so i think by default, i will have wuya 'working with' the guild.

he's a perceptive, and intelligent person. he's well traveled, knowledgeable, knows how to find things. and has a power that some might consider quite valuable under particular circumstances. it didn't take very much to get wuya to help, driven by his own curiosity more than anything else. still working on timeline. but wuya wouldn't of agreed to help until he was older. always putting some emphasis on the fact he isn't working for the guild, but with it.

after his mother abandoned him, he spent a great deal of his life on his own. using his power to cheat people, steal, and survive. but he didn't realize until later in life, that he needs to cover his eye when he doesn't want to use his power. meaning little wuya was frequently plagued by headaches, and intense migraines.

while working with the guild, wuya definitely connected with lucy a lot. and though he tries to maintain a friendly enough relationship with everyone-- he gets along with her the best. of course, he doesn't stay with the guild forever. after fitz' defeat, wuya returns to his more neutral stance. and, seeks the book on his own, if only to see if it is what people say it is.

again im... still catching up. so some of the smaller details here could be changed or tweaked. or, maybe plotting might do the same. but i really like the idea of wuya tagging along with the guild for a bit. silly bird.

𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄: Introduces himself as only Wuya. 𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Neutral. 𝐀𝐆𝐄: 24 during the main story / timeline. 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑: " ???? " resides in wuya's left eye. it does not need to be activated, as it simply does so on it's own. with it, he is able to read a person's mind to a fairly small extent. allowing him just enough to link to them so to speak, and read the very next thing a person may do. ( inspired a bit by shimazaki/ryou from mp100 ) and in turn, it allows him to react accordingly. wuya has very average strength, so he makes up for this by being quick, agile, and athletic.

in order for it work he does need to see the person.

and due to him being sort of connected to the people he reads, he cannot link up to too many at once. otherwise it will overload him and can cause crippling migraines or worse, depending on just how badly he pushes himself. it also only works on living beings. it cannot work on any of the summoned entities, on the dead, on puppets, or manifestations. to keep it as an ace up his sleeve, and... to keep from it activating all the time, he has the eyepatch.

𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘:

wuya is a charming, and mischievous character, who owes his allegiance to no one and no place. rather, when asked, he will claim he is 'along for the ride', aiming simply to see who wins the game of life. the conflict between the agency, and port mafia are fun. but what really drew him in was the addition of the guild. watching, and enjoying the back and forth between the iconic cast of characters.

though he may be unaffiliated, wuya is not immune to manipulation. a turbulent childhood, and a fear of abandonment, make wuya rather easy to win over-- if you know how. and once his favor, and loyalty are earned, they are incredibly difficult to lose or shake away.

𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐀 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒:

wuya expresses on multiple occasions a discomfort with his power. as he is forced to wear the eyepatch almost all the time. unless he is well and truly alone, without anyone to tie his power to.

he loves lemons. lemon drinks, lemon candy,,, lemon slices.

has a deep fondness for corvids of all kinds.

he is not above running away when his life is in danger. and knows when he cannot win a fight with someone. he's here to enjoy the show, not die for it.

wuya's a switch, and he is pretty vers...but he's quite bratty. and actually tends to lean more dom-- being submissive for a very very small few. and even then, he'd have to be in a particular mood to act like that.

loves it rough. he wants to feel it the next day, wants to be messy and sore. bite him, pull his hair, fuck him senseless. if he's talking shit or mouthing off then you're not being rough enough with him.

i think it's just assumed that wuya's UM is the ability to change into a raven. much like jack can change into a wolf. and that wuya's actually just missing an eye. wuya hasn't ever shown anyone his eye, and he doesn't talk about it. whenever he's asked about the eyepatch, he brushes it of as- " oh i can't use it " , leading to much of the others just assuming he doesn't have one? so his true UM is a secret, to everyone, including the faculty and staff.

his raven form is all black, has a 4-4.5 ft wingspan and is around 28-30 inches from head to tail. he doesn't actually take the form very often, but when he's feeling like it or needs to. he can also talk in this form, and do some fairly simple tasks- much like actual corvids can.

a bit more in depth info on wuya's UM

it is technically a curse, and removing it entirely will destroy wuya's eye. so while it cannot be broken, it CAN be transferred. the curse in itself is wuya's UM " see what i see ". and though it is already linked to none other than maleficent, he can choose to link it to someone else entirely. the process of swapping can be painful for wuya, and whoever the new person he's linking up with. wuya is literally applying a curse to them, a very powerful one, that will for the duration-- link the two together. and it goes beyond a physical tie, it's mental too. it gives this partner the ability to see and hear whatever wuya can. in whatever form he's chosen.

it would take a very very important someone for wuya to do this. as the curse is pretty invasive on both ends. one will always know where the other is. and when the UM is activated-- well you can forget about 100% privacy. wuya's eyepatch does prevent any accidental slips. but still, there needs to be a really important connection there. and more than anything, there has to be trust.

i saw this concept once, this idea, that fae only have enough room in their heart to love once. they live for countless centuries, they house so much magic, and so much power, and knowledge. it leaves little room to truly fall in love. but when they do it alters them, it makes them feel alive in ways i dont think humans could understand.

