Birdie Mae‘s first Christmas has officially commenced!
Jessica Simpson, her 9-month-old daughter and the rest of the family — Simpson’s husband Eric Johnson and their two older kids Ace Knute, 6, and Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 7½ — posed for a group snapshot Wednesday in honor of the yuletide holiday on Wednesday.
In the picture, the family of five poses in front of their huge, decked-out Christmas tree. Johnson, 40, holds little Birdie Mae, while Simpson, wearing a leopard-print dress and cropped black jacket, lovingly has her arms around Ace and Maxi.

Her family celebration this week comes a little more than a week after Simpson took in her two older kids’ school holiday concert — but not without a slight snafu!
The family was all decked out in their seasonal best for the event, wearing various shades of red and green, while Johnson was dressed in a hilarious sweater decorated with the likeness of a shirtless “buff” Santa on the front. (Daughter Birdie was not pictured.)
And despite their picture-perfect poses, Simpson’s experience with the concert did come with some hurdles. In a follow-up post, the Open Book author shared a hilarious snapshot that captured her trying to get out of her car with the seat belt still buckled.

Ace’s signature shoulder-length blond locks have been sheared to reveal a shorter, yet still adorably shaggy cut as the little guy wades in the water in front of a stunning mountainous landscape.
“First haircut ✔️ (Thanks @jessieholiday for making my stud look all grown up 😢) #ACEKNUTE,” the proud mama captioned the memory.
It’s been an emotional milestone-laden time for the mom of two. Last week, she shared a photo of 5-year-old daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, decked out in her first-day-of school best and striking a precious pose for the camera.

Congratulations are in order for Jessica Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson.
The singer and billion-dollar businesswoman announced Tuesday that she is expecting her third child. Simpson and Johnson are already parents to daughter Maxwell Drew, 6, and Ace Knute, 5.
“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” Simpson, 38, wrote in the caption of a photo showing her kids surrounded by pink balloons. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

Simpson told Ellen DeGeneres last year that she and Johnson weren’t planning to expand their brood.
“We got an IUD, nothing’s gonna get in that uterus,” the singer said after DeGeneres pointed out that she only appeared on the show when she was pregnant.
“I have two beautiful children and I’m not having a third,” Simpson said. “They’re too cute ― you really can’t top that.”
The singer also gushed about her kids in an interview with HuffPost in 2016.
“My kids have the biggest personalities ever, and I know every mom would probably say that about their children, but I guess I’m just one of those moms who likes to brag about how adorable their kids are,” she said.

Simpson also suggested at the time that her son could have a future in the music business.

Jessica Simpson shared some cheeky words of encouragement to Amy Schumer after the comedian revealed she lost 10 lbs. following the birth of her son Gene Attell.
On Monday, Schumer, who welcomed baby Gene with husband Chris Fischer in May, posted a bikini photo of herself captioning it “Ok Simpson!” — calling out the “Where You Are” singer, who recently made headlines for losing 100 pounds after giving birth to daughter Birdie Mae in March.
“Well I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker,” Schumer, 38, wrote alongside the post, which shows her posing in the black two piece, standing next to her sister Kim Caramele on the beach.
Schumer concluded the post writing the hashtags “#norush #givememymoneybackkim.”
Simpson, 39, quickly raved over Schumer’s weight loss commenting, “You’re hot.”
She then went on to note that “Size only matters when it comes to men.”
Last week, Simpson revealed to her followers that she had lost 100 lbs. in six months. The fashion designer also shares daughter Maxwell Drew and son Ace Knute with husband Eric Johnson.

),” Simpson captioned a two-photo slideshow featuring both herself solo and one snap with her 6-month-old baby girl.
In the images, the star is wearing black sunglasses and a black midi dress, featuring long bell sleeves, a pleated skirt and a belted, cinched waist.
A source told PEOPLE that Simpson was “very committed” to her weightloss journey and made it happen with hard work and dedication.
“She set a goal and she went for it,” the insider says. “She had a hard time not feeling like herself.”
Simpson worked out with trainer Harley Pasternak and his co-trainer Sydney Liebes, and got back to her favorite form of exercise, walking.

“Jessica had a trainer and she was very committed to working out. She also did a lot of walking — walking is huge for her mentally and physically,” the source said. “It’s always been something she does to clear her head and for the steps.”
“She ate a lot of vegetables. She also discovered the vegetables she likes that can also be masked into different dishes. And she limited foods that were fried and high in calories. But she did not deny herself and gave herself nice healthy meals,” the source said. “She believes in moderation and she was conscious of her goal. At certain times she allowed herself to indulge.”
Simpson told PEOPLE in July that she was “working really hard” on losing weight.
“It’s not easy at all, but I am determined to feel good,” she said. “I discovered I really like cauliflower. Who knew it could be a substitute for almost anything?!”

In July, Schumer shared a sweet shot of herself walking on the beach with Fischer and their baby boy.

The entrepreneur posed with her kids and husband Eric Johnson, 37, for a family photo alongside Moana and Maui. They wore beach-themed outfits with vibrant greens and floral designs.
The singer and businesswoman celebrated her son’s birthday with a tribute on her Instagram, featuring a video of her two kids singing “The Happy Birthday Song” in their own style of Carpool Karaoke.

On Tuesday, the singer and actress, 39, shared a sweet photo on Instagram with her daughter Birdie Mae. As Simpson sat on a bed, she held up her 6-month-old daughter against her chest and flashed a smile for the camera.
“My little labor of love this year #BIRDIEMAE” she captioned the image.
One follower, however, assumed her smile wasn’t the only thing that Simpson was flashing in the shot and accused the star of exposing her nipple in the comments section.
“#nipslip,” wrote the user.
Simpson responded with the ultimate comeback, proving she has both class and humor.
“I think it’s flattering that you think my nipple is that high up,” she quipped.

Aside from the “nip slip” comment, there were plenty of other users who complimented the star for her appearance in the photo, especially after welcoming Birdie in March.

To achieve those impressive results, Simpson recently revealed to PEOPLE that she’s been focused on getting back in shape following her tough pregnancy with Birdie, which included some seriously swollen ankles.
“I am working really hard right now,” she said in July. “It’s not easy at all, but I am determined to feel good. I have been doing a lot of walking — getting my steps in not only burns calories but it also helps me clear my head and get focused.”
Along with her daily steps — Simpson shared that she tries to walk three miles a day with her husband, Eric Johnson, and kids, daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 7, and son Ace Knute, 6 — she’s also making improvements to her diet.
“I am eating healthy too — I discovered I really like cauliflower. Who knew it could be a substitute for almost anything?!” she noted.
