#why are mom and pop groceries the thing everyone brings up instead of the destitute mom and pop stealing for food#like how many of those groceries are there#vs how many hungry people#why is it more important?#why is it always brought up?#don't answer actually because I'm aware of what drives it#it has just started really pissing me off#if i never read about how shrinkage is horrible again i would die happy#oh the other thing they bring up is teens shoplifting#which hits me like the way some people say but people lie about being disabled#so what so some people are bad actually#that doesn't mean we need to means test income and haha guess what when you are destitute theft can be a reliable form of income for food#kill the cop in your head#again protecting corporate interests against human beings whether employees customers thieves vandals#is protecting nothing of more value than an actual person who MAY be in need and ABSOLUTELY doesn't deserve what criminal charges do to you#ps it's not your business if people are buying drugs just leave it alone
