Curious how people say that Palpatine & Anakin should have been kept apart because a politician wanting to mentor a teenager should be suspicious, but the same isn't said about Padme & Ahsoka.

I'm observing that Anakin wasn't allowed a solo mission until he was 19, but Yoda let Ahsoka accompany Padme to Alderaan alone at age ~14, and Anakin let Padme borrow her long enough to go to the Separatist capital at about ~15.

So maybe the Jedi were more protective of Anakin than many of us tend to assume.

SERINA SEDA

how they’d be introduced

It would be after the Clone Wars begin but before the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie. After the completion of the Jedi Initiate Trials, Serina Seda would enter the Apprentice Tournament at the Jedi Temple to exhibit combot skill and Force abilities, hopefully attracting the attention of a potential master. It is during a battle royale that her and Ahsoka find each other and spar, considering each other the only worth opponents to take down the other. Unbenknowst to them, Obi-Wan Kenobi is in the audience and it is through his perspective that we see their fight and Serina appear for the first time. The two ended up being the last left standing in the battle royale until Ahsoka claimed victory, offering Serina a hand up after defeating her. Their embrace at the end was remarked as unusual and had a mixed reaction of admiration and confusion from the Jedi Masters and Knights in the audience.

who the fandom ships them with

I think a few people would misinterpret her bond with Ahsoka to be romantic, especially how devoted they are to one another and I know a lot of people headcannon Ahsoka as lesbian so that would be a popular ship. Best friends to lovers?

Maybe Riyo Chuchi who is only a few years older than them and they do have a lot of screentime together during the arcs because they are both from Pantora and Ahsoka and Serina always volunteer to help her whenever Riyo needs help.

Then we have the rest who would ship her with Rivin Nox, who is in a lot of ways her arch-nemisis but also her mirror - they're both apprentices, they're both brought into this war at a young age, both loyal and protective of their cause but they are also both curious people who like to ask questions, like to ask 'why' and are critical of not only the things taught to them but also of the things they believe in when given reason to. They become somewhat each other's confidantes during the war and everyone loves the enemies to lovers trope, don't they?

why the fandom loves them

I think the fandom would be curious to see Obi-Wan have an apprentice after Anakin but this apprentice turns out exactly like him from the crisp accent, the dramatic robe drop, the exasperated look everytime Anakin and Ahsoka do something reckless and the flirtatious banter with their enemies. Like, Serina is a sweetheart and she's so kind and gentle and soft-spoken so I think people would love to see her grow more confident, indepdent and more assertive throughout the story.

why the fandom hates them

What I'm most afraid of is that everyone will think she's like an Ahsoka knock off or that she's being measured against Ahsoka in anyway, which is something this character is self-conscious of. Serina always compares herself to Ahsoka but is kind of resigned and supportive to the fact that Ahsoka is the best warrior with the most potential. But I think they would hate the fact that she's too much of a push-over or too timid but I think if they give her the chance, they'll warm up to her.

RIVIN NOX

how they’d be introduced

So, Rivin would be introduced at the end of Season 2 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars after Serina Seda, Padme Amidala and Ahsoka Tano visit Mina Bonteri so that Padme can show the girls what the Separatist are actually like beyond the droid army and the Sith. Sensing something disturbing in the Force, Serina secretly stays behind in case of any retaliation following Bonteri's bid that the Separatist and the Republic come to a peaceful agreement. The night after the peace talks, Count Dooku sends his nephew Rivin Nox to prove his worth and his loyalty to the Confederacy by disposing of Mina Bonteri. Rivin appears in a dramatic fashion, forcing the door open with a band of bounty hunters at his back and walking inside while Serina hides in alcoves of the high ceiling.

who the fandom ships them with

Might ship him with Lux Bonteri who he was formerly friends with before Rivin attempted to assassinate his mother. Now they have this tense, frenemy, determined to hate one another but shares to much class and banter to really nail it down. I think them constantly trying to out do each other during political meetings would be a cause for some people to go: "hey, I'm kind of enjoying this."

Mostly would ship him with Serina Seda because, like with Serina, he's her mirror, her opponent, they set themselves against each other, they have a lot of screentime and arcs between battles, they find themselves reluctantly allying themselves with one another, and the banter and chemistry would just be top notch.

why the fandom loves them

He's got a lot of angst going on about him that makes him sympathetic due to his mother and grandmother being murdered by who he thinks is the Jedi and the Republic. He's manipulated but is on his way to questioning the things he's been taught about the Republic. He has a lot of great lines and has fantastic tension between characters like Lux, Ahsoka and most definently Serina.

why the fandom hates them

However, he was down for killing Mina Bonteri because he was told she was sabotaging the Separatist and colluding with the Republic, which is a huge betrayal from Rivin's perspective. He's also got a lot to prove so he's ruthless, driven and has a lot of anger inside him. His first conflict with Serina was also pretty heated because they are enemies so they both say things and do things because of that, that might not be recieved well. Nothing like bad bad but it would definently be like - "oh he's a bad guy."

> Alright gonna get mildly into it for a second, the clone wars really gets into it with episodes like this, displaying how the entire galaxy was starting to lose faith in the Jedi and their peacekeeping ways, in the movies we just got that people just started hating the Jedi because they became part of the war, but this really fleshes it out and shows just how slowly and gradually the loss of faith is. Because he’s right, the Jedi aren’t peacekeepers anymore, they bring as much destruction with them that the separatists do and have become symbols of war. They’re fighting for a good reason yes, but they can no longer claim that they are peacekeepers or that they played no role in this war.
