how does one get into hockey?? i’ve been meaning to for years!!! is there a gateway?

anon, sorry i'm getting to you late, i have horrible time management skills; but let's get to it!

...i say, as if i'm gonna show you a magic trick haha. honestly, there's not a secret to it, my descent into the rabbit hole was a gradual slow fall littered with coincidences.

i do have a suggestion, though, and is: start little, start slow; if there's a player that caught your eye, start by looking them up -- stats, highlights on youtube, funny moments -- then expand to their team & watch their games if/when you have the possibility! there's really not much to it, haha.

fandom & fanworks also really played a good part into getting me interested into the sport, so i'd suggest also starting by looking into that if "official" media doesn't do it for you.

but, fr, it's just a matter of what you vibe with anon, there's not a good or bad way to do it -- just enjoy yourself and be nice to others!
