Alex wasn’t a man that understood much. He didn’t make sense. He didn’t find much that made sense to him. But what does make the best sense is his bass and….. cheese.

When you first met him and his straight forward comments about people you quickly understand him. A quick witty man who said anything without thinking. And awful pickup lines.

You both hit it off instantly. Talking was easy between you both and the straight forward comments stopped slightly with you. Dates flowed easy but you sure noticed one thing…. Cheese. There was always something cheese related on his plate.

You’d been dating for a little while. Today was the first full month of you and him together.

You slowly made you way to his place. A special kind of gift in hand, most would find it confusing but you knew Alex wouldn’t.

He opened the door to you already talking about somthing random. Then he stopped. He looked at you then the…. Cheese bouquet.

“Y/n…..” he said quietly. He looked at you. And that’s when he knew, you were his and forever going to be his. Some partners give the other expensive dates or jewellery…. But to get Alex hooked like you wanted…. CHEESE.

“Hey” you chuckle before handing him the basket. “For you” chuckling again as you walked him backwards into the house.

He looked at the basket with hungry eyes looking over each bit of cheese. Looking over every kind before taking a little taste of the blue cheese. He let out a groan shutting his eyes in bliss.

You just about put your bag down before all you knew next was Alex had your face in his hands kissing you. Hard, passionate and way better then first ever kiss you shared together.

You stood shocked for a few seconds before returning the kiss, a gentle hand came on the side of his hip.

Reluctantly he pulled away looking back at the basket then back at you. “This is the best gift ever…. In the world” he smiled. His hair flopping back over his face covering his eyes before his fingers moved it out his eyes.

He gave you a soft smile. Three soft special words threatening to leave his mouth but he kept it shut knowing it’s too early. Instead he gave you a soft kiss again before moving to the cheese basket.

“Want some crackers and cheese with me?” He smiled.

You got closer to him looking over the cheese selection. “I’d like that”
