least :,)

— covered a Buwan ng Wika program for news and i was EXHAUUUSTED.

— i also covered 2 more news articles, regarding JHS MDA and GS MDA. fun!

— checked out a drifting gokart place. it was just us three there, we soloed the entire place it was AWESOME!

— haven't been able to dedicate time to myself lately BUT i managed to sneak in a Dungeons & Dragon oneshot last sat xDDD alongside new OC art too!

— stayed up all night 2night to finish an article,,, im a slow worker man — pray for me pls HAHAHAHAH THX

— had our first club meeting! ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ i was elected as English Club's Vice President. was 2 votes away as president, but oh well TT

— elected as Acting Head News Editor in our publication for the mean time before the official editorial board applications/interviewers get released woaoa

— studied (chika-ed, actually) with my dear friends at a nearby cafe

— was supposed to have our first F2F mock debate, but had scheduling conflicts with my debate org and club meeting TT

— perfect score (30/30) in computer exam,, second highest in english exam!

— was napping during break but suddenly got notified 4 a culminating event that needed news coverage ASAP so i legit got up, rushed to find a photojourn and was 15 mins late for class XDDD

— went to the mall with some of my other friends!

— tried a new resto in front of our school w/ my friends... 10/10 i luv their murals & vanilla shake

— nung saturday, around 9 pm, one of my seniors from debate had an analysis (?) session on a particular motion. learned alot Mwahaha

— tapos na exams and it's going to be a long weekend... it's time for VIDEOGAMES!
