It comes together, the top shirt and the bottom... I want to say it’s base-game, but I’m not entirely sure. It’s a toss up. I think he likes a lot of gray as well, but green very much, too.

I think what made me put him in more green lately is because he’s gardening more now than when he was a scientist.

I try to keep sims with their colors... not sure why I do that to be quite honest. William has his green, greys (and browns...  keeping it earthy), Nina has her fuchsia (highlights her personality -- don’t ask me how, I just went with it), Gloria her yellow (and her reds -- I try to keep her going through the fruits she’s particularly using a lot of at the moment which happen to be lemons and cherries), Peter’s favorite color is blue so I’ve been dressing him in blue’s probably since the start because that’s all I see him in when I look back on caps. Bella has her red and her black because that’s just standard “Goth” colors -- I’ve also kept the same colors going with her husband and their kids.

I guess I try to give them a theme so that I’m not using the same things in their houses/possession. Also helps with their personalities and makes so whatever they’re wearing -- makes sense no matter the point of the story (at least to me it does)

But anyway -- back to William. You’re as much of an HF fan as I am so you’ll appreciate what’s below. One of my most favorite scenes with William in The Age of Adaline -- he was wearing dark gray. I tend to put him in lighter grays in the game, but I do that because I know I’m going to edit the photos afterwards and I tend to go more natural/dark in caps than bright (especially on inside shots)
