Her father is Tigrinyan, Tigrayan half Ciscaucasian, Circassian, Chechen and Georgian ꒰ Ciscaucasian ꒱ while her mother is Taiwanese.
She mainly has and comes from Ciscaucasian roots, on her Georgian side.
Some people don’t really believe that she is fully Tigrinyan, Tigrayan due to that side of the family having a LOT of Caucasian |  Ciscaucasian and Eurasian admixture, which doesn’t make them “True or Pure Africans”. ꒰ Some Highlander Ethiopian and Eritreans have an average of 50% Eurasian admixture, but her family has over 70% Eurasian admixture ꒱
She suffers for Oculocutaneous albinism type 2 or OCA2, where her skin color is a very pretty and light alabaster, porcelain color, she can still tan but only lightly, as well as only making very light pigments.
She also suffers from Heterochromia ❪ all 3 types ❫ and Distichiasis, double rows or extra-long doll-like eyelashes.
She has a huge male fan base, with the majority or 99% of her fan base being male fans and within her fan base there is cult of attractive gay guys, guys, himbos | boytoys, gym bros and trophy husbands | boyfriends that are OBSESSED with her.
She only gains weight on her butt and chest and sometimes on her thighs with all the fat going in the right places but everything else is still skinny, she gains and loses weight pretty easily. That way when she gains weight, she still keeps her figure with it just being fuller think voluptuous.
Safina’s chest size has never stopped growing, ❪ big but perfect ❫ ever since she hit puberty and is still growing. But she has said that if it continues getting bigger to a point it's giving her back pain, she is going to have breast reduction surgery.
Safina is known for being a sweet, compassionate and beautiful young girl but isn’t in any way very smart. A lot of people say what she lacks in smarts she makes up in her beauty and delightful personality.
She has huge beauty pageant, modeling and acting career, that’s bigger and more successful than all her seniors even just recently wining Miss Teen World.
Safina is a model turned to singer, similar to American singer, Cassie, most people think she should have stayed as model, since although she has a beautiful, soft, angelic almost siren-like voice. Her vocals aren't exactly the best.

Laureate Tsegaye Gabre-Medhin (August 17, 1936 – February 25, 2006) was an Ethiopian poet and novelist. His novels and poets evoke retrospective narratives, fanciful epics, and nationalistic connotations. He is considered to be one of the most novelists along with Baalu Girma and Haddis Alemayehu, his books were successful in commercial sales and even academic thesis. His works are solely based in Amharic and English.
He was born in Bodaa Village, Ethiopia. He is part Amhara and part Oromo. He learned Ge’ez, the ancient language of the church, which is an Ethiopian equivalent of Latin. He helped the family by caring for cattle. He was still very young when he began to write plays while at the local elementary school. One of those plays, King Dionysus and the Two Brothers, was staged in the presence, among others, of Emperor Haile Selassie.
He attended the prestigious British Council-supported General Wingate school. He attended the Commercial school in Addis Ababa, where he won a scholarship to Blackstone School of Law in Chicago. He traveled to Europe to study experimental drama at the Royal Court Theatre in London and the Comédie-Française in Paris. He devoted himself to managing and developing the Ethiopian National Theater.
He attended the first UNESCO-organised World Festival of Black Arts and the Pan-African Cultural Festival. He was awarded his country’s highest literary honor, the Haile Selassie I Prize for Amharic Literature. The prize earned him the title of Laureate.
He was appointed as vice-minister of culture and sports and was active in setting up the Addis Ababa University Department of Theatre Arts. He wrote an extended, and very poetical, essay “Footprints in Time”, which appeared in large format with photographs. It traced Ethiopian history from the prehistoric time of Lucy, the first-known hominid that had been found in the Afar Desert in eastern Ethiopia.
He remained in close contact with the Ethiopian diaspora. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

