Found some beautiful White Sea urchin “tests” while exploring the island last week! So I made up these pretty #airplantjellyfish with them🥰The online store is still open for business. Orders will be sent out every Friday, instead of daily, to limit public trips. I’m a hermit anyways and limit myself to my house and my boyfriends’ grandma’s house/beach. Putting a final gloss coat on these beautiful sea urchins! For all of my new followers, I collected thousands of sea urchins that washed ashore after hurricane Irma. It’s how the air plant “jellyfish” side of my business started. I was out of work due to the hurricane and I collected for MONTHS! I also did some photography and took photos before I picked them all up..I collected them all over the shores of the lower and middle keys. I took them home and soaked them to clean them. Then coated them in a hardening solution to make them not as fragile.. and then I gloss coat them all. They’re a lotttt of work but very rewarding in the end. I’ll never forgot how complete I felt at the end of the day after hours of exploring and photography. I’ll be highlighting these pretty urchin “tests” and my photos and products with them this week!
