Yes, I'm obsessed with Trash of the count's family.
Yeah, I'm well aware that I shouldn't see everything as a tcf reference...
But... THEY ARE CALE HENITUSE AND WHITE STARE ! I CAN'T UNSEE IT !
Just give them red hair! They even have the same expressions😭
The villain who looks like the white star✨
Cale with long hair &WS with short hair fanart (◕ᴗ◕✿)
The MC who looks like Cale Henituse✨
(He also collects people who suffered before and helps them then refuses to get help and suffers alone. He also loses conscious/ faints once a week. ⊙﹏⊙)
whta's really interesting (read: fucking hilarious) about ludger's headaches is that they're the only moments where what he feels like and how others perceive him are the same
like he usually looks in control and cold and scary and slightly angry, but feels like a mess bc he's panicking and worrying about what other situation he's going to get in and what if he's found out etc. etc.
but when he has a headcahe? does he look angry? he is! does he look like he's going to make your brain implode with just his eyes? he feels like it! (such a mood tbh) it's so funny. the only time where people are right to be scared of him
"-and as you hold those broken wings on your rough hands,
you asked the angel 'am i worth being damned now?'
yet the angel, even now without its wings
denies you damnation as it embraces you."
its so funny to me that although ludger could have easily and efficiently wiped his enemies with the power of [the goddess who loves humans very much], instead, he chose to flex his power and completely obliterate them in the most petty way possible. he killed:
the lightning wizard of color with lightning
the fire wizard of color with fire
the entire holy army with holy power
the almost equivalent of the pope with the same god that he worships
you cant even call this massacre a poetic vengeance because he clearly didnt even see them as a worthy enemy but more of a swarm of annoying pests that need extermination.
ironically, ludger was created to become a vessal of a god, yet not only he rejected this divinity but also became the exact opposite of one — the manifestation of pettiness, a trait that is unmistakably very human.
personally i cannot digest the desperately knocking ur nemesis' door with "u are the only one i could trust right now" trope bc i tend to find them extremely unrealistic but this novel manages to do it in the most hilariously in-character way possible and i think the only reason it succeeds is that because the characters in question are both aro.
like, how else do u explain the "since i would rather die single, in facing the threat of my family forcing me into an arranged marriage, my next best action plan should be going to my archrival and asking them to commit fake marriage because my archrival is the only one i know competent enough to pull it off, and im 1000% certain that we wont fall for each other no matter what we do."