The Tedros Files - Most of us know the WHO/UN/WEF are communist organizations and I have warned people that the WHO is the military enforcement arm of the UN and who better to lead this agenda but a communist, terrorist from Ethiopia….Tedros A. Ghebreyesus and his associates (mostly from the US). And with the recent WHA (World Health Assembly) meeting in May the Biden/Harris administration has handed our sovereignty over to the WHO/UN. The Amendments to the IHR were passed in a very questionable manner but the Pandemic Treaty did not pass in May but they are working on getting it passed by the end of this year. REMEMBER these actions violate our US Constitution and no international agreement or treaty is valid in the US if violate our Constitution. But it won’t get stopped at the federal level…..the states have the power of refusal to comply and that is where we need to place our attention in order to stop what is coming down from the WHO/UN/WEF to our federal government and then to the states. The buck stops with the states and the people of the states and that is a fact most Americans forgot long ago thanks to the dumbed down American education (indoctrination) system. The Tedros Files (be sure to click on “continue reading”). There is also a 23 minute video that contains the same information in the article. Download and script are also avaialable.
International Organizations Leadership Recruitment Policies: the Failed Experiment of Dr. Tedros A. Ghebreyesus Candidacy for WHO Director General Position - this study was submitted in an attempt to stop Tedros from becoming the Director General of the WHO. Understand these organizations are not about health, peace, helping the poor or the environment. They were set up from day one to do just the opposite. They are about depopulation, control, global communism, redistribution of wealth and greed. They are all sociopaths and that includes many from our own country. STUDY
And in September the UN meets at the UN headquarters in NYC during the Summit of the Future (Sept. 20-23) to pass the Pact of the Future which is giving the UN what they UN has wanted from the day it was created. The “one world government” with the communist UN at the head of the table. If no one speaks out against the Pact of the Future by September 3rd it will probably be a done deal before the summit even starts. Stayed tuned for more on this. And believe me all their flowery words about helping the poor, women and girls and saving the earth from us disgusting humans is not what this is really all about. They must LIE in order to force compliance. If people did some research and understood the real agenda they would never go along so these sociopaths must and do LIE. PACT FOR THE FUTURE (Rev. 3 and final)
Agenda and Expectations for the Summit of the Future
Based on the provided search results, the key agenda items for the Summit of the Future include:
Inter-governmental negotiations on issues decided by Member States, aiming to agree on an action-oriented Pact for the Future.
Global Digital Compact: an annex to the Pact for the Future, focusing on digital cooperation and governance.
Declaration on Future Generations: another annex to the Pact, emphasizing the importance of long-term thinking and sustainability.
Practical strategies for achieving shared aspirations, building upon established frameworks such as the UN Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 2030 Agenda, Paris Agreement, and Addis Ababa Action Agenda.
Expected outcomes of the Summit include:
A new international consensus on multilateral solutions to current and future challenges, demonstrating the effectiveness of international cooperation.
Agreement on the Pact for the Future, outlining concrete actions and commitments from Member States.
Launch of the Global Digital Compact, setting a framework for digital cooperation and governance.
Enhanced focus on future generations, with the Declaration on Future Generations serving as a catalyst for sustainable decision-making.
Practical strategies and solutions for addressing pressing global challenges, such as climate change, inequality, and pandemics.
Republican Governors Send Clear Message to World Health Organization: We Will Not Comply - well when the rubber meets the road lets see how many of these Governors really stand up and refuse to comply. Even my own TN Governor and our TN AG will bow to the courts and if ordered by the court to comply they will. They fail to know the history of our Constitution and that the power rests with the states and the people of the states not the federal government and that incluces the Supreme Court. If the Governors fails to act then responsibility rests with the people and if the people fail to stand up against tyranny then we are truly lost as a nation. ARTICLE

