I still can’t believe they went with 5SOS5. Like I don’t hate it. It’s just disappointing. Even though CALM is self titled as well it is a beatiful title imo. 5SOS5 sounds like not a real title.

Okay, now that things have settled in my brain a bit, I think we set ourselves up for disappointment with the analysis and symbolisms here. And look I don't hate 5sos5, I made this last year when we got that little video of them back in the studio.

And I also made this one after the Zack Sang interview.

But like since them with complete mess and all the talk about the creative process and all that we kinda ended up expecting too much. It's the expected name. It's their 5th album. You don't really get that chance many times as artist. They rebranded to go by 5 seconds of summer after a long time with a logo that said just 5sos. 5sos is who they are and they were probably discussing this for way longer than any of can imagine to a point where they felt like it was the right call. Michael did said he wished they hadn't self titled yet to self title this one.

I get the disappointment cuz I too wanted something more. What? I don't know. I'd love to see some of the other names they were considering. But like it's okay.
