Information Architects (iA) win Apple Design Award

I remember back in 2010 the iA3 theme was all the rage on Wordpress sites.

I think it was inspired by the iA writer ipad app, which I'd enjoyed. The app was beautiful and made me feel like writing was an artful thing to do.

Anyway, the Wordpress theme was cool, and readable. I had my own custom version because I liked it so much.

Even Sylvesterstallone.com used it.

I was a bit surprised that iA are still trucking. I was something of an Oliver Reicheinstein (the founder and CEO) fangirl. Today I noticed they are still making an iA Writer app ($49.99) and it is a finalist in the Interactive section of the 2025 ADA winners.

The cool thing about this version - is that it dims the parts of your text that are written by AI. So you can easily see which bits you genuinely wrote. I like that too.

I feel like tumblr app is trolling me. First it doesn't notify me about comment replies and I spend time anxiously refreshing posts like a stalker, and now it tells me someone tagged me somewhere but the post doesn't have my tag and I spend time worrying whether I changed my url and forgot and should I even reply because I don't want to seem like a weirdo.

Sigh. It's so hard to be me.

No fucking way dude. Pinterest is now pausing my music whenever I go to a new page & there's a video ad. Opened to the main page, there was a video ad up top, music paused. I thought wtf thats odd & unpaused it. I went to search smth & the search result page had a video ad. Music paused again. Ok weird its happened twice now... searched another term and that page didn't have a video ad so it kept playing. Searched a 3rd time & got another video ad, music paused.

WHY IS PINTEREST OVERRIDING MY FUCKING MUSIC FOR ITS ADS!?

Not to mention the ads were MUTED! They're SILENT!? So why are you pausing my music!? I'm so sick of advertisements man and now I can't even ignore them!? Brb gotta slam my head into the FUCKING GROUND FOR A SEC