Top Underrated Artists You Should Discover on ROVR: A Journey Beyond the Mainstream
That dusty vinyl record that is in your grandma’s attic, remember? The one with the cover that had been damaged and a band name that was hard to fathom? Its sound was like no other you ever heard on the planet; it was a pulsating energy that transports you into another world. That is what is magical about finding amazing underrated music—this sonic expedition does not follow any predictable patterns and rather ignites a love for unexpected things.
ROVR isn’t an ordinary radio station. We are the antithesis of clichéd, expected and brainwashing mainstream media. Our radio has reinvented itself as a curator of sound-like universe where rare pearls glitter even brighter than ever before. From the Ethiopian jazz revival’s pulsating rhythms to the hauntingly beautiful throat singing of Mongolia, ROVR grants you access to the unheard of treasures from all over the globe.
The Global Groove
The internet has opened doors for a wide variety of music genres from across continents. One genre making waves again is Ethiopian Jazz. It’s made up of soulful melodies, intricate horn sections, and captivating rhythms. Explore Mulatu Astatke’s music who has been dubbed “the father of Ethio-jazz” his music is full of life and energetic. Check out his famous track "Yekatit (Dimitri from Paris Remix)" on ROVR and get ready to be transported to the heart of Addis Ababa.
Crossing Borders
Music should have no boundaries. The best artists are constantly going beyond the limits, obliterating the distinctions and inventing sounds that cannot be pigeonholed. Think of Sophie, a Scottish electronic music producer whose vibrant combination of pop, electronica, and hyperpop reframed the sound of the late 2010s. Her music is a riotous blend of candy-colored melodies, glitchy textures, and playful vocals—a sonic fun park that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Check out her ROVR single “Bffa CULT” if you want to dance on your couch.
Finding Local Hidden Treasures
There is something special about discovering artists from where you live. Musicians from our areas infuse their work with local influences – they tell stories unique to their regions through sound. Bandcamp reviews and local radio shows are a great place to find such a diamond in the rough. Luísa Sonza is causing quite a stir with her Brazilian fusion of pop, funk, and bossa nova resulting in an irresistible sophisticated feel. You can listen to “Braba”, one of her top songs on ROVR; this experience will leave you hanging at its climax barely able to contain yourself amidst all the energy that propels Brazilian pop music forward
Genre-Bending Mavericks
Innovation doesn’t exist alone. Quite often, artists will look at various genres and come up with a fusion that is entirely unique; this kind of music defies every conceivable stereotype or conventional music norm. On ROVR, musicians like Lido Pimienta, Canadian singer-songwriter who combines electronic music with Colombian folk and indigenous chanting are present. Her songs describe her journey through life as she learns about herself and her people in a beautiful way. Find out more by listening to the incredible song called “No Se” on ROVR and you will realize what it means to create genre-mashing kind of music.
Bringing Treasures to Light
All over the world, underground music thrives. For example, we have witnessed rapid expansion of Korean Indie Rock scene. Some groups such as The xx have made profound lyrics alongside intricate guitar work which is essentially touchy-feely for individuals searching for meaning in their lives. They sound sad but hopeful making them ideal for introspective nights. Listen to one of their touching songs called “Arirang” on ROVR if you want a taste of real Korean Indie rock from its soul.
And Now….
The thing that is special about “underestimated music” is its power to astonish and motivate, forcing us outside our comfort zone, exposing us to new cultures, and sparking an interest in the unexplored. ROVR goes beyond being just a music platform; it opens up a window for sonic discovery. Therefore, pick your earphones and join us on this musical trip as we take you through amazing experiences.
What will become of the future of discovering music? Will AI algorithms be responsible for our playlists or will accidental surfing on the net keep leading us? One thing remains certain- journeying to find new music matters as much as the new music itself. For this thrilling escapade let ROVR be your compass.

☀️ Kickstarted Artist of the Day: Minas Kahsay
Minas Kahsay is an Ethiopian painter, designer, and illustrator hailing from the city of Addis Ababa. Self-taught as an oil painter, his most famous personal medium—paper mosaic pieces cut out from magazines—arose out of necessity, when a shortage of oil paints hit Addis Ababa in 2015. (Minas now faces the unique problem of having a shortage of magazines.) His art is heavily influenced by traditional Ethiopian art, with the geometric patterns of his motherland prominently adorning his art as much as they adorn their women’s clothing, basketry, and home decorations. Many of his mosaics also celebrate the women of his country.
Some of Minas’s most recent works are digital paintings and illustrations, depicting the 2-year long genocide and civil war in the northern semi-autonomous province of Tigray and its lasting effects. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed launched the war with a murderous “law-and-order” operation against the province in 2020 November, in response to what he claimed was an attack on an army compound. The death toll from the war totals as many as 378,000 dead, according to Ghent University. Minas hopes that Web3 will help his digital works gain widespread visibility outside of Ethiopia.

