His breath mingles with hers when he doesn't pull back immediately. Eyes still closed, he leans forward to kiss her once more with a hard press of his mouth over hers. "I've wanted to do that since the first time I met you, Evans."

She pretends warmth doesn't come in another wave at his words. "Kiss me?"

"Shut you up," he answers, a grin spreading across his face as he straightens again.
