If nothing else getting treated poorly makes for writing fuel
#I can tell when I read something that’s supposed to be emotionally impactful but someone privileged wrote it#like they just couldn’t embody the suffering required to pull it off#which isn’t to say it can’t be done but it seems like lately nobody wants to dig deep#at the very least you have to interview people#academic research is necessary but the humanity is what makes something emotionally tense#some people have first hand experience for things which is what really makes a story extra spicy angsty#but even then you really need to handle it sensitively#look at you Colleen Hoover & whatever you thought you were doing in It Ends With Us#sorry but that ain’t it#anyway off to contemplate the state of my life through the muse