Merikokeb Berhanu, born in 1977, is a contemporary artist living and working in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Drawn to painting from an early age, she attended the University of Fine Arts and Design in Addis from which she graduated in 2002. She has since set up the Nubia Studio with a group of fellow artists, a dynamic cultural centre and studio space in the heart of Addis Ababa that has been instrumental in supporting and promoting contemporary art practices in the Ethiopian capital.
Whilst deeply rooted in the strong tradition of painting that informs much of the current art teaching in her native country, Berhanu’s practice transcends the easily recognizable figurative “Ethiopian style” brought about by the country’s long artistic, cultural and political isolation.
In her paintings, abstract forms and dense backgrounds intertwine with reoccurring recognizable elements, ripened fruit, blooming flowers and stylised human forms. Inspired by everything that surrounds her as well as delving deep into her emotional state, her works explore a rich imagery that draws on aspects of every day life. Elements from contemporary urban life – aged constructions of corrugated iron sheets, masked sweepers, ghostlike silhouettes – blend with the fabric and landscape of the countryside, highlighting the ever present tension brought about by rapid urbanisation. Often informed by her dreams, whose vividness is enhanced by the rich, saturated colours in her canvases, her practice explores an intensely private world rendered with abstract, tight compositions whose elements are pushed to the front of the picture plane.
“I have never tried to communicate my paintings with words; I am always after the forms, lines and arrangement that can express the visual equivalent of my feelings and thoughts. I want the viewers of my work to ‘hear’ what the images have to say through their own power. Sensation can be experienced through elements of art. The life that we are passing through, light, line, the complexity and density of what surrounds us, the thick fog and smoke, happiness and hope, misery and bliss, all elements push me to think and paint. And let my perception be crystallised through visual elements as a form of language.”

Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye | Morgan State University | Hate speech | misogyny | Mocking rape | Genocide denial
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye is a PhD holder and a Morgan State University graduate who spent the entire Tigray genocide period spewing racist misogynist violent content and hate speech on Twitter using different accounts and stolen women’s photos. The latest in our series of members of Ethipia’s academic elite who used their education to tirelessly support the Ethiopian government during its campaign of rape and murder, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye who is supposedly an expert in IT operated numerous accounts even as Twitter blocked and banned them for mocking rape victims. He had no sympathy even as 600,000 Tigrayans died from the genocide he supported. Until this day he continues with extremely racist content that targets Tigrayans, Somalis and Ukrainians.
Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye described himself as a “cyber security and data science researcher,” as well as an “educator and innovator,” on his original Twitter profile. When the genocide of Tigrayans began in 2020, he began to dedicate more and more of his time to using Twitter for hate speech, denying war crimes and spreading racism. But as his foul conduct would likely geet him in trouble in the work force, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye decided to change his Twitter handle, Twitter name and profile picture in order to engage in abusive disgusting behavior online without revealing his identity.
Unfortunately for him, Tigrayan online investigators were able to easily identify his identity despite him being a self declared cyber security expert. More on that later.
In 2021, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye changed his handle from @RasWonde to @GraceHoneyPot and his Twitter name to Grace. He engaged in catphishing by stealing the photograph of a young woman in Addis Ababa and pretending to be her (we are not identifying the woman, but we want to make it clear she has nothing to do with Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye’s online activities).
With the persona of a young woman, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye began to mock rape victims of the Tigray genocide. Ethiopian and Eritrean soldiers gang raped hundreds of thousands of women during the war, and rape victims still suffer as a result today. Horrific reports of the suffering of rape victims, many who contracted HIV, were raped over a period of days or weeks, had foreign objects inserted into them, or had their reproductive organs burned while being mocked with genocidal violence shocked the world.
In response to such horrors, in May 2021, using his fake name @gracehoneypot, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye used disgusting language to mock Tigrayan rape victims saying:
“TIP: Every time TPLFites call you names like "Donkey", ask them "How does it feel like to be f**ked by a Donkey ?"  😛 Sorry not sorry 🤷‍♀️” a link to this disgusting tweet: https://web.archive.org/web/20210504185813/https:/twitter.com/GraceHoneypot/status/1389655182359900170
In response to a tweet by Kenneth Roth of Human Rights Watch who expressed sadness about the reports of gang rapes of women by up to 10 Ethiopian soldiers, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye quoted and wrote:
"sometimes as many as 10 men waiting their turn to rape her." At least make the story plausible. You made it as if she was the only woman available in Tigray. dum dum dum” link to this tweet: https://web.archive.org/web/20210314043527/https:/twitter.com/GraceHoneypot/status/1370956686811398144
By using the picture of a young woman in Addis Ababa, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye endangered her by using her image to spread extremely violent tweets which mocked rape victims. Tigrayans complained and reported the account, but nothing happened. As the trauma from reports of vulnerable rape and genocide victims in Tigray caused trauma for Tigrayans around the world, Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye used his platform which had tens of thousands of followers to insult them with language that is not fit for someone who is supposedly educated with a phD.
#FakeTigrayRape and #faketigraygenocide were some of the hashtags Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye used when engaging in misogyny online.
As a small brained, disgusting, misogynist, insecure man, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye went after women who were outspoken or critical about the gang rapes that were carried out against Tigrayan women. Unable to intimidate them, he repeatedly harassed them online in an attempt to force them off the platform.
In response to reporting by the CNN’s Nima Elbagir who had found out that Tigrayan men were targeted in genocidal killings near the border with Sudan a very angry Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye claimed the reports were false and that the bodies of dead rebel fighters were being identified as civilians and dumped in a single place for Nima to fake a massacre, misinformation that Ethiopian government supporters were spreading for most of the genocide. He kept denying reports of atrocities and genocide with no evidence but blind rage and hatred, as even if journalists from around the world were confirming the reports.
In response to artificial intelligence expert Dr. Timnit Gebru repeatedly condemning the rape and genocide, Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye used his account to tag her and call her “a virgin.” Social media users now say that Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye had repeatedly targeted Dr. Timnit because of her superior expertise in IT, a field that Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye specializes in and the idea of him trailing far behind a woman in every aspect clearly hurt him deeply. The disgusting misogynist insult did not intimidate Dr. Timnit Gebru.
He also targeted Meaza Gidey Gebremedhin a Tigrayan and another formidable woman who spoke out and condemned the genocide. Likely burning and insecure about Meaza being able to attend powerful summits and platforms, Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye called her “a little satan.”
When Russia invaded Ukraine, Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye began commenting on Russian affairs siding with Russia and referring to Ukrainian fighters as “Nazis” and “bitches.” His opinion on the invasion of Ukraine was “The west allied to fight the Nazi to crown themselves as the better Nazi not coz they are against fascism!” Once he referred to the TDF Tigray fighters in Tigray and Ukrainian soldiers as nazis fighting for the west.
He denied massacres and human suffering. He attacked a journalist for the AFP Robbie Corey-Boulet because he reported on killings of Tigrayan civilians. Robbie’s reporting revealed that new massacres and displacement were taking place in Humera. But Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye called it “another fake Humera massacre.”
Instead he kept spreading misinformation saying that all the dead civilians in the massacre reports were really dead fighters whose bodies were being carried to locations to look like a massacre.
In September 2021 when Al Jazeera produced a report confirming that women were still being raped and victims of horrible sexual violence weaponized by soldiers Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye said “They are now regurgitating their old videos and playing victims once again.” Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye’s obsession with mocking the rape victims was shocking and disgusting.
After almost two years of denying genocide and mocking journalism genocide reports Twitter finally suspended Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye’s fake @GraceHoneyPot account.
But he immediately opened a new account also named Grace, with a new handle @adeniumobesum_ and made it clear that this was his new one because the old one was suspended.
He stole the photograph of another young woman and continue to catphish believing that no one would know of his true identity. This account remains active and he is using the photograph of a young Italy based Eritrean woman who has nothing to do with his Twitter activity. Again, because he is pretending to be the women in his photographs, the real women may possibly be endangered by his use of violent, racist genocidal language with their photographs.
When Tigrayans learned of his real identity, Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye panicked and because he thinks he is a cybersecurity expert, he believed the only way it was possible was that Twitter employees secretly handed his data to Tigrayan activists. He tweeted threatening to sue Twitter employees who he thought exposed him.
But the truth is Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye was not a smart man. Instead of using a new account for his bad activities, he used his original account by renaming the account. So by searching for the account history, it was easy to find that the @GraceHoneyPot account that he used to mock rape victims for two years was originally his @RasWonde account.
Some evidence is here. Look at this link https://web.archive.org/web/20210103144721/twitter.com/RasWonde/status/1345743224074358785
This link with “ras wonde” in it leads to a tweet he made in 3rd January 2021. It is his original account and you can see his real photo, his real name in Amharic and his original handle.
But then a few weeks later he tweeted this 24 January 2021.
This link also has “ras wonde.” In this picture, he changed the photo to the stolen one of the young women, but he did not change the handle yet. So we can see his original @RasWonde handle with the stolen photo and the fake name Grace.
On 25 January 2021 he tweeted with this link and the new handle: https://web.archive.org/web/20210125005720/https://twitter.com/GraceHoneypot/status/1353507057266274311
But he forgot to change the old bio from @Raswonde and it still say “AI for cyber security researcher, educator, innovator.” In the pictures below, you can see the same tweets for both @Raswonde and even @Gracehoneypot. So if you want to steal women’s photos and use Twitter to attack and harass women and rape victims the lesson is you should not use your own account!
Nowadays with the genocide in Tigray slowing down Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye focuses his energy on racism and hate speech targeting Somali people. Using his new account @adeniumobesum he uses disgusting racist stereotype language and calls Somali people by using an ethnic slur “zoomali” which is very offensive to Somali people and culture. He spent the last year using this term and spreading racism against them and also calling them bitches.
He also uses xenophobia and islamophobia against them.
One tweet read:
“Zoomali eating banana like a monkey and stateless. You guys kill each other like the worst epidemic and still practice the Abrhamic religion, Islam.” Here is the link: https://x.com/AdeniumObesum_/status/1645292412451934208
Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye is an insecure, evil, disgusting misogynist. He spent years of his life dedicated to mocking victims of a genocide that left 600,000 people dead. His hatred of women who were not intimidated or afraid of him triggered an anger in him that led him to an obsession with women journalists, activists and anti genocide voices. He tried to pretend to be a woman, using the faces he stole through catphishing. In the end, Tigrayan women are the ones who exposed his real identity.
He is just another member of Ethiopia’s educated elite who used his education for genocidal purposes, siding with rapists against girls and women.
N.B reminder that the women seen in the photographs of Mr. Wondimu Kassahun Zegeye twitter accounts HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS TWITTER ACTIVITY! They did not consent to their images being used in this disgusting way, which is illegal and a violation of their rights.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
Jeremiah 31:3
GOD'S ETERNAL LOVE
Yesterday we learned the first prison lesson from Pastor Okuk Ojula who was incarcerated on false charges for three and a half years in a federal prison in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

