the funniest thing about peak time is determining whether the group is nugu because of money/reseources/management or because the music sucks 🙃
#obviously the former exists for all nugu groups#but then you have the ones where the members are super talented but the music is straight up WACK#which maybe ties in with the money? like they can’t buy better songs??#but it’s another thing if they’re self-produced and the music is wack or if they THINK the music ain’t wack#there a couple groups I checked out and I’m like ‘oh that’s why I don’t listen to you’#cuz ya girl used to follow soooo many nugu groups#like are they really my fave if they aren’t underrated?? lmao#I feel like this show is a somewhat better take than the unit (since teams get to stay together)#granted ppl getting assigned to a new team actually worked for the better for some contestants#I can think of a couple groups I would’ve liked to see on peak time but they either disbanded went to Japan or are in the military#also I feel like jongup (BAP) is equiv to if someone from TeenTop went#I feel like that’s the only proper comparison#like they’re definitely famous in that the group name is known and you may see covers but they’re not relevant rn#anywho back to the post -> I was gonna name groups but I forgot which ones I was referring to#but y’know there’s a certain sound w/ some nugu groups that’s just like …ooh#jtbc peaktime#me#jt#just thoughts
