one of these days I'm gonna draw Joe riding Forest's horse, Askeladden... most annoying little fjord horse in all of Nevada (and probably the only one)
#FOR MY OWN ENTERTAINMENT#I could talk about Forest and his horses forever#He goes with the Cartwrights to a horse auction so he can purchase a horse for riding/getting around but ends up buying-#this old retired circus horse Cleopatra and she's too old to be ridden on a daily basis#BUT HE FELL IN LOVE WITH HER AND BUYS HER for the sole purpose she can live out the rest of her days in comfort#and she's a sweetheart too#all the while Joe has been scheming to buy Forest a purebred Norwegian Fjord Horse imported from Norway#said Fjord Horse is Askeladden <3 Since Joe bought him when he was young- Joe's the one who trained him#and at first everyone kinda laughs at Forest when he comes riding in on this stocky little horse#but jokes on them cause that stocky little draft horse with his wierd mane is SURPRISINGLY fast and strong#sometimes I think about how Cleopatra won't be around for long since she's so old and it breaks my heart