When Jim Cunningham was able to visit him in the prison, he told Jim that before the prison experience, he had centred his life on serving the Lord, pursuing his education to the highest level (he has an MA in economics from the University of Reading-UK), doing research work and other good things to help people. But he had never thought of imprisonment as having any spiritual or practical value. He commented, “Time was very precious to me and I never thought of wasting it in prison sitting for nothing under a hostile situation.”

But God taught Pastor Okuk several lessons. The second one is that the depth of God’s love for us is eternal. He says, “I was in prison for my protection. God put me in prison beforehand to escape the massacre of the elites and the educated people of my tribe in the Gambella region — the incident of December 2003 that shook the media world.”

Genocide Watch reported that at least 416 Anuak people were massacred in December 2003 in Gambella led by Ethiopian government troops in uniform, but they were joined by other local tribal people from highland areas. Between 3000 and 5000 additional Anuak refugees fled into Sudan as refugees.

The pretext for these massacres was the ambush of a van on December 13th by an unidentified gang who murdered its eight occupants, who were U.N. and Ethiopian government refugee camp officials. There is no evidence that the killers were Anuak. The Ethiopian troops responded by murdering hundreds of Anuak civilians in Gambella and surrounding areas. They also burned their homes and raped the women.

Sources indicated that those targeted particularly were educated Anuak men, a tactic often intended to render a group leaderless and defenceless. To this day hundreds of Anuak Christians are still listed as “missing.”

Pastor Okok is convinced that his imprisonment in Addis was God’s love and protection because if he had been at home, he would have been a prime target because of his education.
Response
Today I will walk in the assurance of God’s love and His positive actions on my behalf even when they do not seem to be favourable.
Prayer
Pray for those brothers and sisters experiencing injustice without the understanding of God’s purposes.
