huh. ppl are really vocal on my 2-bit eva posts. i do NOT mean this as a negative thing i tihnk it’s really coo!!! it’s especially appreciated when ppl are giving me like, cultural context for how it exists, but it’s also funny bc like.

broadly i know eva is wildly popular and a cultural icon etc, but I’VE never had much engagement engagement with it prior and in general i’m not really an Anime Blog so seeing ppl come out of the woodwork to have Evangelion Opinions [and, good lord, is eva ever something you can have opinions on], is just like. they werent lying if you build it they will come. except i havent actually built anything there’s just like 2 bricks sitting on the ground and a bunch of people are pointing at them very intensely

#anyway i finished e23 last night and then just sorta sat there in a state for a solid 30 minutes #rotating it in my mind #not ep23 specifcially just the series as a whole and concept #i am crunching on it #bweeeaaahh #i cannot in good conscience say eva is GOOD #i don't even know if i could say i LIKE it #but hot damn it is for sure Something #again i do enjoy the opinions esp. because i don't actually like. feel super stronlgly on any one read of it #there is just a lot of reading to be done and i am down to hear it
