Lol that hc abt Meeple’s last name being “Billiard” was so good and made me wanna share all my own brawler name hcs:

Larry and Lawrie (this one’s stupid lmao) - So, since they’re robots without actual biological families, they wouldnt have actual family names. But i like to think that on all legal records where they need to have one, their last names are “Ampersand”. Like, “&” spelled out. So Larry & Lawrie are literally “Larry Ampersand, Lawrie (Ampersand)”

Mico - His real first name is actually Rico. But because there was already a “Rico” in the park, he couldn’t go by that, so everyone started calling him “Monkey Rico”. Eventually, someone had the genius idea to shorten in to “Mico”, and the name stuck.

Gray - His real name is Antonio Grise. He goes by Toni to his really close friends, but on stage/in the movie business, and to people he doesn’t know, he goes by Gray, the english translation of his last name.

(lol and yeah, these headcanons make the trio a reference to the lyrics of Copacabana. Lola, Toni, and Rico)

Sam - I hc he didn’t have a last name until he took Belle’s after they were together for a bit.

Belle - Based on the actual outlaw, i think “Belle” is short for her full first name “Maybelle.” One person calls her Shirley, which is Sam on occasion (its like an endearing pet name for her)

Colt - His first name is most definitely Edwin/Eddy based off the irl outlaw Belle’s inspired by. On top of that i headcanon he’s changed his name a lot since then, and his relationship with his name is kinda complicated.

He was born “Edwin Starr”, but after he first ran away from his parents he kinda disowned his last name and stopped going by it, eventually changing it to “Reed”. Sometime after and before he got hired by starr park, he got the nickname “Colt” (maybe from Shelly), which he later decided he liked, and then he changed his first name to that. After he got scouted and hired proper by the newly-started Starr Park (which “coincidentally” shared his former last name), he was kinda forced into the stage name “Colt Starr” because, well, that’s the name of the park he’s the mascot of. But he still hates his mom’s last name, so he never changed it like, legally.

It didn’t matter tho, cuz at the end of the day everyone in the world started knowing him as Colt Starr. So he just lives with it now.

Tldr: he was born as Edwin Starr, went by Edwin Reed for a bit, changed his legal name to Colt Reed; but his stage name that everyone knows him for is Colt Starr.

Shelly - Her full name is Felina Estrellas. One, because her name also being “star” mirrors Colt’s last name. And two, i love song references lmao. Gold star if u guess the Marty Robbins song her name’s from.

I rlly like that a lot of these brawlers use a stage name. I can definitely see Colt having changed his name a lot

uuhh today's angst victim is.... *drums sounds* Colette (actually, more of a hurt/comfort thing at the end)

Okay, so, she didn't have the best family ever, y'know? Pretty much the day she learned how "live by herself" (aka how to bathe, how to prepare her own meals etc.), her parents just... started neglecting her. Wouldn't spend time with her, wouldn't listen to her...

Also, I particularly hc Colette as autistic. The moment she was diagnosed, her parents neglected her even more. They'd just give her medicines in a way to "fix" her and leave her to be, ignoring her existence most of the time. However, all that just made her feel worse. One of her biggest troubles is with social cues, what made her be bullied at school. When that happened, her parents wouldn't mind at all. And the bullying wouldn't happen only at school: even relatives like cousins would exclude and mock her.

Therefore, Colette grew up lonely, with a big need of validation from people. She'd do anything to please someone she likes, but the people she liked didn't care. Her fandomship for Starr Park wasn't just her hyperfixation: it was pretty much the only solace she would have.

Obviously, being stuck in the park, affected by substances she didn't know, isn't the best solution. However, it's kinda better than what she had at home????? I mean, there are people who do care about her there, from people with a more gruffy approach (Edgar and Griff) to people who were friendly from the start (Brock and Bibi are her pookies, i just know it). It's pretty much the first time after years she really felt loved. She wouldn't exchange that care for anything.

I imagine that Starr Park is situated on a very large island. Thus, I believe that they have an airport/cruise to get people there, and they wpuld usually stay in the park for a week because of how many things are there to do.

I like to imagine that Starr Park works under extreme censorship to hide it's sketchy views...

Like say some employee maiming was caught on camera, Starr Corp will work as hard as it can to remove it and scrub any evidence and ALL evidence that they are a bad company that mistreats (that word is a BIG understatement) its employees. So if any legal issues or sue-ing were to happen, the SC higher-ups can just be like "nah, that didn't happen, you don't have any evidence." They probably have dedicated teams responsible for tracking down any written records of anti-starr park material and removing and/or modifying them.

I like to image it works in a similar way to the book 1984. if something is removed from the records, it technically never happened and you shouldn't bring it up again. Starr Corp might use to lie/gaslight (is that the right word) employees into thinking events never happened when they actually did, they've just been heavily covered up.

And if we go with the theory that starr park is a simulation, it can even extend to quickly removing scars and property damage to sort of further lean into this whole starr park is the perfect place and all these bad things happening are just a figment if your imagination.
