4/5 โญ๏ธ Whew, I am so glad Iโve finished this book. Wanna make a disclaimer that the ONLY reason why I finished this book and rated it a 4 is because of Callahan. He was literally the saving grace.
Final Offer follows the middle Kane brother, Callahan, and his journey to completing his task to receive his inheritance.
I absolutely love Cal so much. Heโs truly a golden retriever and seeing him struggle with his addiction really broke my heart. Itโs not easy, and no one would understand unless youโre in that position yourself.
One thing I love about Cal was his ability to take accountability for his actions and he never blamed anyone but himself. Heโs so sweet and kind. I truly wish him the world.
My favorite chapters were always reading from Callahanโs POV.
This book in my opinion was unnecessarily long, and I believe the plot was dragged out a bit. This story couldโve been wrapped up ten chapters sooner. If the story was this long, then I wouldโve rather want to see more of Callahanโs journey to sobriety towards the end. That was way too quick for my liking.
Now for Alanaโฆ
In the beginning, I had mixed feelings when it came to her. I think sheโs a great mother, and I enjoy her relationship with her daughter. However, there was this one turning point like 80% into the book that made me dislike her.
I hated how her and everyone else (with the exceptions of Iris) constantly threw Calโs past back into his face. The whole entire Lake Wisteria can SMD if im being honest. How they were treating Cal, including Alana, really pissed me off.
When youโre struggling with addiction the last thing you wanna do is hear how youโre a fuck up every two seconds.
The story did not uncover Callahanโs addiction enough to me. Everyone was worrying about him being an addict, rather than how he became this way because heโs been through hell growing up.
Never have I ever rooted against a couple so much the way I did with Alana and Cal.
Donโt get me wrong, the chemistry was great, and I know they love each other. But how Alana condoned how Cal was being treated made me believe she doesnโt deserve him.
Now im definitely not condoning his actions, but no one acknowledged how hard he was genuinely trying.
It was too many times I felt like DNFโn because of them damn Lake Wisterians ๐ญ Cal was a strong enough character for me to finish.
A few things I did like was Cal relationship with Cami. It was truly heartwarming and sheโs the sweetest thing ever.
Lauren writes really well, and the plot was good. It was just Alana. I donโt like her lol.
Enough rambling.
Overall, im not too sure how I feel about this book, but I know I wonโt reread it. And if I do, itโs only Calโs chapters.

I devoured this book in a day. BookTok has been raving about Terms and Conditions for ages, and I never gave in until now. I've been reading nothing but billionaire romances lately, so I wanted to try this one out. This was my first time reading from Lauren Asher, and honestly, I think I'm going to check out her other work. I really like how she writes.
The author isn't black, but I do appreciate her for writing a Black FMC. She did it well. No stereotypes. No microaggression. You know, things I worry about when a nonblack author writes black characters. She added important things like Iris getting braids, making it know that she's a black woman by making her skin color known, wearing a bonnet, etc.
Speaking of Iris...
I absolutely love her. I think she's super fun and adorable. Like her personality is addicting. No one Declan fell for her hard. I do feel she was a little too hard on herself at times due to her learning differences, which is normal since so many talked bad about her because of it--including her own father. But she didn't allow that to hinder her career. I love how she's her own person outside of Declan. That's important to me in a romance story.
It's like yeah the MMC and FMC are supposed to fall in love, but I wanna see who they without each other around.
Iris's friendship with Cal was sweet, too. Very enjoyable and clearly they are two peas in pod if they get a kick out of getting on Declan's nerves, LOL. I giggled at times.
Now for Declan Kane...
Yeah, he's added to my book boyfriend list. I see of the bad reviews saying they didn't love Declan, and that's he's insufferable. See, me? I LOVE Declan. He's such a grump. A billionaire asshole who softens up for his girl. I really like how Lauren wrote Declan. He has daddy issues, struggled at times, but overall, he didn't allow that to cost him the future he desperately wanted with Iris. Great development from his character.
When he's an ass. He's an ass. But when he softens up for Iris? Gosh, he was so damn sweet to her. I was definitely swinging my feet while reading.
His family is... complicating, to say the least. Declan's father is horrible. My bad. Seth is horrible. Declan's relationship with his problems are oddly heartwarming, despite how much they argue. I mean, that's inevitable for siblings. But I still love seeing them interact.
I really love Iris and Declan's chemistry. It didn't feel forced or robotic regardless of their arrangement. It was built very well. The spice scenes were written nicely, too. I didn't really care for the lack of obscenity because it was replaced with intimacy, which I loved. Especially from Declan's POV. You knew from the beginning he always had a soft spot for Iris.
Third act break up was good too. Thank goodness it didn't stem from miscommunication. I would've cursed myself if that happened. But Declan I wanted to hit you with car for what you did. Still love you tho.
And honestly, I think he didnโt grovel more is because the author probably didnโt want to make the book longer than what it was. Lauren was probably trying to wrap it up, LOL. Still, maybe she couldnโt written in a time frame within those three chapters.
The two epilogues were very sweet, too. I love how they blossomed, and enjoy seeing Declan that way and Iris so happy. They deserved that happily ever after.
I highly recommend this book and I would definitely reread this book. I honestly can't find one thing I dislike about this book. Maybe the only I thing I can say I wished happened was flashback chapters for both Declan and Iris's past. I think that would've made the story a bit more angsty. Other than that, an easy five star.