i really love the idea so much, i plan on applying it to wuya. wuya's 'romance' is usually very fleeting, it's casual, temporary. he will rarely ever say he loves you back. because why would he say something that isn't true? and i think he's usually pretty clear and open about the fact he's not there for commitment.

when wuya does fall in love, it's not a gradual thing. when he knows it's real he knows it. he's confident in it, and he's going to dedicate himself to that person in every single way possible. he will trust them, treasure them, protect them-- and there is nothing they could ask for, that he'd refuse. which makes heartbreak that much more devastating for him- and for them. grief, pain, the feeling of being abandoned, is all too much for him. it'd make him bitter and vicious, and is likely to close him off from any form of love in his long long life again.

perhaps, there could be exceptions. but it'd be hard. it'd be very very hard for wuya to love someone like that again. in the event he had his heart broken.

beanfest is wuya's learning curve for playing with others. his vignette would probably cover not only that he plays WAY too rough-- but also the fact he's never had any playmates before. so wuya's never had to pull his punches. any other fae when he was still with maleficent really didn't play with him. not only does he have the association with her- but then there's the fact he's corvid in nature.

he's super enthusiastic, and eager to play. but he's maybe a little too eager. combine that with the fact there are other students going after him, and wuya's just copying what others are doing? yeah it's gonna get someone hurt pretty bad. but!! this is the point where he learns. he learns not to play so rough, that he is very strong and that not everyone is as durable as he is. idk i think it's weirdly wholesome, and provides some good insight into his character ;;

sexually upsetting? as in....turns them off? aside from some of the most obvious things hmm. i'd say wuya's not super into degradation. maybe a little is okay, so long as it's kept fairly mild. but there is a line not to cross, and you will know it when you cross it- trust me. otherwise there isn't a whole lot else that turns him off when he's in the mood. if you've gotten that far with him, it shouldn't be an issue.

i'd mentioned this before but- first and foremost: wuya needs a partner who can keep up with him. he has a lot of stamina, and one round is not going to do it for him. as in one orgasm isn't going to satisfy him. he wants to be left absolutely exhausted after sex, the good kind of exhausted. he also really likes partners who are fine being a bit rough. who might try to challenge him, or reign in how bratty he during sex.

wuya was, for lack of a better word, abandoned in briar valley. wuya is from the fae realm. he does remember home, and he knows how to go back. but since he was saved by maleficent-- he feels no real need to go back for good. unbeknownst to him his parents actually forgot about him. and have never made any kind of effort to seek him out or find where he is now.

he usually eats dinner alone. sitting on the school rooftops where very few people can find him. he wont deny anyone's company if they do find him? but that is a challenge within itself. as he likes to perch very high up.

yes. he is in two clubs. or... that is, he is in one, but he likes to join the other when he has the chance to do so. primarily, wuya is part of the board game club. he likes the challenge of it, whether it be regular table tops or something more techy. but on his off time, he actually likes poking his head in to see how jade's club is. being fae, he has a pretty strong innate connection to nature. and actually enjoys being outdoors and in the wilderness quite a lot!

wuya is very well aware he can transfer dorms. and he would if he was allowed to do so. were it up to him, he'd probably have chosen to go to scarabia ( loves the vibe ) or octavinelle ( haha the eels are fun ). alas, he has a reason to be diasomnia. something that doesn't become clear until after the events of book 7.

so overblot wuya could go a few different ways.

the simplest, and IMO the most twst coded method: is that wuya is set off by a series of events he considers unfair. someone, potentially grim, forms a fae contract with wuya. it could be anyone honestly. and wuya asks for something so unbelievable that it isn't taken seriously. on top of that, wuya is adjusting to a more modernized world. as well as the different kinds of students in the dorm. when he isn't given what he was promised, he goes take it by force. but is stopped at every turn. which could dig into his history of never really having anything. or being given the things he thinks he's been owed since birth. not my favorite, it's pretty run of the mill but it could be modified depending on the people he's interacting with.

another idea: wuya has been around for every single overblot. he has seen how each one transpires, and finds the entire concept ridiculous. funny right? you laugh at something unfortunate, until that unfortunate thing happens to you.

this one is very ambiguous me thinks. but wuya's very used to using magic however he likes, as often as he likes without the need of a magestone. coming to NRC though, where blot seems a rampant issue? he's already at risk, but somehow does manage it for a pretty long time.. so it would take a massive spike in his emotions to really trigger him at this point. wuya-- who is incredibly difficult to actually upset or hurt. he jests about all these rules with fae, and being offended by specific things. but it's not actually that big of a deal. not big enough to overblot for.

so in this case, wuya would need a massive emotional / mental push. something or someone to press him so hard, so suddenly, he pops. im sure it'd build over time, but the actual incident of him overblotting would feel like it's out of nowhere.

either way, it's something i'd need to plot out. i'd need to go really in depth on. and this doesn't even cover what happens when he does.

wuya has a phone, he knows how to use it pretty well. and he's fine giving his number out to text people. but he doesn't have a magicam account. if he did, it wouldn't be updated or active very often. the information on it would be unfinished, or probably outdated. - he does have games on his phone though!!
