Mon dernier projet de dessin de 2022, un Instagram Art Challenge consistant à faire 7 illustrations dans le style « conte populaire/folklorique pour enfants », un projet que je n’ai pas du tout terminé finalement.

7 mots étaient donné un peu d’avance et le défi était de publier 1 illustration par jour durant la « Folk Tale Week », du 14 au 20 novembre 2022. Les mots étaient: Fool, Tree, Star, Rebel, Costume, Potion et Victory. Ça m’avait fait penser à « La légende de Rose Latulipe », aussi appelé « La légende du Diable à la danse » ou « La légende du beau danseur ».

La difficulté pour moi était d’adopter un style « illustration folklorique »! Finalement, j’aimais bien mes premiers essais, mais des événements personnels m’ont empêchés de mener à bien ce projet.

Ukelitas had a blast opening up the Peace Fair on Saturday. The weather was perfect! You can always find the accordion player in the band because they're wearing the interesting hats to keep their hair under control while both hands are busy. We had a professional sound system with a sound guy for a change. Unfortunately, the sound guy wouldn't let me stand for most of the songs and sit for the complicated fast songs like O Bla Di. As written about in Billboard: "Alternative To Clips On Cable by Kim Freeman Billboard Magazine March 17, 1984 NEW YORK---Year-old BackBeat Productions hopes to break new ground in the video medium with it's first project, "The Jon Hammond Show." Currently airing on Manhattan Cable's Channel 3 and San Francisco's public access Channel 25, the program is a half hour of computer generated graphics synchronized with original jazz-fusion and rock music. Hammond's voice and his tapping boot are the only human intrusions during the show. "It's an alternative to the conceptual and concert footage videos. We're delivering an art form." says the show's host, BackBeat's co-founder Jon Hammond. The company also functions as a label, and Hammond says the broadcast will be a vehicle to expose artists on the BackBeat roster. Hammond say's he's close to securing slots on public access channels in New Orleans, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston and plans to recoup investements by syndicating the show to national networks if and when it gains an audience. His partner in the venture is former Crusaders guitarist Barry Finnerty, who wrote the music for the first program. He's been something of an inspiration since I first picked up an accordion and my dad was like, "Hey, let me show you another person who plays accordion", and proceeded to introduce me to the wonderful world of weird al. do any of y'all have recommendations for songs I could learn on the accordion ?

i have mainly only played square dance music (Bill Sullivan's, Golden Slippers, I'se The B'y, Virginia Reel, Tavern in the Town, along with a couple locally written tunes) and I'm looking to expand my repertoire dhdhdjsl, currently I have decided to work on learning La Vie En Rose!

I'm very much still a beginner (leaning more towards an intermediate beginner now lol) but I'm open to whatever you've got, but preferably something with a fairly simple tune! However I am more than willing to learn other more complex songs as well!