โญ๏ธ4/5 I honestly donโt know where to start with my review. Iโve deleted and redid my opening line about three times already.
This is the second book Iโve ready by tiffany d. jackson, and she writes so well. Very captivating.
The Weight of Blood is a Carrie retelling that follows a young girl name Madison Washington, whoโs a white passing biracial. No one knew she was biracial until one day it rained and her straighten hair, coiled up. From that moment, the bullying and racism gets worse.
Usually I stay away from books thatโs told in third POV because first POV is my preference. But honestly, third was much needed for this book. Itโs like I was reading a movie. The multiple POVs were nice touch, and I really love the podcast, news articles, etc. elements that were added throughout the story.
tiffany also did that in allegedly.
However, what prevented it from being a five stars for me is I think once prom night happened, things were moving so quickly and I honestly wanted what happened to be more in Madisonโs POV as opposed to the witnesses.
There was some questions I had that I wanted to be answered in the epilogue and Iโm left wondering still.
Even the epilogue felt like a cliffhanger.
Will there be a follow up to this book? I donโt know.
Is one needed? I honestly donโt know. But something was missing for me. It didnโt feel as suspenseful anymore, and a certain point, it became predictable.
I honestly thought there was going to be a jaw-dropping plot twist. I didnโt think there was at least.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Iโll always recommend TDJโs work. She became an auto buy author for me the moment I finished allegedly.
UPDATE: I heard amazing things about the audiobook, so I am going to reread this book to see if it changes my review.

I have a tendency on starting series backwards. Donโt judge me lol. Terms and Conditions caught my attention first, but I decided to give The Fine Print a go because I enjoy Laurenโs writing, and Iโm glad I did. Just another billionaire romance to add to my roster.
I really enjoyed reading Zahraโs and Rowanโs love unravel. This story wasnโt hard for me to get into at all. It very fluffy, domestic, a bit angsty, and a touch of spice.
One thing I can say I love about Lauren is the representation for black and brown women in her books. All the FMCs in the Dreamland Billionaire series are WOC/Black, and I absolutely love that. Iโm starting Final Offer next.
Zahra, I love her. Sheโs fun, spunky, full of energy, and stands on business. Sheโs unapologetically her and is truly kind. Zahra is a true Sunshine character because as the story progress, you can see sheโs Rowanโs light to his darkness, and even her own darkness she had to overcome. The relationship with her family, especially her sister, Aniโvery touching.
Her bitch ass ex, Lance, was mentioned throughout the story, but Iโm so glad Lauren didnโt make that her plot or give him too much book time. Again, the author has a way of writing the FMCs and MMCs lives outside of each other, and she did that with The Fine Print.
Now, for Rowanโฆ
The way I have an up and down relationship about this man baffles me. He started off as a complete and utter asshole, and not the ones Iโm attracted to in books. Like not even Declan acted the way he did. Rowan was unnecessarily rude, condescending, and he was one of them billionaires that looked down on his employees since he benefits off of capitalism. If I ever decided to DNF this book, it wouldโve be SOLELY because of Rowan. He was mean to Zahra and she literally killed with kindness until she couldnโt.
Eventually, he started growing me the more the story progressed. His rude and nasty attitude is truly an act and disguise of a broken little boy that wanted to be accepted and love by his father. Because every time Rowan opened up, my heart warmed for him. Just how Zahra described, he speaks beautifully.
I honestly wish we gotten to see more of his rekindled love with drawing outside of Zahra.
He may or may not be apart of my book boyfriends list now. LOL. Just another asshole brother that softens up for his girl.
Despite this somewhat being insta lust, I think the relationship between Zahra and Rowan was developed well. As I stated above, very domestic like and warming. Itโs hard to make me laugh in books, but their relationship had me giggling. Zahra has no filter and Rowan is such a grump, it makes me sick. โI donโt like you, but I want to date you.โ Like Rowan shut the hell up omge.
Seems like they were bound to happen as well, so I guess you can say fate mates?
The love and vulnerability portrayed in their relationship was beautiful. I didnโt care for the spice as much because I just love seeing them open up, especially Rowan. The sex just deepened their love. Very raw and emotion filled. I love spice scenes like that for books.
Overall, I really love this book and Iโm glad I read it. The only thing I wouldโve like more of is like I said Rowanโs drawing more and also the epilogue couldโve been longer. People were saying that this book is unrealistic, but HELLO?! Thatโs the purpose of romance books.
Itโs FICTION and weโre suppose to fantasize about a romance that seems too good to be true in real life. Itโs called escapism. Like since when yโall want to think about real life while reading fiction?
